Hi all,

Back from the much needed break, feeling refreshed.
I know I said I'd be diving straight into a crew positioning overhaul, but I figured I'd give freeform a bit of attention first.
There were a few features which were basically finished and just needed a bit of wiring up.

This update is for the 0.2 alpha branch, so you'll need to opt-in to play it:


Attachable plate structures
You can now place editable plate structures on their own.
Able to be picked up, moved around, mirrored and duplicated, just like regular parts.
These can be placed on cannon barrels to allow you to build your own mantlets or oscillating turrets.


Fixes
  • Plate joint weld marks are now perfectly aligned.
  • Fixed a common crash when deleting faces on smoothed plate structures.
  • Fixed incorrect plate thickening causing unsightly triangles on smoothed plates.
  • Cannon bores no longer receive decals.
  • Rail and straight antennas are now able to be placed again.
  • Freeform extrude and merge no longer resets thickness on the affected faces.
  • Plate structures now correctly save and load isolated edges with no connected plates.
  • Extruding a single point now correctly connects the new point with the original point with an edge.
  • Plate structures no longer have interlocking plate textures on edges which aren't connected to another plate.
  • General stability improvements.

Changes
  • Freeform points are now drawn x2 smaller.
  • Reduced z-fighting/flickering on certain plate thickening cases.
  • The refocus hotkey now focuses on the centre of all selected freeform points/faces/edges, instead of on the origin of the structure.
  • Significantly reduced the download size of future updates.
  • You can now select face corners in freeform. This allows precise control over how thickening behaves.

  • Freeform fill can now be done with 2 points selected to form an edge between them.
  • Dropdowns now display up to 10 options at once.

Additions
  • Added addon plate structures.
  • Added duplicate action to duplicate all selected freeform geometry. (Shift+D by default)
  • Edges can now be marked as welded, allowing them to ignore the smoothing angle threshold.

Starting on the crew positioning overhaul once any issues with this update are fixed.

    1. Repair the problem of overlapping after turning pages in the calendar interface of the previous version.
    2. Fix the problem that the dock icon jumps for no reason in the previous version.
    3. Fix the problem that search cannot be clicked after displaying the Launchpad in the previous version.
    4. Fix the problem of not being able to input special symbols in the edit box of all previous versions.
    5. Add the function of selecting the first day of the week in the calendar interface, you can select Sunday or Monday in Preferences - Time.
    6. Myfinder Bluetooth and WiFi lists add the animation of refreshing the lists.
    7. Add the buttons of disconnect and delete device after clicking the connected Bluetooth device in myfinder, if it doesn't show disconnect, it means the device is unsupported.
    8. Repair all previous versions of dock after opening the minimized window to icon, the icon with minimized window can not be dragged.
    9. Adjust the global blur effect to medium quality rendering, all previous versions were low quality rendering in order to save space.
    10. Repair the flickering problem of the animation blur effect of the startup console after the current screen blur effect is turned on in the startup console.
    11. Optimize the display and hide animation when the current screen blur effect is on in the Launcher.
    12. Fix some interface translations
    13. Fix several issues that may cause crashes
    Additional instructions
    • Win10 2004 before some systems may have a crash after opening the dock icon reflection, and even the task manager can not end the process, you can open the config.ini file in the program installation directory, search for "enable_iconreflection=1", delete this line of text and save it after restarting the computer
    • Once the Trash is deleted, it can be re-added in the Add System icon
    • The window display animation is not perfect at present, if there are many problems, you can close or add exclusions to individual programs, it is known that the window will occasionally disappear after the window animation is displayed, and the window needs to be reactivated to display, the UWP program animation will be displayed twice, and some program windows may be clicked invalid after display, such as Task Manager and Notepad
    • After MyFinder hides the window with its own menu bar, if the program that hides the menu is displayed abnormally or unstable, please unhide the window menu bar

Wizard Combats first dedicated test deathmatch-server will launch today!
Every Player will join the same dedicated server to improve stability in gameplay.
The test phase (that only includes the deathmatch) will start in a few hours.
A dedicated Team Combat server is next to come. While the test phase is running,
no private hostings are possible. This will be enabled when both
(Deathmatch & Wizard Combat) servers are stable and ready to play. ːsteammockingː
