Hello everyone ! It's been a while, but we've been hard at work on Decktamer for the past weeks. Today, we're excited about the release of the biggest update yet!
Here's what's new:
New Difficulty System (Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard)
We have heard you loud and clear, the game is either too difficult or even too easy for some of you so we’ve decided to introduce a brand new difficulty system. Each one of the 4 difficulties have different rules, for example:
- Your creatures will heal 2 HP after each battle in easy mode - You can’t undo in Very Hard mode - Herbs will only restore 1 HP in hard mode - And more! (You can view the details for each difficulty by clicking the little icon in-game)
At first, only the easy and normal modes are unlocked but you can unlock the others by beating the game in the previous difficulties. We hope you’ll enjoy the different challenges :)
Bestiary
Ever wanted to know how each of the creatures in Decktamer lives in their natural habitat? Now you can! The bestiary is a giant in-game encyclopedia of all the creatures of the abyss. It is written as you play, from the point of view of your character. At first, the bestiary is completely empty, but you can fill it by taming creatures while playing. What’s more, if you manage to beat the game while having a given creature in your deck, you can unlock a fun fact about it (and a little star that goes with it)!
While we still intend on implementing other forms of meta progression, the bestiary is the primary form of unlockables in Decktamer so we hope you’re looking forward to that (we had a lot of fun writing each description).
New Creatures, moves and talents
We’ve added 14 new cards, each with their own talents and moves (don’t know how many to be honest haha). We’re really excited to see how you’ll use these new creatures in your deck and who knows, maybe you’ll find your new favorite here!
Major rework and balancing
We’ve changed a lot of the old cards you all know and love in order to balance the game. Whether it’s a buff, a nerf, a new ability or the removal of an old one every creature should feel better now and the balancing more consistent.
Right Click Menu
And last but not least, we’ve added a menu you can access by right clicking a card in battle. It’s mainly used to get a bigger, better view of the cards (and also see which mutations they have exactly). We still intend on adding minor features to this menu so stay tuned.

In BoneTown, you've always been able to cycle through Hookers to find a girl who's appealing to you--but in the Kinks DLC we've taken it way further. Now, you have the power to create the exact girl you want to bone. This new feature is called Forge-A-Female.
In Forge-A-Female, we have give you power over everything we have that goes into making up a girl. Body shape, height, skin color, face, jewelry, and the list goes on. To unlock all the content, though, you’ll have to play through the chapters of the game.

June 24 Clickin’ and pointin’ friends! It's time to give you a new update and how things are going on the development side!
First of all: Our demo is going to be taken offline very soon. We’ve reworked quite a bit of that part of the game and added some quality of life improvements which we will showcase in a brand new demo later this year.
Two things you, the players, asked for were the possibility to continue to search for hotspots while in dialogs and to let the game tell you which option n continues the storyline and which options are just there for fluff. We want to get that into the next demo, too.
Our world map is also working and now connects all of the different locations in the game and we also have finalized the standard animations of our second playable character, which is awesome to see! Since the last update we’ve added quite some finalized art to the world, but there’s still quite a long way to go. We want to have a nice variety of locations for you to explore. Outdoor locations, german smalltown flair, secret bases and much more!
And last but not least: We are now a team of 3! That will definitely speed things up..

Together with DOSMan Games' artist, Fred Richi - we have performed a MASSIVE OVERHAUL of the game. This includes the removal of the one-hit-kill mechanic, re-balance of enemies, levels, and weapons, new music (with a menu theme courtesy of DOSMan Games' BrazenScull!), a brand new fleshed-out story, and should bring the title in line with the future plans of DOSMan Games.

WHAT ARE THOSE FUTURE PLANS?
Those plans are to make DOSMan Games the go-to for bite-sized boomer shooters. We want to create short games, at low prices, with short development cycles. We have so many ideas for games and don't want to spend years making them! We want to give you games you can beat in an afternoon, or in the little slots of time you have when the kids are asleep.
