New version up with fixes: - Some accessories can now be equipped properly - Phidias event at the Merchant's Guild + Quinn treehouse event don't overlap anymore - Morhold forest tree path pixed - Minor fixes
DLC news - Couples Quiz fixes including now you can say "I changed my mind" - Chamber of Bonds: escape room for couples, available for betatesting!
New build up today, because today is Monday and there's a new build every Monday. I promised a new NPC and he is here!
The biggest new feature is this guy, a new NPC named the Azothic. He dashes at you and slashes, then backflips back and away from you. He also does not wear a shirt.
The game's encounters have all been reworked to include this guy and have a more interesting progression of 8 enemy encounters.
Less interesting to you veteran players, the game also features an entirely new tutorial system. I've been putting a lot of work into it to make sure the game is understandable to new players.
All but one of the weapon-themed Equipment rewards grant you a new sword model now. Working on the last one, soon!
Of course, a ton of bug fixes. The biggest one is that only a few Prima rewards were showing up very often and Equipment rewards weren't showing up as often as intended. There should be much more variety in rewards now.
I thought I'd already had the game's UX and FTUE in order but I've made huge strides on it this week so hopefully I'll be able to get back to making actual new content soon 🙂 Upcoming features are:
This hotfix primarily serves to resolve an issue where items could be attached to your character's feet when trying to place them in certain inventory slots.
Special thanks to PhobosReloading and Jane 🌸 on our Discord for sending us their save files. We wouldn't be able to locate this bug if it weren't for them!
➡️ Changes
Removed government shop shut down trash spawning mechanic
🛠️ General Fixes
Fixed rare case where when an item's optimized state inside an inventory didn't destroy its save data properly which caused several bugs when trying to place an item in its slot and added a fallback to just drop the item on the ground if this still ever happens
Adjusted interactable colliders for Samurai Mask and Leyasoon's Mask to better match its visuals
Fixed typo in Abominable Apex Gem item description

Fantastic news everyone! We have today released a new content update for REMEDIUM via Steam Early Access! This thrilling new update completes the highly anticipated Act 2 of the game and packs in a wealth of new content to expand the world of REMEDIUM.
The new complete Act 2 update introduces two new locations—the Fort and Abbey—to the previously released Mine location. These locations contain a host of terrifying enemies and boss types for players to discover and engage in frantic twin-stick shooter action. You will also dive deeper into the storyline with the newly added intro cutscene, providing an engaging introduction to the world of REMEDIUM.
The Act 2 content update will also introduce new quality-of-life improvements, many of which were requested by the community already playing the Steam Early Access release. Some of these quality-of-life improvements include an updated and optimized transitioning system to seamlessly travel between game locations, a new upgrade to the save system so players can replay Act 1 or Act 2 (after starting it for the first time) at any time with their progress saved and with any weapons and upgrades already unlocked, additional balancing of battles to ensure a smooth combat experience, numerous UI and UX improvements and bug fixes and the engaging intro cutscene to set the scene of the carnage of Act 2 perfectly!
Following directly on from the devastating boss battle at the end of Act 1, REMEDIUM Act 2 opens a new chapter in the hunt for a cure to the Grey Plague and to your very survival in the world ravaged by hordes of mutants and chimeras. Armed only with their journal, players must navigate the snowy mountain paths and survive the onslaught of warring tribes of mutants spread across three village locations. In each new location, the blood thirsty mutants are protected by a terrifying and unique boss, who must be defeated in order to unveil the path to the cure for the disease and the survival of the remaining humans.
REMEDIUM Act 2 features:
Act 2 introduces three new locations with unique mutant types and terrifying bosses.
Discover the new Fort and Abbey locations as well as the Mines.
Continuation of the intriguing storyline of the hero’s deadly journey.
Players can craft new parts for their weapons (to further customise them and deal different types of damage) with the new reagents found in Act 2.

An improved upgrade system where players can now spend resources to become stronger.
Dash movement and Almalgams use have been split for greater accessibility.

It's only been 1 weekend and we have already hit overwhelmingly positive!
Thank you all so so much for playing the game, the response has definitely been overwhelming and positive for us too. We really never expected that such a small, silly, adventure would connect with so many people, so we are really grateful to all of you that have given Mr McQuacklin a chance!
Right now we're working hard to iron out any of the bugs you've found. We can tell people are excited for future adventures of Eugene, however, we really don't want to count our chickens before they have hatched so we're taking some time now to work out will come next, and we promise that we will come to you all with super cool announcements when we are ready!
