We've been hard as work on the game for a long while, and figured it was high time for an update, so here's our inaugural devlog! ːsteamhappyː
Lately, we've been focusing on the assets and systems around shelter.
Shelter is a big deal in Wildwood, and it doesn't come easy. In the early game, players will be lucky to find structures on the map that they can exploit as a meager abode, until they can scrape together enough resources for a proper shelter of their own.
Cabins come in a variety of shapes and sizes, as well as various states of disrepair.
Across the map there will be various derelict and abandoned structures for the player to discover and utilize. These will vary with locale and will reflect the culture and history of each region. We've been hard at work crafting assets for one such region of the game world, and wanted to show off an early sneak peak.
Not all structures are wholly uninhabited, so looting is not without risk.
The art for these are still very much in progress, but we hope you enjoyed a look!
