softened the grass textures mipmaps in the first level. this stops the anti aliasing and upscaling from having to work as hard, which reduces noise, artifacts, and softness. ( yes, softening textures can make it look sharper and less noisy when upscaling and using temporal anti-aliasing )
added specular reflection to the grass. ( i forgot i set it to 0 awhile ago, so... oopsy )
optimised the mesh of light switches ( the curve had 4 unnecessary triangles )
gave more detail to the first levels landscape so its less boring, and its easier for me to effectively plan out the gameplay.
put the first levels sun and sky in a blueprint instead of persistent level so it is easier to change them. for players, this will be a CPU optimisation, because there's no longer code that checks a certain variable every 4 secs to decide whether the sun and sky should change. it just checks once-twice, when you first spawn into the level, and if you complete a certain objective.

Ocean Conservation 2024 Pack
The FREE Ocean Conservation 2024 DLC is here! Add three endangered marine fish and one endangered marine critter to your saltwater tanks. Additionally, this pack comes with a Great Barrier Reef tank background and Great Barrier Reef sand substrate to decorate your reef tanks with! Collect every color variant for the tiny Red Handfish, the cute Chinese Pufferfish, the majestic Giant Manta Ray, and... the slow-moving but cool Sunflower Sea Star! These creatures have a high upfront cost but also have high earnings once placed in your tanks.
This patch introduces many changes and fixes to Adventure mode, with a big focus on the Lake level. Many players have shared feedback that the Bacteria enemies can be too difficult to overcome. Additionally, there was no reason to purchase more than one pet/critter (Clam) in this level. When it comes to Adventure levels, my intention is to provide players with a bit of challenge and sense of accomplishment when completing the levels, however the levels should definitely not be overly difficult or rage-inducing. Read the patch notes below and let me know what you think of the improvements! Keep in mind, there are more changes and additions planned. This is just the first round!

Ocean Conservation 2024 Pack added
Added support for taking Steam screenshots in-game, now you can take photos of your pretty tank designs and share them! (shoutout to Sbeve in Discussions for mentioning this)
Adventure stage upgrade costs have been reduced:
($5k, $15k, $25k > $5k, $10k, $15k)
Enemy spawn timers have been tweaked as a result of reduced tank upgrade costs:
stages 1: 3 mins > 3 mins
stages 2: 5 mins > 4.5 mins
stages 3: 7 mins > 6 mins
Upgraded food now fills a fish's hunger meter more, so they stay full for longer
Alert text now displays 15 seconds before enemies attack
Lake level Bacteria enemies will now take damage while cloning, resulting in less clones being spawned overall
Bacteria clones now have a different hue to differentiate them from the original Bacteria
Bacteria clones start off in a brief growth stage when spawned. While growing, their health is very low and they can be destroyed in one click. If they reach max size, they receive half of an original Bacteria's health
Bacteria clones cannot create clones of their own
Clams in Adventure mode now have a much longer cooldown period after distracting enemies. While inactive, "Resting" text will be displayed under the clam
Clams have been given a subtle filtering animation. The animation will not play while a clam is resting
Fish who take damage from an enemy will briefly and quickly swim away from the enemy
Shops have had some additional buttons added and restructuring done to include new DLC content
Fishpedia has had some additional buttons added and restructuring done to include new DLC content
Blue Marlins have had their max speed increased, this means sometimes they will get the zoomies
Changed the thought texts for the various secret fish

Fixed a bug introduced from previous patch that caused Corydoras to be stuck at the bottom of the tank and unable to travel for food
Fixed a bug with Redfin Wrasse glass variant showing as a glass Neon Tetra
Removed the informational text from clams in Adventure mode as this is meant only for Idle mode
Fixed Albino Zebra Pleco's variant text showing "Toxin" instead of "Albino" in its UI
Fixed a bug with Toxic Algae Clouds instantly killing fish. Fish now take damage over time while in a Toxic Cloud
Elevator Warp is a puzzle and exploration game, centered around an elevator that can take you to all sorts of places. A hotel, dungeon, hedge maze, train, and many other unexpected locations.
You must travel from floor 1 to 6, working out if each floor is valid or not. If a floor is not valid, you must press the emergency button and don't continue up, or you have to start all over again!
How do you know if a floor is valid? If the elevator says you should be on a certain floor number, say floor 3, then any indication that you are actually on a floor of a different number is invalid! A floor will have numerical clues, and you must find and check each one before moving on to the next floor. These clues could be a written number on the wall or the number of objects in a pile, but they aren't always so simple.
Try and try again to reach floor 6, exploring and learning about each floors clues, in order to get the perfect run! Each run is random, with roughly 30 possible floors to arrive at. The demo contains 10 of them.
This week, we released The Center map and the first of our ARK Fantastic Tames, the Pyromane! We're thrilled to see players enjoying the remastered map and taming their fiery kitties. We are currently working on a major update for The Center, which includes numerous fixes for visual issues, polish, level design, and bugs, such as an issue with Pyromane Breeding on servers, the inability to build in some spots around the map, and the unsupported items issue.
Many of these fixes have been queued up in advance, but due to maintaining cross-platform compatibility and certification requirements, we had to wait to release them. Now that the release is out the door, we’ll be working on getting this patch out next week.
“Cannot Download. 3 Unsupported Items.” - If you're experiencing this issue, we have a quick workaround available until the patch is released:
Download your character from the cloud onto an Island
Transfer your character directly to The Center server of your choice
Note: This issue can occur when going via the cloud, so make sure you’re doing a direct transfer.

Conquest servers are being introduced to ARK: Survival Ascended by Snail Games. Conquest is a new PvP player experience for PC players which focuses on large-scale PvP while avoiding the problem of mega tribes. Increased rates will allow tribes to set up and establish themselves quickly and enable them to rebuild after potential losses instead of being wiped completely. The official Conquest servers will start on June 13th! If you need any support during the Conquest season, join the Conquest Enforcement's Discord.
