Fixed Yui bugs related to her animation and her one shot killing player when she kick player in the back. Fixed shrine demon voice keeps repeating too much and now he would talk only when the new information is needed for player. Added option to mod player model, changes his voice lines and his animations. Added option to parent mods into existing mods meaning you can now bundle mods together into character mod.
The game is now available in the German language. It was translated by Yustin Ogrodowski.
Linux support to Steam
The Steam version of New Supper Banana! finally has native Linux support. (The itchio version already had it.) The game worked perfectly using Steam Play (proton), but a well supported native version is always better. For example, the game opens faster.
New hat in the Hat DLC
To celebrate the launch of the Linux version, a new penguin hat was added to the Hat DLC. Now your dreams of playing as a banana who has a penguin hat will be fulfilled.
(Unfortunately the DLC doesn't seem to work on the Linux version. Will try to fix it soon.)

Hello everyone! We'd like to acknowledge that we looked at the feedback on the Chinese translation, and, unfortunately, it turns out that the contractor we hired for this didn't do the best job, and we're currently in the process of remaking the translation to provide our Chinese fans with a better experience. If you'd like to participate in the translation process, feel free to reach out through our Discord server. We'll also fix a few minor bugs we found alongside the language patch.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and letting us know what to improve! You're helping us to make games better.
Campaigns need people, and seats are a new, optional way to bring those people into your adventures.
Before now, everyone who wanted to join a campaign needed to buy their own copy of TaleSpire. We heard from your feedback, especially those of you running many campaigns, that this wasn’t always feasible for your players.
Now, anyone with a full copy of TaleSpire has the ability to purchase additional seats for guests to use. Your guests then use TaleSpire - Guest Edition, which is free to download from Steam, and they are ready to go!
All features (including modding) are available to guests. The only limitations guests experience are not being able to create their own campaigns or buy seats themselves.
Q: Can we still get full copies of TaleSpire as we did before?
A: Absolutely, that is not going away. This is an addition, not a replacement, and if you don’t need seats, you can safely ignore this whole announcement!
Q: My party and I already have TaleSpire. How does this affect me?
A: Not at all; nothing is changing. The Seats feature is just a new tool to help some folks bring in their players.
Q: Doesn’t this mean the GM has to buy seats for everyone?
A: Mercifully, no. Anyone with a full copy of TaleSpire can own seats, and they bring those seats to any campaign they are in.
Q: I run five campaigns, each with four players. Do I seriously need to buy twenty seats?!
A: Definitely not! Your seats are infinitely reusable across campaigns. They move with you automatically. That means that four seats would cover all twenty players. Remember also that you don’t need to be the one providing all the seats, anyone with the full game can bring a seat to the campaign.
Reporting issues
While this release doesn’t appear to be that big in the game itself, we have an unrelated but extensive upgrade to the backend landing today.
As always, if you find bugs or experience issues, please reach out to us at https://feedback.talespire.com . We also haunt the Discord server, and there are thousands of lovely folks there who are a wellspring of tips, tricks, and knowledge!
That’s enough rambling from us
We are happy to be providing a new option for getting people into TaleSpire. As with all things, it has its tradeoffs, but we hope this is handy for a good bunch of you.
With seats shipped, we are thrilled to be getting back into features and fixes and to keep driving towards the full release. We have a lot on the roadmap and we are going to deliver on all of it.
Until the next dev-log or patch, Happy adventuring!
We're excited to announce the addition of five brand-new achievements to enhance your gaming experience! Each achievement offers unique challenges and rewards, encouraging players to explore new aspects of the game and push their skills to the limit.
A quick reminder before the update: When using mods it's a good idea to back up your saves. If you are experiencing problems you can still switch to an older version of the game by going to your Steam library -> Right-click Necesse -> Properties -> Betas -> Select the version -> Close the window and you will see it downloading the old version. Note: Older versions may have trouble loading new version saves.
Hey everyone!
The next content update is here! This time we have prepared a trailer showcasing some of the major features and content. You can of course always check out the full patch notes below :)
Enjoy!
We're also excited to announce that the next content update will be the graphics overhaul! If you haven't checked out the teasers we have put out so far you can see them in the April devlog or the video below. We will of course tease more and set a specific date as we get closer.
Thank you for all the support and feedback! - Fair

Version 1.1.0 primarily brings Streamer Mode, along with a number of bug fixes. To those who have been excited to stream the game but wanted to wait for this update, thank you for your patience!
In addition to Streamer Mode, this update will also hide save file information from players. Early on in development, we thought we'd be doing more with the player-editable save files, but this never ended up being the case. Currently, it seems it only causes confusion and has caused some to softlock or screw up the game's sequencing by tampering with it excessively. We apologize for the confusing playthroughs some may have experienced as a result of the old system, and hopefully for those that did experience these sequencing bugs, playing through version 1.1.0 will result in the game's narrative making more sense.
Edit: For those who have old save data from Version 1.0.0: here is how to reimport your save data into Version 1.1.0:
Close the game, if it is open, then navigate to the game's file directory (same place where you solve most puzzles, accessible by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library and selecting "Manage > Browse local files")
Copy the old save file, which should still be in the game's local files as save.txt
Navigate to C:\Users\(Your PC's username)\AppData\LocalLow\Kipps in a Box\Free Will (this is a hidden directory: you can find it by pasting %appdata% into your Windows search bar)
Paste save.txt into the Free Will folder
Launch the game, and your old save data should be read.
Thank you Fury72888hshu for the comment--we'd forgotten to include this in the announcement prior.

More bug fixes will be pushed in future updates--our team is small, so we ask for your understanding as these things take time. With that said, thank you for reporting bugs through the bug form and in the discussion forum! And additional thanks for those who joined the Discord server to talk through the bugs they were having--we apologize for the inconvenience, especially for our EU/CAN players…!
New Feature: Streamer Mode
Streamer Mode can be enabled to ensure potentially sensitive player information, namely the player's PC name or Steam username, are not shown on screen while playing the game. An unskippable window will appear at the start of a new game asking if you would like to enable the mode or not. You can also toggle the setting on and off in the settings, though it largely does nothing once you've completed the first fight of the game.
Let us know if you stream the game! You can send us an email or @ us on Twitter/X. We've been checking out various streams ourselves, but as our team is small, we generally only get around to seeing your VODs… :)
Other Changes:
Updated the controls guide
Removed full-screen mode
Save files are now hidden to ensure players do not softlock themselves or trigger events out of order
Added a game factory reset button to the options menu
Added a button to the title screen that allows players to return to the basement, before the point where the game branches after completing an ending
Special Thanks are now listed properly
NPC names are now disallowed from being the player name
Added a message to confirm your game has been saved
Corrected the Game System’s dialogue boxes during Wendy's fight to show “SYSTEM MESSAGE” headers
Clickable UI buttons now respond to mouse hover
Future Plans:
More bug fixes will be pushed in smaller updates (1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc.), and we'll update you on when those drop. Our next big goal is Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese language support, with Traditional Chinese coming first (as the game director is fluent in it). These updates are targeting a summer release: as the release date becomes more certain, we will let you all know.
On behalf of the Kipps in a Box Team, thank you all for supporting Free Will! Our team is grateful for your support.
