Hey all! This week, I'd like to show all of you the new portrait for the Enchanter class! This portrait is the second in the new batch of updated portraits, after Chieri, and will be the standard for all new and remade portraits going forward. The original portraits were made over time while we were still developing our skills and the artstyle for Crystal Horizons, but now we've settled on a strong direction.
For a refresher, Enchanter is our hybrid melee/mage that marries elegant swordplay and unique Aspected magic. By Conceptualizing an element, they can add that element's damage type to their attacks, and change the properties of spells such as Aspected Spark and Aspected Nova. With their knowledge, they are able to weave the very fabric of magic around their blade, granting them access to some extremely unique spells. With Light Weave and Dark Weave, Enchanter can provide supportive buffs to their allies. By using Mass Restitch, they can even spread their unique buffs or debuffs around in a large area.
Additionally, I've included a sneak peek at a new map in this screenshot. I'll be going into more detail on this one next week, so stay tuned! We've been hard at work preparing for a number of upcoming events, including AVCon 2024! Just like last year, you'll be able to find Crystal Horizons in the Indie Games Room, so please stop by to give the game a shot and provide us with some feedback! We're also getting closer to our Closed Beta Test, which we'll announce more details for as we finalize some remaining tasks.
