Calling all space pirates, the Broadside Renegades demo is now available!
I've made 2 of my favorite ships open for play, The Widows Lament and The Shooting Star.
The first is a light destroyer capable of dishing out and taking a decent amount of punishment. Once you master the timing of your broadsides, this ship will carry you to pirate glory!
The second is a high skill ceiling fighter that must deploy to fire its rail gun and shock shield, but can outpace anything the enemy will throw at you in flight mode. The fire rate of additional weapons is faster the slower you fly, allowing you to focus on dodging at a high speed or slowing to unleash your fury.
While the basic goal of the demo is to defeat the Royal Watch capital carrier, you may continue to survive endlessly upon it's defeat. You don't have to fight it immediately once it arrives, and warping to the next sector will reset some of your threat level and buy you time to power up.
Go on now and become a Broadside Renegade, and don't forget to tell your crew to wishlist today!
As always a huge thank you to all the testers who helped me improve the game! With each update Bean Beasts becomes more polished, has fewer bugs and better quality of life!

Currently, the game offers more than 20* hours of exciting adventures, branching dialogs with story-impacting choices, adrenaline-filled turn-based battles, amazing characters to interact with and much more! Azaries – the main character of the game – is naïve hatchling of the om’veri species (dragon-like sentient beings that inhabit the largest part of Nanraas). She is curious, kind-hearted and has a never-ending zeal for adventures. However, one fateful day changes her life forever. A series of inexplicable events, as well as her mysterious heritage, spells the beginning of the greatest adventure in her life! Thanks to the advanced system of choices and consequences, you can shape Azaries’ personality to your liking: she can become a talented but arrogant researcher capable of manipulating ancient constructs, cold-blooded assassin who can slay multiple foes without a second thought, a noble beholder of peace and justice, and much-much more! Affinity system allows Azaries build relationships with certain characters and NPCs thus making it possible to impact the surrounding world. Moreover, Azaries and her companions will encounter many foes and strangers and it’s up to you to decide on their fate! Nanraas opens its doors to everyone!
Also, an updated version of HotA: Playable Demo will be available at a later date – all players will be able to touch refined and upgraded version of the early Azaries’ adventures for free! The Demo offers up to 8* hours of solid gameplay and allows you to dive into the amazing world of Nanraas! Since HotA is an early access game, players may encounter certain non-critical bugs, glitches and performance related issues that should be reported in corresponding section of Steam forums (link) and on our Discord channel (link). Also, all currently available in-game content and mechanics are subject to change and improvement. All suggestions and pieces of advice regarding the possible ways of improving the game and any of its aspects will be carefully considered! We’re looking forward to hearing from you! What’s next? First of all, we’d like to thank you all for your continued support and invaluable feedback! We’re planning to fix all encountered bugs, typos, and issues asap. The next stage would be the step-by-step integration of new content, as well as improvement of the existing one, introduction of the new mechanics and implementation of the best community ideas and suggestions into the game.
