Ah, first summer days. What can be more beautiful? Only new summer event in Braveland of course! Play and win! Prizes and gifts await the most courageous heroes!
The Academy of Fire graduation went out of control. After receiving the coveted diplomas, Students and Pyromancers have summoned hordes of Infernals. They burn crops and rob people. One should give these presumptuous young wizards a lesson. For this the King appointed a worthy reward.
The battle of elves and orcs over the Eternal Forest is continuing. Having repelled several massive attacks, the elves have faced a new disaster. Goblin brewmasters have prepared a miracle potion and gave it to the distraught orcs, whose strength got doubled. It's high time to help elves. Forest defenders will not be indebted. Every hero will get a valuable gift.
Necromancers’ cunning knows no bounds. They hired armies of mercenaries to clean up the northern towers and their defenders - ice archers, magicians and their faithful snow wolves. Necromancers goal is to deploy new armies on the old mounds.
When night comes, the Bat goes fishing. It is the most dangerous twilight hunter, terror of shooters and weakly protected units. One who will complete all event quests may be lucky to get this creature as a part of his army.
The event won't last for long, so hurry up and join the tournament. Prove yourself worthy to wield the power of this fighter!
Time for the third preview on The Spectacles Update!
Rare Fights: Elite Fight!
One of the new modes is the Elite Fight. Elites are bigger, stronger and unique, named enemies. That's right, boss fights are coming to We Who Are About To Die! Many are also sporting unique equipment and their own unique minions.
Elite Fights are optional challenges that present themselves during your run at specific weeks. As we have it currently, 3 Elite Fights (each a seperate tier of difficulty) show up during a run, although like most things in Early Access this is prone to change. We're always striving to give you new creative ways to definitely die, you're welcome!
New game mode: Survival
Survival enters the arena -- a brand new base gamemode like 1 vs 1 or Many vs Many.
Survival is similar to 1 vs Many, except enemies come into the arena in waves. If you kill all enemies in a wave the next one comes in, but if you take too long to kill them the next wave will come in after a timer runs out.
Survival also always comes with the new Rabble battle trait (see below). It's all about explosive quick combat and not letting the enemies snowball out of control. High risk, high reward.
There are many new Spectacles to enjoy. Elite Fights, Draft, Survival, Tournaments and Grand Tournaments. Worth noting that we intend to also expand and improve all these new modes as we go, especially if people enjoy these first iterations of them. Let us know.
New Content & "minor" features
The Spectacles Update introduces a bunch of new content and minor features, from items and battle traits to new map variations, UI icons, QoL and more. Here's a few random things that come to mind!

SPECTACLES WHEN?!
It's not long now! Next week we will post the 4th and last Preview.
The Spectacles Update is set to release next week, June 19th! Please help spread the word! If you sign up for the newsletter below, we'll make sure to send you a reminder.
Whew. 3/4 Previews done. We really have been going hard on this one, it's worth of the title "Major" Update, right? Think we're doing a good job? Help us out:
So unless you been living under a rock - you should know that we just announced that Fallen Aces: Episode 1 will be out THIS WEEK. FRIDAY, JUNE 14TH.
When?!
Should be in the morning. Might be at night. Sometime on Friday, alright.
What are we getting?!
All of Episode 1! (there's 3 episodes total)
It's got FIVE BIG LEVELS with lots of replayability, a ton of weapons and ways to play em and fully hand drawn and voice acted comic book style cutscenes like you can see in that there trailer.
It's a BIG PALOOKA of an Early Access launch.
What do we get after that?
Well well well, after we're happy with the Episode 1 launch and we do some updates based on YOUR feedback - we'll be expanding and iterating on the game but also releasing our FULL LEVEL EDITOR later this year along with STEAM WORKSHOP SUPPORT.How bout dat?
That should keep you goons busy while we work on Episode 2, eh?
What about the demo?
That thing is OLD, man. Like seriously old as a rusty trombone. It's still good though so we've left it up but we'll be getting rid of it once Early Access starts! The game is so much better and different now, you're not gonna believe it. Trust da boss on this one.
Will there be a new demo?
Maybe! Not yet though cuz we're busy polishing up Episode 1 for launch and working on the level editor and Steam Workshop support - but we do love free stuff - so if ya ask real nice maybe we'll do a new one down the line.
But I know what ya really wanna know...
THE PRICE!
Oh you guys aren't gonna believe this.
You ready for this?
Fallen Aces will launch with the full first episode out for just $12.99
That's right, just $XIII - GET IT?!
And better yet, with that there launch discount it'll be just $9.99 USD.
WHAT A MEAL
That $10 Early Access price gets you the full game and everything we're gonna do with it for the next few years. Are we crazy? Maybe. But we love you and we hate money. That's like our whole motto or whatever! The price WILL go up for Episode 2 and 3 though so buy now and save!
We also want something more important than that cashola. We want PLAYERS. We wanna build dis game with you just like we've done with our other games like DUSK, AMID EVIL, ULTRAKILL and GLOOMWOOD.
We want that feedback. We want that help balacing difficulty. We wanna know what kinda weapons and executions you wanna see Mike use. We want all dem suggestions. CAPICHE?!
So anyway, if ya still haven't - don't be a wiseguy and wishlist and follow the game to know EXACTLY when it's out. You're gonna love it.
