We're very excited to present the rainbow update! Just like a rainbow, this update has a little bit of everything and explores new mechanics through the aspect of randomness.
We're introducing a rainbow character that has a unique mechanic of randomizing the last 3 items you've got. With this character, the playing field is constantly evolving and buying an item becomes a tool to lock in your current gear.
Since we're talking about rainbows, if you decide to follow the way of the rainbow, you'll be rewarded with a pot of gold at the end.
Alongside the new starting choices you'll find the option to start a run with a random palette, character and/or brush. If you're ever unsure of what tools to use - you can let fortune decide.
The palette selection has also been expanded with some neat prismatic palettes. They are unique as they don't have a predetermined set of colors to use. Instead, they generate a random color for each enemy, based on some rules. This should lead to some interesting and more dynamic works of art.
The roster of enemies has been expanded with a few enemies - the fish and the bull. The fish enemies appear in the earlier levels and will dive under the canvas to avoid player attacks. The bull is a tough fella' with a powerful charge attack and he can be found in the later levels.
Last, but not least, we're introducing the water balloon brush! It's a chargeable brush where holding the attack button will increase the balloon in size. Releasing the attack button will fire the projectile. If it hits any enemies, it will explode, taking out nearby foes. The bigger the balloon - the bigger the explosion.
In the background there have also been plenty of fixes and optimizations, as well as an engine upgrade. The game should run even better, especially on weaker hardware.

MoS is a stream interactive game designed to involve a Twitch Streamers viewers in a fun Marble racing game. All the viewer needs is to type !play in the respective streamers chat they would like to join. Simple and easy for all.
- Where were we before Steam? We were tucked away in our little Discord server and that is how it was downloaded before as we developed out the game season by season. If you are interested in joining feel free as we use Discord as our gathering space for the community. Discord.gg/pixelbypixelstudios.
- How to play Marbles on Stream? Streamers - Download marbles, log in with your Twitch Credentials so the game can connect to your Twitch chat and begin reading typed commands. Play in Game Tracks, Community Tracks, Marble Battle Royale, and Tilted. All modes are viewer implemented so you can involve your viewers in all the game modes and just have fun.
Viewers/Racers - Join any stream on Twitch.tv streaming Marbles on Stream, be sure to greet the streamer, and get involved in their races simply by typing !play in their chat.
- Seasons?? Why? We introduced seasons in May 2018 and each season brings new content to the game. It also resets the leaderboards and deletes all the community tracks from the global system.
Leaderboard points are global which means it does not matter where you race, you are earning points towards your total. We also delete all the community tracks from our system so each season brings fresh tracks in, and gives the builders the chance to reflect on the votes and possibly make changes to their existing tracks.
Streamers get a unique experience with Marbles. Streamers earn XP by conducting races. We use a very complex mathematical system to calculate how much each race earns them. At the end of the season the Top 3 will have ONE of their emotes added to the game to spawn in marbles for those who use the emote.

Today we have glorious news! An opportunity calls to all esteemed nobles. After leaving early access in 2022 and the following year of free post-release updates, we are expanding the realm of Lords and Villeins with a brand new DLC dubbed "The Great Houses"! The DLC shatters the boundaries of your previous domain, inviting you to shape the fate of a nation and etch your legacy onto the world stage.
The Great Houses takes the feudal economy simulation experience to a whole new level, allowing you to transcend the confines of your settlement and establish yourself as the head of a powerful dynasty. With a brand-new world map and intricate gameplay mechanics, this DLC enables you to engage in diplomacy and trade across the cities of other AI-controlled Noble Houses and even the Royal Family, or to subdue your enemies with military forces as you vie for influence, wealth, or if you so desire, dominance.
As your settlement flourishes and expansion beckons, resources can be invested in acquiring new territories. Families can be assigned to develop these lands, while military regiments ensure their protection. Trade routes can be established with other settlements on the map, fostering relationships with other Noble Houses. Completing quests strengthens these bonds, unlocking lucrative trade deals that introduce new caravans to your settlement.
Alternatively, if you have a taste for war, you can unleash your armies upon rival territories. Raids offer the spoils of another's labor, while outright invasion allows forceful conquest through a brand new turn-based combat system.
A new noble house creator has also been introduced in this DLC, empowering you to personalize your noble house like never before. Featuring a dedicated sigil editor, you can create your own sigil, a visual emblem that will inspire awe (or strike fear) in the hearts of the rivals of your Great House.
The good news don't end there, however! To support their loyal subjects, the Royal Family decreed that an introductory offer will be imposed on the expansion, guaranteeing a 15% discount on The Great Houses DLC, and to entice newcomers to the Lords and Villeins domain, the base game is also discounted, by no less 75%; for the best bargain of all however, the Lords and Villeins: The Great Houses Edition is available, in which you can obtain the game + the DLC in a single, convenient, package.
If you are just coming back to the game, Lords and Villeins is receiving an update too! A number of bugfixes are introduced from crashes, incorrect AI behavior, UI issues to some balancing adjustments. We did our best to ensure backwards compatibility for your save files for this one, but please be mindful that you may encounter issues if you choose to continue playing on them. We will also continue to closely monitor the situation and issue hotfix updates in the following days!

Hello there! It's been a while, but I've got an update which includes some bug fixes, and also a bit of news. First, the patch notes:
Fixed a bug where you could pull a block backwards into a wall, and the block would slowly clip into you.
Made some changes to the movement code when going down slopes, so it's hopefully a bit smoother.
Fixed a bug where jumping as soon as exiting a ladder at the top or bottom could cause you not animate correctly.
A couple of tweaks to camera angles in two places, so that things are highlighted better.
So, with that out of the way, I'd also like to announce that; a) The game will be on sale at 50% off as part of the Steam Summer Sale, starting on the 27th of June, and b) The Sirena Expedition is coming to Nintendo Switch on the 16th of August! I'm very excited about the port, which has been handled by Ant Workshop (who also ported Thomas Was Alone and Lair of the Clockwork God).
In the expansion Shadow of the Erdtree, players can be strengthened by collecting and using “Scadutree Fragments” and “Revered Spirit Ash.”
If you get stuck in the game, explore various areas and look for the items “Scadutree Fragments” and “Revered Spirit Ashes”, which are necessary to strengthen your character in the Realm of Shadow.
Note: This enhancement is only available in Expansion areas.
▼ Shadow Realm Blessing
The “Shadow Realm Blessing” increases a character’s abilities to deal and negate damage. The item required to activate and level up your “Shadow Realm Blessing”, which are named “Scadutree Fragments”, can be found in the Church of Marika and other places.
▼ Revered Spirit Ash Blessing
The “Revered Spirit Ash Blessing” increases the ability of your summoned spirits and your spectral steed to deal and negate damage.
The item “Revered Spirit Ash”, which is required to activate and increase the “Revered Spirit Ash Blessing” can be obtained from the corpses of hornsent and other objects that ritually decorate townships and villages across the Realm of Shadow.
If you are near the early Site of Grace “Gravesite Plain”, you can obtain “Scadutree Fragments” from the Church of Consolation and “Revered Spirit Ash” from the corpse of a hornsent on the edge of the Scorched Ruins.
“Scadutree Fragments” and “Revered Spirit Ashes” may also be dropped by enemies.
Once you have obtained these items, you can activate or increase your blessings from the Site of Grace menu.
