The Burster is a slow enemy that will explode on contact with props, or when it's toxic sac is shot. Releasing a cloud of harmful gas on death that damages everything in it's area of affect, and provides a smoke screen that is hard to see through.
I thought we needed a little more variety to the enemies, something that would provide some utility to the zombies, and hopefully encourage a change in your barricading habits. Further testing is needed to get the balance just right, but hoping this enemy will be welcomed.
Repair Limits
One of the core problems with balance for a while has been prop repairing. While there has been several tweaks to address this, like increasing prop health, increasing repair rate, tweaking enemy damage ect. It always resulted in the mechanic feel over or under powered. I had toyed with the idea of limiting the amount of repairs each prop can take, but since the prop generator wasn't in the game it didn't make sense.
Now each prop has it's own repair limit bar, listed slightly below the health bar. This still needs some tweaking to get the values feeling right,
Raised Round Limit
I'll keep this short and sweet, the round limit has been capped out at 100.
While reviewing everything after the last update, I came across a few things I wanted to refine, so I'm releasing another version so soon.
Optimized the fear of mannequins in the first intermediate level, as loading the models caused extremely low FPS on some PCs. This should no longer be noticeable.
Changed the post-processing effect for the appearance of some fears to be visually better and not overwhelm the image with excessive brightness.
Tweaked, optimized, and improved the lighting of the first intermediate level.
Prepared systems for possible future DLCs (currently only testing).
This is kind of a major update... again.... but that feels kind of wrong to say. I have been working way to much lol. So here is another large update.
Metal Shelves
It's now possible to stack up boxes thanks to the new shelf. You can put basically any item on it, not just boxes, but just about anything you want.
Fridge
The fridge is like a normal storage container, but it's a fridge.
Potted Plant
I added a cute little potted plant.
Lights
There are two new lights, the street light, and the floor lamp.
Rugs
There are two new rugs, a round rug, and a rectangle rug.
Wooden Sword Model
I finally got around to adding a proper model for the wooden sword.
Improved Rifle Animations
The rifles magazine now gets properly removed (as it should) when reloading.
Item Container Improvements
Item Containers such as storage crates, furnaces, camp fires, etc, now drop their loot when destroyed. They used to take it with them into the void, but that is just not acceptable.
Small Changes/Bug Fixes
Lowered barrel durability.
Fixed Sleeping Bags not working.
Fixed Pumpkin placement.
Fixed Rockets not being craftable.
Fixed Rocket category.
Pooka Pookas now drop gold, and their max drop quantity has been reduced from three to two.
Fixed issue that caused items to fall through world.
Fixed Structures not replicating in multiplayer.
Fixed multiple loot objects spawning in the same area.
