To test out this new update... there has been a lot of computer plug-pulling and save mistreatment going on over here!!
But it was all worth it, because we are now able to introduce a new backup and restore system in this update. When everything is going well you won't notice a thing, but behind the scenes we will now be backing up your save at different times in the game. In the rare chance you lose power while your game is saving or loading, one of our backups should be able to restore your save to the previous day or previous start of the play session. It is even CPU approved!
The backup system did take a bit of our time, but we couldn't help also adding a few more things too. A much requested auto-stack button in your storage menu to transfer 'like items' from inventory -> storage and vice-versa. Plus a new decoration! A Birthday Calendar you can craft on your workbench. It will display the portrait of anyone with a birthday on the current day and is a shortcut to the calendar. All the changes in the update are listed below. vvv

Improvements
Auto-Stack!!!: Yes! Added the auto-stack feature to storage menus. Now you can one-click transfer all similar items to a storage container if they are already there, and vice versa to your Space Pack inventory. (Little arrow icons.)
Birthday Calendar: Added new Birthday Calendar craft-able decoration item to workbench. This decorative wall calendar will display a simple reminder on the day of a crewmember's birthday.
Save/Load Improvements: A more robust save/load system applied, to help reduce likelihood of save corruption occurrences that can happen during sudden external computer crashes or computer loss of power, while saving.
Save/Load Messaging: An errored save file would in some instances prevent the game from progressing past the first loading screen. This has been accounted for now, and will instead, continue to the main menu and show an appropriate error message.
Save File Backups & Restore Option: Each save file will now have two additional backup saves on hand in case any save errors do occur. If a save file has errored, you will have the option to select it in your loading menu and restore it to a backup version. (Save01: Data from previous in-game day.) (Save02: Data from start of game session at launch.)
Feed Repository: Can now hold-click to increase amount of feed to pull from here, instead of only tapping.
Bug Fixes
1900 Gifting: 1900 should be neutral about all fertilizers gifted, not just one. Fixed.
Solar Panel SFX: The sfx of solar panel being removed in rare cases could get stuck on. Fixed.
Inaccessible Microbes: Fixed a few microbes from spawning out of reach.
Bulletin Request: Replaced meteorite request from bulletin board with a different item, because which meteorite wasn't clear.
Steven's Stairs: Adjusted stairs to Steven's room, so you cannot trigger the 'locked room text' more than once.
Friendship Level: Fixed issue that friendship level-up reward could appear at the start of an event cine.
Grammar: Fixing typos, grammar, and dialogue preferences. Thank you for helping!
Opening character info after choosing Random no longer crashes the game.

Characters:
Kiyumi can now actually use the Strike Beam.
When Kiyumi is wearing a Powerstache, Kitsuro will now boost any bullet he strikes (we're currently evaluating if Kitsuro also needs to grow a moustache).
Fixed an issue with Mothilda's Ultimate: Chrysalis where the shields sometimes took damage if a different shield blocked a bullet.
Mothilda's Chrysalis now generates a small VFX when destroyed.
Fixed a bug where the wrong Sadie shot would get activated in online Sadie dittos.
Fixed a bug where bullet status effects (like stuns and freezes) wouldn't apply to Sadie in online mode.
Stages:
Fixed an incredibly silly mistake in Twinkling Tower that deleted the moving shields when pausing the game.
Fixed an equally silly mistake in Windswept Wonderland that also deleted wind currents when pausing the game.
Fixed a bug in Windswept Wonderland that prevented wind currents from spawning correctly when playing with infinite time.
I'll be honest: VERTIGROWL is basically vent art about how working on banking IT feels like. You'll fight obtuse systems, perform repetitive tasks, wonder what the hell are you doing, receive almost no prior info, and then complain with your fellow employees in a private chat room.
To be more specific, in VERTIGROWL you take control of a window cleaning platform that takes a certain number of orders, and then executes them. Planning ahead will be crucial as you ascend through an eldritch spire.
The gameās plot makes use of the āHaunted Houseā concept established in Pseudo-Haunting, meaning thereās going to be plenty of confusion and weird monsters.
