Welcome to Inkbound 1,1! This update includes two new run features, new Bindings along with Ascensions and Augments, new Vestiges, new Trinket, UI/UX updates, and gameplay changes. If you're interested in learning about all the details, read on!
Authored Challenges Feature
Added new Authored Challenges feature. Authored Challenges can be accessed from the Inkwell Dive Rank interactable to the left of the voting platform in the Atheneum. A new button labeled “Authored Challenges” will appear beneath the Max Rank UI once you have achieved Rank 1 or higher in the game.
Players can select 10 different challenge runs to try. Each challenge comes with a set of mutators that augment the nature of the run, most of which are new. Most of these new mutators also can show up in the pool of mutators selected for Daily Challenges. Each challenge run upon completion will reward the player with 300 Vault Dust.
Casual Rank Feature
Added new Casual Rank feature. Casual Rank makes the game easier than Rank 0 and is a perfect option for players looking to clear story content or quests without too much worry. Casual Rank can be accessed from the Inkwell Dive Rank interactable to the left of the voting platform in the Atheneum. It is accessible from the rank dropdown and is available regardless of player state, including at the start of the game.
Casual Rank specifically starts the player off with more Kwillings and Glyphs, more Movement per Turn, more Max HP, and more Will Reserve. It also reduces enemy Attack and Max HP.
New Bindings, Ascensions, and Augments
We have added two new draftable Bindings to the game.
Discharge:
A hybrid offensive/defensive Binding that scales power off of Movement.
Grants “Barrier”, which after reaching a certain number of stacks, grants shield. It functions similarly to “Shattered Will”.
Invocation
An offensive support Binding that gives access to Smite.
Grants “Divine Touch” which lets you Smite on hitting.
These Bindings are not unique to any Aspect and will appear in the normal draftable pool. This is to increase the diversity of the early game by providing even more options that can show up for players.
New Vestiges
We have added six new draftable Vestiges to the game. These Vestiges are not unique to any Aspect and will appear in the normal draftable pool. This is to increase the diversity of the early game by providing even more options that can show up for players.
Added five new draftable common Vestiges: Borrowed Feathers, Ink Catalyst, Ruhnstone Fragment, Scrapped Binding, and Unclaimed Boon
Added one new draftable uncommon Vestige: Unearthed Treasure.
New Trinket
We have added one new unlockable Trinket to the game: Boon of the Godscourt. This is to provide more gameplay experiences related to the Smite gameplay mechanic. Due to the new Trinket addition, a Trinket Key was added to the Progression Reward track.
New Victory Board and Cosmetics
We have refreshed the Victory Board in full with brand new quests. The new Victory Board includes six new cosmetic rewards, detailed later below.
The old Victory Board cosmetic rewards have been moved to the Cosmetic Vault. They can be found under the “Ye Olde Victory Board #3” page.

Hello, Forza Horizon community! We have to share a couple of updates regarding Forza Horizon 4, its availability, and the changes we are bringing to the Festival Playlist in the near future.
Due to licensing and agreements with our partners, Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from digital platforms (Microsoft Store and Steam) on December 15, 2024. This means the game and its additional content will no longer be available for purchase through online stores.
Before the delisting date, the Festival Playlist’s flow will change as follows:
Starting July 25, we will have the final series for the game in Series 77 which will include the last Festival Playlist that ends on August 22.
After Series 77 ends on August 22, you will no longer be able to access the playlist screen, except to see the festival playlist history. When booting the game, you will be taken to the Festival Site screen rather than the Festival Playlist.
Even though there won’t be any more Festival Playlists after Series 77 (August 22), you will still be able to see the Forza Events screen which will include a selection of daily and weekly challenges. Completing these challenges and Forzathon Live Events will earn you Forzathon Points that you can exchange for Backstage Passes.
We will update the Backstage Pass Cars list with all the remaining cars that have previously been Festival Playlist Exclusive after Series 77.
Series 77, ending on August 22, will be the last chance to earn achievements tied with the Festival Playlist including:

Starting today, June 25; Forza Horizon 4’s DLC will get delisted from platforms, meaning that only Forza Horizon 4 Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate versions will be available for purchase from this day until delisting happens.
From this date forward we will offer different discounts for Forza Horizon 4, like the one currently active on STEAM (at the time of publishing); we will also have a sale in the Xbox Store on 7/14. Please keep an eye out on our socials and different platforms to take advantage of future offers.
On December 15, Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from stores and Xbox Game Pass. This means the game and its additional content will no longer be available for purchase. Players who already own the game and its content will be able to download and play it as normal, including its offline, online, and multiplayer features; physical copies of the game purchased after this date will also work and will be able to use online features.
If you played Forza Horizon 4 through Xbox Game Pass and purchased DLC content for it, worry not: by having an active, full-paid (not discounted) Xbox Game Pass subscription on 6/25 you will be eligible to receive a game token if you have purchased any extra content for Forza Horizon 4 through your Xbox Message Center. Codes will start to be delivered in the following days, please bear in mind that it might take a while before you get your token.
Unused tokens will expire starting at 6/25/26; if you haven’t received your token by this date, please contact Xbox Support
Thank you so much for enjoying the content updates we have brought to this game. Remember to make the most of the remaining time of the Festival Playlist and that when the game is delisted, you’ll still be able to play it as you always have.

Classic, German, main line diesel traction comes to Train Sim World for the first time! The DB BR 218, developed by TSG is out now!
The Story So Far...
If this is the first time you're hearing the news, it's been a few months since we revealed this locomotive in our Roadmap and since then TSG has been keeping us up to speed with the development process:
The DB BR 218 has origins in the 1960s and hauled both passenger and freight trains throughout Germany before the wider introduction of both DMUs and electric locomotives across an increasingly electrified network.
In Train Sim World 4, the locomotive has all the nuances and features typical of diesel traction, including the careful management of gear setting and brakes across the different types of consist and formation that the 218 would operate with.
Double-headed and 'top-and-tailed' formations are possible with freight and passenger trains using stock from within the routes that it layers into, including variants of both n-Wagen and Dostos passenger cars.
When using the DB BR 218 in both Formation Designer or Free Roam, it's important to remember that the n-Wagen set included in the release features cab control specific to diesel locomotive operation. Alternative versions of the n-Wagen (such as in Bremen - Oldenburg) will not operate correctly.
Equally, the Dostos featured in Maintalbahn feature the correct setup for working with this type of diesel locomotive, including the door controls. Dostos from other German route Add-ons may operate differently.
Route Add-ons:
Hamburg - Lübeck & Maintalbahn
The primary route for the DB BR 218 loco Add-on is the Train Sim World Compatible Hauptstrecke Hamburg – Lübeck route Add-on. Here players can operate the 218 in timetable mode across 29 services.
Four Scenarios are also included for this route covering both passenger and freight operations:
Early Bird: A simple run from Hamburg (in the 218 with Dostos) bringing a chartered early morning train to Lübeck.
Late Picker: A late running train from Lübeck to Hamburg (in the Dosto cab car pushed by a 218), gathering passengers from each station. The schedule it tight and the train gets heavy!
To The Rescue: Double-headed 218s going to Bargteheide to bring back a broken down train to Rothenburgsort yard.
Foul Weather Freight: A slightly heavy train with a double formation of 218s from Rothenburgsort to Lübeck yard in challenging conditions with some overtaking and wait times.
Players with both Hamburg - Lübeck and Maintalbahn will be able to operate additional services on the more recent Maintalbahn route Add-on. This is to represent a period between December 2017 and 2018 where Westfrankenbahn required additional traction to replace a DB BR 642 that had been allocated elsewhere. A DB BR 218 was provided.
Free Roam will no doubt be a popular way to experience this free-to-roam diesel locomotive across many of the German route Add-ons available for Train Sim World 4... no overhead wires required!
As a note, the BR 218 comes with a variant of the n-Wagen compatible with diesel traction - the n-Wagens with Bremen-Oldenburg and Linke Rheinstrecke ae designed for electric traction and may not function in the same way in free roam and formation designer.
Train Sim World 4: DB BR 218 loco Add-on will be available from 25th June for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for £14.99/€17.99/$17.99
Just yesterday, we also released our latest TSW4 core update, focusing on German and Asutrian related add-on fixes and improvements. This included a set of patch notes for Hauptstrecke Hamburg – Lübeck:
Added missing thumbnails and descriptions to Journey Mode chapters
Join the Railfan TV team on Twitch and YouTube for a post-release showcase stream of the loco Add-on in action at 18:00 UTC / 19:00 BST on Thursday, 27th June!

Don’t even know where to begin with the thanks for everybody’s incredible reception to our title. We’re reading all the reviews, comments, collecting all the beautiful fan art and screenshots. You are all the best! 🌊
We’re also coming today with more news…
Around two years away from the launch of the game us at The Chinese Room already knew we wanted to create an Art Book for Still Wakes the Deep. And that we wanted to work with the legendary, artistically-ambitious, top-quality team at Lost in Cult (makers of IMMORTALITY, Citizen Sleeper books, amongst many others). Since then, the project has evolved into a full-blown Development Book – there are just so many stories to tell about each department. Obviously then wrapped in those incredible visuals.
Today we can reveal… 📘
Please check this link for all the info, an extraordinary amount of love and info is going into this beautiful, tangible piece, we’re incredibly proud. We hope, we know you’ll enjoy it!
