Update 1.0.0c fixes all the bugs that have been reported to me (unless I have missed some messages. In this case, please let me know)

  • Fixed a bug where the camera still shakes and the saving system breaks after an earthquake ends.
  • Corrections were made to the descriptions of the Expanded items bay and Laser defense system.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the price of refueling to be displayed as -$1 on the maintenance station.
  • Earthquake precognition system now works correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where explosives couldn't destroy bombs at level 4 when the Vibration suppressor is equipped.
  • The text for "Ancient vase" now displays correctly.
  • Stones no longer fall off concrete tiles during earthquakes.
  • An issue that prevented the use of explosives at level 7 after its completion has been fixed.
  • "Tile ghosting" issues in levels 3 and 8 have been resolved.
  • Item limits are now correctly displayed in the inventory.
  • Fixed an issue with the gates to the final level of the game not opening after returning to the previous level
  • Energy balls now disappear sometime after destroying their source, and will no longer clip into ground tiles.

Andy Blast Vs The Forces of Evil - 4KbShort
Hey everyone!

I joined in Nextfest not expecting much from my tiny game and 0 advertising budget (it's just me doing all this, remember), but I was surprised to find that at the end of Nextfest the wishlist count for Andy Blast DOUBLED! Wow! Absolutely fantastic and super surprising to find so many people stumbled on my game over the week!

For the weekly update here's what I've gotten done over the last two weeks:

  • Fixed minor animation bug on Ghoul normal walk-cycle
  • Replaced Monk sprites with correct Skeleton sprites on level 5
  • Worked on fully animating Ghoul after detection. Current animation is limited and jumpy.
  • Worked on updating Skeleton animation frames
  • Crafted and uploaded a new trailer for Steam NextFest!

The new trailer can be found on YouTube and has also been added to the Steam store page so you can watch it there if you like!

On a personal note, as an Indie Dev sometimes things can get overwhelming or you can get stuck on a feature or update in the game that is either difficult due to your skillset or not your favorite thing to do. Right now I'm stuck a bit on animations and level design; two things that need to be done in order to make the final three levels of Andy Blast.

Three levels may not seem like a lot, but it's designing, implementing, testing the flow, then designing monsters, animating them, writing their AI, etc. It is a lot for one person to accomplish, but I will not give up and am working, even in small amounts, towards completing the game! Just don't be surprised if the list of things I accomplish at the end of each week is sometimes very short as things get harder and there's more to do, but less to report.

Whispers of the Luminaries - VN Heaven
It's been a long time coming. We spent half a year remaking and polishing the game, and now it's ready to be released!

We've made major improvements to the previous demo!

Here's what you can expect:

  • Extra scenes, and overall improved story with a darker atmosphere!
  • Deleted some of the old, slow and unnecessary scenes to improve the pacing
  • New facial expressions and poses to bring the characters to life!
  • Improved scene direction, cinematics and overall the story presentation!
  • Upgraded soundtrack and sound effects
  • More artworks of previously unseen characters!
  • Much more!

New Direction: After some soul searching, we've finally established an overall identity for the game: We want to create a narrative-focused game that blends chasing bad guys with everyday life.

In order to do this, we’ll be establishing a very dark atmosphere for the game, then using the ‘free-time’ events to blend in cozy everyday life where you can meet and deepen your relationship with characters!

The following hotfix was pushed to Kristala Version 0.1.1: update to address an issue within the Accessibility Settings in which altering these settings would in turn affect the overall gameplay settings, ultimately preventing players from being able to change enabled tutorials.

NOTE: If starting the game just showed a blank menu background with nothing on it, that is now FIXED!

BALANCE:
  • (perk) Alpha: Instead of instakilling you when used on turrets that already have low Health Max, it will round your HP up to 1 (unless it's a Shield-only build).
  • (turret) Demon: Now also comes with a 10% chance to inflict Burn with each shot.
  • (enemy) CTT Barreola: Firerate +33%, Offspring Health +100%.
  • (enemy) CTTT Astereola: Firerate +33%, Offspring Health +100%.
  • (enemy) CCTT Craystructor: Offspring Health +200%.
  • (enemy) CGTT Freightslimer: Offspring Speed +100%, Offspring Health +100%.

CHANGES:
  • You now see a count of how many times you've used each turret & the highest wave you've achieved with it on the TURRETS menu (NOTE: I've only just started tracking highest wave per turret as of this update).
  • Hovering over perk icons during gameplay shows their name.
  • Damage numbers are now slightly, randomly offset so that it's easier to tell how many damage numbers are appearing (it would often look like only one appeared when it could be like, 10 overlayed on top of each other).
  • Collision detection now occurs slightly more frequently (extra for Maw) - there will be fewer cases of, for example, a microbe being so fast that it moves through you.
  • Microbe & projectile movement is slightly smoother (you probably won't notice, but they were essentially capped to moving 50 times per second, but now they can move 60 times per second, which is once per frame since the game is locked to 60 FPS).

FIXES:
  • The last update made it impossible to push microbes out of the visible area with Knockback in Shmup Mode!
  • Generally buggy behaviour when using Saturn or Psyker with weapons that have Bounce.
  • (perk) Taser & Capacitor: Now applies affects child projectiles (ex. explosions/areas), and now starts ready when wave starts.
  • (turret) Helios: Would sometimes not apply the Damage/Speed bonus from Charge.
