๐Hello, it's Merlin's Attic from the Dorasyeoda development team.
We are writing to you today as a developer letter to give you an honest update on the development of the full release version and the state of the team.
On update timing and game completeness
First, we'd like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their patience and support.
Merlin's Attic is an indie game development team that started out as a college game club, and most of us were college students who had never made a game before. "Dorasyeoda" was the first challenge for the Merlin's Attic team and its members, so we tried our best to respond to the love and support we received.
However, during the long development process, some team members became unable to work as before due to their own circumstances and livelihoods, and others were unable to join the team. As a result, the process of recruiting new people and continuing the existing work took longer than expected, and the greed to quickly catch up with the lost time led to another decrease in completion.
Greed for our first game and inexperience in running a team led to this outcome, but even with these reasons aside, we sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the slow updates and the disappointment caused by the lack of completeness of the game.
On future development plans
Merlin's Attic never gives up, and we promise to get back to work and make it even better.
After the release of the Early Access version, we realized our inexperience and revisited "Dorasyeoda". We believe it's important to get our act together so that we don't disappoint you again, so we're currently in the process of thoroughly reviewing and revising our shaky foundation.
We apologize again for the delayed update. This is a result of our desire to make sure we don't make the same mistakes we've made in the past, and that better quality is far more important than slower. Please have faith in the Merlin's Attic team, who are working tirelessly, and we'll do our best to reward you with a better game.
We're working hard to demonstrate that commitment, especially with the next big update, which will include some major improvements. We'll continue to honor this promise and refine it as best we can so that we can show off a more complete and engaging game that we're a little more proud of.
As part of this effort, we'll be attending PlayX4 this May 23-26(in KOR) to collect and incorporate valuable feedback in person, so we can use it to make the game even better.

The first three scenarios have been completely redesigned and introduce the rules of the game seamlessly with new extensive tutorials. 1. First Scenario - basics of the game, including: - Presentation of the mechanics of mines that extract gold - Construction of turrets - Various types of fields for development

Implemented Steam cloud save After opening chests, the items will now spawn between the player and the portal.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed the issue where some characters were missing in Traditional Chinese language. Fixed the issue where East and West regions were inverted. Fixed the issue where the visual display of Permanent Immunity was missing at the bottom left. Fixed the issue where swapping Vel Armor with another relic and picking it up caused the player to lose HP. Fixed the issue allowing players to pick duplicate relics. Fixed the issue where slime/spider/hound animation froze after attacking player. Fixed the issue where chest assets were not loaded. Fixed the issue where Bloody Edge stack reset to zero when upgraded. Fixed the issue where Overkill Spear did not trigger the Overkill relic correctly. Fixed the issue where another final boss map didn't appear after completing the game. Fixed the issue causing enemies to always have immunity. Fixed the issue where Abyssal Dagger and Trinity Code could lead to incorrect chip cooldown. Fixed the issue where the Skull Tech Warlock's spawn totem would sometimes appear in the lava/poison tile. Fixed the issue where enemy kills with status effects were not being counted. Fixed the resolution responsiveness issue of the main menu. Fixed the scroll bar bug in the Moon World selection screen. Fixed the looping sound issue when holding the button in the core upgrade menu. Fixed the issue where player can duplicate relic when closing the swap item UI.
Localization Updates:
Updated Chinese localization. Updated Thai localization.
Balancing & Gameplay Changes:
Units will not inflict stun again for 3 turns after the initial stun. Updated the miniboss room (4 Kings) in TGA right wing. Rebalanced the relics drop rate. Adjusted the Zero Saber/Equilibrium to have a maximum stack of 10. Adjusted HP calculations to reflect percentage changes when max HP is altered.
Fork (normal): When activating Overkillโ you have a 25% chance to apply 1 Shield to self. Fork (enhanced): When activating Overkillโ you have a 50% chance to apply 1 Shield to self.
Basher (enhanced): When attacking a Stunned enemyโ you deal +200% bonus damage. When attacking the enemyโ you have a 10% chance to apply 2 Stun to the enemy.
Red Piggy Bank (normal): You gain base DMG corresponding to 2% of your gold. (Max: 15 base DMG) Red Piggy Bank (enhanced): You gain base DMG corresponding to 5% of your gold. (Max: 15 base DMG)
Poison: At the end of the turnโ deal DMG equal to 10% of max HP; against bossesโ deal DMG equal to 5% of their max HP. (Ignore Shield)
Shield: Block DMG 1 time per stack. Stack will not decrease at the end of turn. (Max: 10 stacks)
Typo:
Green Piggy Bank (enhanced): You gain max HP corresponding to 10% of your highest gold. (Max: 100 max HP)
Hey folks, it's been great to see people picking up the full game and having fun with it, I've spent most of the last two days watching Hexahedra streams on Twitch!
Inevitably, once lots of you were playing it some bugs came to light that I'd missed, so this is just a quick update to deal with a couple of the more serious issues.
Stopping the factory at just the right (or rather, wrong) moment no longer leaves rogue panels inside Panel Storers. They were purely visual and won't have messed up any solutions, but they were confusing!
The Help menu in the factory now works again - the videos show up as expected, and you won't experience a performance drop if you repeatedly click the options.
Completing Interstellar Relocation (level 26) no longer shows the Demo Complete screen. But I still think you should be congratulated for shipping so many cubes, so well done if you saw that!
Also fixed a few small typos in the story and tutorials.
I also realized I didn't post any patch notes when the game went live, for those of you who've been playing the demo or the playtest for a while. Here's what changed, apart from the last few levels and narrative going in:

The camera panning is a bit more generous on larger levels, so you can pan further to the side when zoomed out. The boundaries on where you can place command track windows also lines up better with the size of the factories when they get large.
Skipping through the narrative now won't leave some transitions in an odd state. Lots of other changes to the narrative system went in to make the later stages of the narrative possible. Some of the existing story sections have been tweaked a bit.
The story for the first Inspector level now flags up that they're optional, and they're now always visible on the level select menu.
The last couple of missing video tutorials are now in. I've since realized that they didn't make it into the Help menu, I'll sort that out.
Fixed a bug where attempting to rename the solution to an Exported level (i.e. one you've made yourself in the puzzle editor) wouldn't save.
Tooltips are now suppressed when you're dragging a device or command.
I changed some of the random seeds for later levels. If you rerun your solutions you may find the Steps metric has changed. I reset the stats for the later levels, so the histograms will show correct data for the new seeds.
