We're excited to share that HumanitZ is part of the Open World Survival Crafting Fest on Steam that celebrates games where you start with nothing and eventually end up with... well, maybe still nothing. Show off your survival skills starting May 27th to June 3rd!
Now is the perfect time to dive into HumanitZ as it will be 30% off for the duration of the event.

We need to talk about something important: The price of our game. After weeks of discussions, we've decided to lower the base cost. We're committed to being transparent and want to assure you that we have plans to compensate everyone who paid the current price.
WHY THE CHANGE?
Since our launch, we've realized the current price tag hasn't worked out. Many of you cited the high price for an Early Access game and the lower prices of similar games as reasons for refunds. So, starting the 3rd of June, we’re reducing the price with a special discount, and this will be the permanent base price after the discount ends.
OUR COMMITMENT
We still aim to develop a game worthy of the current price (as subjective as that may be). However, to fulfill our vision we need to make this price adjustment. We are committed to deliver the Contain experience we promised.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU
We understand that those who paid the initial price may feel disappointed. To show our gratitude, we're handing out an Exclusive Free DLC called "First Responders". This exclusive DLC will be automatically added to the accounts of the players who purchased the game until the 3rd of June. It's our way of saying thank you, and we will continue to expand this pack from time to time with even more goodies.
THE PATH FORWARD
This way, we can keep improving Contain, and you get some exclusive goodies for your support. Thank you for understanding and staying with us on this journey.
For more information and details or if you want to get in touch and speak with us please consider joining our Discord. We are online, and we mostly use Discord for instant, direct communications.
Sometimes may be good, sometimes may be bad. Unfortunately, not much new functionality was brought in this update. There are many more bug fixes - because we love you, our players, and would like to make your experience with the game as smooth as possible, despite having a custom engine and a purely enthusiastic team! Also, we are starting work on missions reloading and various extra conditions to implement true-spirited old-school economics strategy campaign.
Changes include:
Bugfix of dying elfs targeted lantern
Bugfix for save/load
Elfs no longer prevent wheat seeding
Wheat seeding now has available places highllight
Fix for Initial setting of Great Tree too close to other items on map
Don't loose yourself in the fog and have fun with the demo!
We've spent this week working on visual updates! We're trying to spice up the look of the game to make it more appealing and clear for players.
Here's what we did:
Color Correction
This week we dived into the wild world of Colors in an effort to make the game more appealing to look at and easier to play.
Here's the before/after of these changes on our character select screen.

We're really happy with our efforts, and we're hoping it will make the game more enjoyable for you all :)
Decorations
We also spent a good chunk of this week working on some extra decorations for the backgrounds of each scene. While most of this isn't yet ready to share, here's a sneak peak of the new clouds and wind particles we've added to the level select screen:
We've also reworked the fire particles to make them match the game's cartoony style a bit more:
That's all we've got to show for now, but stay tuned for next week's devlog!

- Added Survival Mode. Score decreases over time, when it reaches 0, game over. - Added outline to minimap that scales with your view to assist in finding unfinished cells on your screen. - Added some optimization to the "flood opening" of '0' cells process to reduce memory usage. - Added default sleep timer setting to automatically start a sleep timer in infinite modes. - Added a reminder of the chunk goal number when playing Blitz Mode to pause menu. - Added a check on load to ensure all stat based achievements are unlocked correctly. - Added some color changing UI to show when numbers are changed. ie Opening a mine flashes score to red to show penalty.
- Fixed exploded mine count in worlds was not saving. First load of a world should correctly count existing mines.
