Goblin Camp - Gencee
While we wait for some bigger (and fiery) updates that will be out soon enough, here's another small patch to fix some bugs:

  • Gamepad/joystick input is now disabled by default. This caused uncontrollable panning of the map for some users. A checkbox has been added to settings to enable gamepad input.
  • Stopped goblins repeatedly storing items in stockpiles that were already stored in a stockpile
  • Goblins no longer repeatedly try to store items in full stockpiles
  • Weapon-crafter xp was listed twice for goblins, now correctly shows Warrior xp.
  • The word 'Unexplored' has been replaced with 'Forest-cover' to be consistent with other texts that refer to the same effect
  • Fixed an issue that prevented goblins from digging ditches if they had recently tilled a farm plot
  • Goblins no longer freeze if they get lost in the forest-cover while putting out a fire
  • Higher tier carpenter's shacks no longer accumulate a deep puddle of water in their doorway
  • Textfield cursor color change to be white so that it can be seen

WARNO’s launch out of Early Access is just around the corner. D-Day is 23rd of May!

We are very busy adding the finishing touches to WARNO, but we did encounter some hiccups along the way (see below, first thing). We can reveal that we have already started working on updating some of the next vehicle models and - of course - a release date patch (more details further below).

Let’s check things out.

WARNO Gold Delays

As many of you in the community have already (correctly) surmised, we are having some issues with WARNO’s Gold Steam page. This won’t affect WARNO’s launch this coming Thursday, May 23rd. However, there might be a high chance that the Gold page won’t be able to go live before release, or even on launch day. Yes, we know, for all of us, this is very far from ideal. This continued tussle to get the Gold Steam page online is the reason why this DevBlog was delayed last week.



But not to worry - flexibility is key on the battlefield. We are working on fixing this issue ASAP. Of course, while the page might be delayed, we stick to our promise. Early adopters WARNO (with ownership of our game in Early Access) will be able to update to the Gold version with a healthy discount.

From the whole Eugen team, our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. When we have more information, we’ll let you know first thing!

Some updates

With WARNO’s launch out of Early Access, expect a host of updates, bug fixes, and other improvements coming to the game. Such as?




  • Artillery rework with some notable changes, including:
    • Howitzers deal slightly more damage but will have a lowered Rate of Fire across the board.
    • Dispersion spread adjustments for mortars, howitzers, and MLRS units.
  • Updated tooltips, more straightforward UI text, new weapons, and other descriptions.
  • And much more …


Note: we will reset the Ranked play with WARNO’s official launch. One further unfortunate warning: due to the game’s launch, old saves and replays will be invalidated.

T-55 updates

So, the older-generation T-55 has received a facelift in the Eugen workshop. There will be better textures, updated modeling, new ejectable elements (for when the tank is hit or explodes) such as crates and even the turret, and a new dynamic top-mounted machine gun, etc. This update will have a direct effect not only on the examples fielded by the East Germans but also… the future Polish Army, which was a major user (and manufacturer) of the T-55.



EA Pack

We want to ensure everything regarding WARNO’s launch is clear to all players - veterans and new ones alike.

Available for all Early Access owners of WARNO, automatically and free, a special EA Pack. This DLC contains divisions added as a “thank you” for the community’s continued support during WARNO’s development. Instead of waiting until the game’s official launch to gift these free divisions, we decided to already give them to our players beforehand.

  • The EA Pack contains 5 “extra” divisions:
  • The ”Berlin” divisions: NATO’s Berlin Command and Warsaw Pact’s Berliner Gruppierung and 6-ya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Brigada.
  • Plus NATO’s U.S. 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized) and the Warsaw Pact’s Soviet 27-ya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya.



After WARNO’s official launch out of Early Access, this EA Pack will be made available as a DLC for $9.99 / 9,99€.

SD Guild New Tournaments

As Eugen, we wholeheartedly support our games’ community with these amazing initiatives. But please note, that the following tournaments are not organized by us.



With the launch of WARNO, the SD League is ready to push WARNO’s competitive scene to the next level. There are two major tournaments coming up in June and July.


WARNO League Super Tournament 1.0
This tournament will kick off 2 weeks after WARNO’s release on the 1st and 2nd of June. The format will be a 2-day Single Elimination Tournament filled with intense, fast-paced action. Sign-up info and rules can be found on this dedicated page.


WARNO League SEASON 1
This long-form tournament, based on the well-tested Steel Division 2 League, will be open to all players of any skill level. Up to 64 players will be put into 4 skill levels, allowing us to organize fair matches for everyone. No matter if you are newbie or a grizzled WARNO veteran, you can expect some good, fun games.


The League will be persistent with future Seasons, with top players being promoted (and those who are faring less well, relegated) similar to European football leagues. More information, including a sign-up form can be found here.

  1. Fixed the card misalignment issue when loading saves in dungeons.

We’ve released a patch to address the following issues:

1. Game Optimization: Resolved the issue causing frame drops after long hours of gameplay.

2. Nightmare Mode: Fixed the bug where the gate to the dragon boss was unintentionally unlocked.

3. Nightmare Mode: Disabled the shortcut to the faction leader, which fixed the issue allowing players to reach the faction leader without becoming hostile.

Hello!

We have a short update that includes localization for our Steam page. We are currently supporting Czech, English, Polish, French, Portuguese, German and Spanish language. Please note that we are using AI to translate text with our internal language knowledge so there might be some translation errors. If you find any, be sure to give us feedback and we will work on fixing any errors.

We are currently also working on a trailer which will be created after we finish work on our GUI. We are currently implementing the last UI elements and screens which include Multiplayer lobbies, leaderboard UI, and the racing minigame UI. All of these will be ready very soon and we are very happy with how they turned out!

After the trailer is done, the timeline will move very quickly and we want to publish a Steam build which will be version 1.0. We already have several content updates ready which we will be slowly pushing out as we release the game. The reason some of this content won't be in the release build is, that we want to test and polish all the content before we release it to you guys. Of course, you might find some bugs and errors but we will work on removing them as we want 100% your feedback on such a matter.
