The eternal peace of the mountain gods will be broken by humans, who swarm endlessly, with their own agendas to dig up mountains, plunder resources, and build bases. A story of hubris or piety or determination or hesitation, witnessed by you from July 13, 2024. We recommend that you use the power of the cave to destroy all objectionable people and things, and also suggest that you pretend to be one of them to meet the objectionable people and things. But don't save money! Never heard of God being short of money. And don't try to attack businessmen! According to the ancient sacred covenant, you can't hurt a merchant who is the descendant of a devout believer, but it doesn't matter if he's not. And you can't hurt rabbits. We're still working on the hunting feature. ... Unless individual rabbits are willing to attack.

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks Open Beta - Vintage
OI YOU'Z SPEED FREEKS
To continue improving the server performance we'll be running another a short maintenance to restart the servers. During this time games in session will be interrupted (potentially mid-game) and you will have to start a new session. It's recommended that you restart your game once server access is interrupted to ensure that you are connecting to the fresh servers. Apologies for the disruption.
On behalf of Caged Element and PLAION, thanks for joinin' da Kult of Speed in Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks!

The Leaderboard display calls have been fixed (not so much a bug as a 'typo'). The original error resulted in the total time being incorrectly displayed both in-game and on Steam. This has now been fixed, but the leaderboards had to be wiped to remove the erroneous entries.
Your individual level times and scores are unaffected - they are stored separately from the overall display.
To add your times back to the global leaderboards you simply need to launch the game, and the overall values will be recalculated and updated for correct display. Speaking of display, times are now shown as 'hrs : mins : secs . millisecs', instead of just seconds, as was the case before.
If your score does not automatically appear on the leaderboard (and you've finished the game, so it should be there), try toggling the 'Highest Scores' / 'Fastest Times' switch. This will force an update and everything should be good to go.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but it was an important point.
Additional Improvements:
The camera tracking has been reworked, and smoothed considerably. Movement is now less jarring.
The Lighting has undergone a bit of a 'tweak'. Not hugely noticeable, but still an improvement.
A few general performance issues addressed.
Removal of the Demo
PLOT! has been out for a few weeks now, and the demo was intended purely as a pre-release feature. So I've taken the decision to remove the demo. Sorry to the people that this impacts.
If you have any issues or questions regarding this update please let me know.
In this update, we have added the ability to build shrines on the territory of your dominion. These shrines grant temporary effects with global bonuses. Pilgrimage access will be available to all players with permissions for production buildings (furnace icon in the town hall settings). We have also added research content, events, and new side quests to the starting island to showcase the game's features at later stages of character development. Items from events for beginners will also be obtainable on the main continent through fishing, discoveries, corpses, and completing crypts.
The newly developed mechanics will allow us to add events, points of interest, and puzzles in future game updates. Thank you very much for your activity, feedback, and support. Thanks to you, the game gets better with every update!
