I'm excited to share some great news and updates with you.
First and foremost, I'm thrilled to announce that a demo for Battle Beat Arena will be available at the Steam Festival! This will be your first opportunity to dive into the epic realm of Jarenara and experience our turn-based strategy RPG firsthand. We can’t wait to hear your feedback and see you mastering the battlefield.
Development Progress: In terms of development, we have some exciting updates to share:
The first 3 levels of the game are now fully finished. We’re polishing them to ensure a challenging and engaging experience for you. We're currently focusing on developing the Elven faction. Here’s a sneak peek at what the Elves bring to the battlefield:
Summon Creatures: Elves can summon powerful wolves, majestic phoenixes, and stealthy panthers to aid them in combat. Archery Skills: Their expertise in archery allows them to strike enemies from a distance with precision. Trap Laying: Elves can lay intricate traps to outsmart their foes. Nature Magic: Harnessing the power of nature, e.g. they can summon tornados to wreak havoc on the battlefield. Passive Ability - Ambush: This unique ability allows Elves to deal extra damage when attacking from concealment or advantageous positions. We’re working hard to bring these features to life and can’t wait for you to experience them in the game.
Stay tuned for more updates and mark your calendars for the Steam Festival . We’re eager to share more about Battle Grid Arena and get your thoughts on the demo.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!
With the second post-launch update Konkwest now lets you choose a flag for your country and invite your Steam friends to play!
To change your flag just click the flag in your own country's country-selection-menu, next to the rename country button. You can pick any of the built-in ones, as well as ones added through mods. (Modded flags will only be visible in multiplayer if the other players also have the mod installed.)
Using the new system I built for this feature, I also updated a few things in scenarios.
Spain in 1700 now has the flag of Burgundy.
China in 0 now has a Han-dynasty symbol as its flag.
Germany in 1900 is called Germany again, but retains the German Empire flag.
In 1300 and 1700 France now has the flag of the Kingdom of France, instead of the modern Republican flag.
For more historical accuracy, Afghanistan, Portugal, and Iran now have a different flag in almost every scenario.
Cambodia in 1300 now uses the Khmer Empire flag created by Khnom.
Added a flag for the Champa, Lavo, Pegu, and Sukhthai Kingdoms.
Multiplayer
You can now invite friends via a new button in the main menu and the Steam overlay, and you can join your friends through Steam.
Gameplay
You can now change your country's traditional language.
There is now a "Conquer x amount of places" button in the region and the country panel, which can be used to plan several conquests at once against the selected region or country.
"Cancel plans here" buttons have been added to the region and country panels.
Other changes
Improved the visibility of flags on the ground.
Explosions on the ground now leave traces for a bit.
Something about inappropriate words that I don't want to list, so I don't encourage you trying it.
Removed the white circle from plan markers and added a plan marker for changing regions.
Fixed a bug where the chat screen counterintuitively opened behind the player list.
In case you have any issues with the update please report them. You can use the "safe" beta branch to play in the previous version. Have fun conquering the world!
4v4 PASS Time and Fireside are hosting the inaugural 4v4 PASS Time Draft Cup on June 1st and 2nd! This heavily modified version of PASS Time creates a fast-paced and explosive sport that matches the energy of live sports, and it's further complimented by the plays performed by the best TF2 jumpers and demoknights. Viewers will be left in awe as the variety of strategies and emphasis on team coordination invites an electric viewing experience. Watching 4v4 PASS Time is akin to basketball: a clear objective of getting the ball in the hoop/goal. But there is no time for breaks as the small and compact layout of the maps keeps the action constant and neverending!
The cup will feature the best players in the community, from winners of the most recent PASS Time Cup to those who have quickly moved up in the ranks. Bolstered by a $100 cup prize pool, players will be playing their hearts out for prestige and honor.
The action starts this Saturday, June 1st, at 19:30 EDT | 16:30 PDT! Don't miss this exciting version of PASS Time!
In case it wasn't clear yet, we're going to be pushing Content Update 3 back. Why? Because We're making it bigger. How much bigger?
A LOT bigger.
As I write this, the game is undergoing a complete visual overhaul, including a completely redesigned UI, new buildings, environment assets, and more! There will also be a revamped New Player Experience with 4 new maps, on top of the 9 new maps we were already planning to add this update. We have also been doing many passes on existing levels to improve flow and usage of game mechanics.
We're not sure how far back this is going to push Content Update 3, but we'll give you an update when we have a better estimate! Also stay tuned for sneak peeks Soon 👀
Thanks for sticking with us through Early Access! Your feedback has helped make the game far better than it could have been without you. You've inspired us to go big.
Chronicles of Sagrea is participating on June Steam Next Fest that runs from June 10 to June 17, but you don't need to wait until then, as the Demo is available right now!
Choose one of the three playable characters and get your weapons ready!
The demo contains the first two chapters of the game. Your progress will be saved on the cloud and you will be able to resume your progress when the full game is released.
The upcoming WolfQuest Saga* has some big new features -- pups growing up, learning to hunt, and eventually dispersing -- but we're adding some smaller things as well. Let's look at a few of them in today's devblog:
Marking and urination: The leaders of a wolf pack are responsible for marking the pack's territory to maintain it. We've had the classic Raised-Leg Urination stance in the game since the very beginning, but female wolves often do a variation called Flex-Leg Urination, and we've now added that for female pack leaders. And now that you've got older pups and packmates, they do a basic squat stance when urinating. Dispersals, surprisingly, probably do Raised- or Flex-Leg stances, to alert the local pack to their presence.
From Rick McIntyre's amazing books about Yellowstone wolves, we learned that young pups are quite wary of water. We've implemented this in the Saga, so if you need to cross a creek when moving dens or rendezvous sites, your pups will regard it warily as they build up the nerve to venture into the water.
When we added wolf injuries a couple years ago, it was possible to injure NPC wolves in fights, but those injuries did not persist -- and then a code revision later removed this entirely. We've now fully implemented NPC wolf injuries, so you can do your best to give those rival wolves a bad leg!
Of course, along with all the new features come the inevitable bugs. We've got a good one in this video, so enjoy!
* The upcoming WolfQuest Saga is "the rest of the game." Your pups will continue to grow into the fall and beyond, learning to hunt under your supervision, and then becoming yearlings when next year's pups are born. Time will continue progressing through the years until you die. The Saga is currently in development but we do not have a release date for it. ___________________
The WolfQuest saga will continue! Stay tuned for more news in upcoming devblogs about it and other new features!
We do not announce specific release dates. We will release them when they are ready.

This will allow players to get creative and further customize their Conservatory. Keep in mind: not all gadgets have variants and variants can be acquired before the base version of a gadget.
