Lost Isle - Psyqo
Lost Isle's third round of Alpha playtesting will take place on Thursday, June 13! We'll be giving out 75 access keys this week to approved playtesters for the Steam build that will be available to download with servers live to join from 7-9 pm ET.

If you're interested in participating in this round of playtesting, or any future testing, all you have to do is follow the simple sign-up steps below - this process should take <2 minutes to complete:

  1. Join our Discord community
  2. Navigate to the "playtest-sign-up" channel in the General Hub. Review the requirements, fill out the fields, and submit this form for admin review
  3. When approved, you'll receive a message with instructions to navigate to the "playtest-embargo-agreement" form. Review the terms and, if you agree with them, complete and submit for admin review
  4. After your embargo agreement form has been reviewed and approved, you will automatically be given the role of "Playtester" and have access to the "playtesters" chat channel which will serve as the hub for all playtesting participation
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out in the Discord and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

NEW CHARACTER



—Bal-Bas-Beta, also known as BBB, is now available to play. He's a robot who uses keep-away tactics and is extremely strong when at long-range, but he does have one super move that he can use when close.

MORE LANGUAGES

—In addition to English, the game now fully supports Chinese, French, and Russian

Bug Fixes

—Master volume slider now mutes music/sounds at zero volume.

—The backspace and arrow keyboard key icons are no longer displayed too low in the button help.

—Fixed bad combat-reveal animation (missing reveal of the opponent's card, missing all on-openers-revealed UI animations) when an on-openers-revealed effect causes the combat to end prematurely. (Surprise Gift, Keep Away.)

—Fixed a bad Career mode tweet trigger for winning or losing against bacon&eggs at specific locations, which could trigger the wrong win/loss tweet.

—Grappling Mastery (Midori Ability) is no longer legal to play when Midori has no throw cards in discard. (Because then it would do nothing.)

—Fixed crash when choosing random select in online friend matches.

—Fixed Lum's Gimme a Jackpot ability so that it actually reveals the hand cards shown in the game log to the opponent.

—When Bigby's Jail super kills the opponent as an opener, the game no longer plays the Jail super movie twice.

—When a super dodge or super block kills the opponent, the game no longer shows its movie twice.

—Fix to known-hand-cards: When you exchange to fetch a second known copy of a given card, your known-hand-cards will now show two of that card, not just one.

—When Lum's item card Coin comes from a move whose hit was prevented (it dealt no damage because of Invisible, for instance), then that Coin will no longer incorrectly deal 6 damage.

—When Onimaru has the green gem storm active, his Martial Law super is now always considered to be level 3, and using it no longer drains his meter.

—Fixed some gamelog events such as "Hand Limit: Can't return Low Block" occasionally losing their text.

—River's stat/strategy card now correctly says that Bladestorm goes to Finesse stance, not to Hyper Finesse stance.

UI Improvements

—The AI is better able to value dealing lethal block damage, and lethal damage mixups in general.

—AI River expects attacks much more often while in Finesse Stance, and thus no longer mashes Counter Lunge (Finesse 4) quite as often

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're all doing great! I wanted to give you an update on what's been happening and where I am at with the incoming big update 0.3.1. I know it has been a lot of time since it was supposed to be released and it is still not quite finished.

The reason is that I've been working on something pretty important outside of the game in recent couple of weeks. Over the past few weeks, I've been preparing for and taking the PNPT (Practical Network Penetration Tester) exam. It’s a pretty intense process - the exam itself is 5 days of lab work, 2 days writing a report, and then a live debrief/presentation.

I'm super excited to share that I passed the exam last week! I didn't want to say anything until it was official, but now that it is, I believe that this deeper security and pentesting knowledge will help me create an even better hacking game for you all.

I know the update has been delayed a few times (yes, originally it was January-February, then April, May, and now we're in June), and I completely understand that it's annoying. But now that the exam is out of the way, I’ve shifted my focus back to the game. So here I am to tell you that the game is not dead.

The upcoming 0.3.1 update is going to be huge! Here’s a quick reminder of what it's going to be:
- Introduction of 3D world -limited- gameplay (almost done for the version!)
- Completely new, reworked UI for the in-game computer (in progress)
- Completely new network generation system for game (more realistic behavior)
- Overhauled mission system + of course new missions
- More dynamic and better-simulated in-game world and NPCs

I received a lot of support from some of you, and encouragement, which helps me a lot to not give up! I must admit I included a lot of things for that update and the scope creep made it really insane process! Especially the new game computer UI was not planned at all for that update and it itself is a huge change. It's all because I want the game to be drastically improved after this update on multiple areas, but it also means that the amount of changes required has been overwhelming for me at times. But again - I believe the worst part is already done and behind me.

Thank you for your patience. I'm pumped to bring you the really unique hacking game experience and can’t wait to see your feedback when it's finally on!

Today's release includes a variety of bug fixes and quality of life improvements across SteamVR, Steam Link, and Linux.

We continue to focus on OpenXR as our preferred API for new games and applications. SteamVR’s official OpenXR subforum is here and we’d love to hear your feedback, as well as suggestions for new features.

SteamVR:
  • Fixed error spam when Vive tracker trigger pogo pin state changes.
SteamVR Home:
  • Fixed looping 'updating' behavior when a content pack cannot be downloaded.
Steam Link:
To fully utilize the updates to Steam Link in this version of SteamVR, you must join the Steam Link Public Beta channel for the Meta app. To join, you must install Steam Link to your Meta headset, then you can opt into the Public Beta channel using this link https://www.meta.com/s/1hti7gedQ from your phone, or by using the Meta application on your phone to select the Public Beta channel in the settings for the Steam Link application.
  • "Waiting for host" screen will now wait before displaying, meaning the app will transition straight to stream rather than the UI displaying.
  • Small improvements to stream startup speed.
  • Add additional errors to display if it's a video code error/video network error.
  • Fix a few bugs around stream transitions to UI.
  • Improve link establishment reliability in networks with occasional packet loss.
  • Multiple fixes for crashes on the host PC.
  • Reduced hitching from network problems with AMD cards.
OpenXR:
  • Fix case where vive tracker bindings would all be bound to the first suggested binding.
  • Add previously missing squeeze mapping for Vive trackers.
  • Fixed menu binding mapping for Vive trackers.
  • Remove trigger touch component from Vive tracker as it does not have one.
Linux:
  • Fixed issues with Room Setup launch.
  • Experimental improvements to async support.

Total Conflict: Resistance - Thunder


  • Added the ability to create your own custom squads in the global game mode.
  • The system for capturing settlements and cities has been improved, now it is possible to occupy a settlement, transfer it to an ally (owner), plunder it, or completely destroy it (AI transfers liberated cities to its allies, robs and destroys cities and settlements). Destroyed settlements cannot be restored (at this stage of development of this system).
  • Added visibility range settings for player and enemy troops (adjustable in gameplay settings).
  • Added settings for shooting accuracy for player and enemy troops (adjustable in gameplay settings).
  • AI vision in tactical battles has been improved (AI cannot see through bushes and trees, palm trees and shrubs have been corrected, etc.).
  • Fixed a bug due to which airborne units were not cleared after loading the game.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the enemy could attack hidden player units with aviation and artillery (in tactical battles).
  • Fixed a bug due to which the alarm was not triggered when using aviation and artillery (in tactical battles).
  • The research branch for armored vehicles in eastern countries has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the AI ​​could build some buildings that are not in the game (on the global map).
  • Fixed a bug due to which the player and enemy troops began to spawn at the landing site (in tactical battles).
  • Infantry movement has been fixed (now soldiers will not climb trees).
  • Fixed a bug due to which battalion commanders lost all experience.
  • Fixed the display of the parachute on the back of paratroopers.
  • The balance in the global campaign has been partially corrected.
  • Localization has been fixed.
