We have big news to share with you today: Virtual Cottage 2!!! But before that, here's also an update for Virtual Cottage.
This update includes character customization, new ambient sounds, and the ability to create tasks using Simplified Chinese glyphs.

Virtual Cottage 2
Since the release of Virtual Cottage all these years ago, you, our precious community, have provided us with a ton of feedback. Some of it was implemented, but a lot was left out. This is because of two reasons:
Virtual Cottage was never intended to be a big game but rather an interactive blocker for your screen to help you focus on your work.
The code is extremely simple and not very modular. (keep in mind, the game started as a learning project for us! 😅)
By sharing your thoughts, ideas, and ways you interact with Virtual Cottage, you made it very clear what you want and expect.
So, we are happy to announce Virtual Cottage 2! It will include the majority of the requested features, an improved user interface, other quality-of-life changes, and the most requested feature of all: Cottage Customization.

When we launched Virtual Cottage in October 2020 as our first game/app on Steam, we had no idea where it would lead us.
We initially intended to create a screen blocker to help you focus on your work and avoid distractions like social media.
However, over the years, you have all shared valuable ideas, feature requests, and ways you interact with Virtual Cottage. It became clear to us that a significant overhaul was due.
So, we're thrilled to present Virtual Cottage 2! It comes with three different timers (Classic Timer, Stopwatch, and Pomodoro) and an improved To-Do List (rearrange tasks, create categories, and set up repeating daily routines). This time, you’ll also be able to add your music.
But now, the most requested feature of all time (we heard you loud and clear!): Cottage customization.
You will be able to choose between different room layouts in the beginning and add more as time goes by. The game will also offer a wide selection of furniture items to place inside your home. We wanted you to have the ability to create your ultimate cozy space! You will get rewarded one item (and its colour variations) per day, simply by using Virtual Cottage. And yes, there will be pets…this time, you won't have to choose between them—you can have them all active simultaneously!

Hello! Quick fix regarding some scaling issues on a lot of the minigames/arcade games!
Unfortunately, we don't have an ultrawide monitor to play our games on, so a lot of scaling issues go by unnoticed during our playtesting. Thankfully, Player "misterbalrog" filled out an issue report letting us know about the problem. For this, we'll let him pass!
We went through today and changed the way the all the minigames and arcade game's menus and UI are scaled on displays, which means they should display correctly on non-standard monitor sizes/aspect ratios from 4:3 to 21:9. Hopefully, it should be ok for even wider monitors as well.
If there are any further issues regarding the way buttons or menus are displayed, or for any issue really, feel free to either fill out an issue form accessible from the main menu or let us know on the Steam discussion boards.
Thanks again to misterbalrog for bringing this to our attention and I hope they and everyone else playing our game on those big ol' ultrawide monitors are able to enjoy the it a lot better!

Experience optimization: Added "Mute the Game When Running in the Background" setting based on player feedback.
Experience optimization: Based on player feedback, the character sprite in battle will be displayed as the sprite that select in character panel.
Experience optimization: Added "Free Dash" setting. Enabling this, the <Dash> Spells are allowed to be used while standing and be used even if the dash is not over. Please pay attention to mana cost!
Experience optimization: When the character is in the <Complete Evasion> enhanced state, she can pass through the Guards, Elites, and BOSSes (but when the enhanced over, it is possible to get caught in the middle of enemies because of this, please pay attention to her movement position!)
Balance: "Sea Wave" increases the size.
Balance: "Water Wave" extra increases damage by 10 at lv6.
Balance: "Bitter Tea" reduces cooldown, extra reduces cooldown at lv3 and extra reduces mana cost at lv5.
Balance: "Incinerate" reduces mana cost.

Balance: "Mana Stone Affinity" reduces mana cost. "Gravel" reduces cooldown.
