Cube Chaos - Wunarg
Patch overview:
-2 new Options and 2 new Cheats
-Consumable Animation
-Various changes to boon generation
-Signficant Performance improvements, especially regarding freezes

-5 Description improvements, 41 Spelling mistakes
-So so many fixes (roughly 28)

As usual a minor update to fix and adjust some of the stuff between the more content focused updates at the start of the month, some explanations below. Hope you all enjoy!








Boon generation changes:
-There can only be 1 Terrain, this terrain costs 0 boon value.
-Neutral perks with 0 value also cost 0 boon value
-Guarantees a number of cubes (exact formular: (Total Boon Value/4 + 1) with at max 4)
--These guaranteed cube choices no longer take up the usual boon slots.
--This means more boons, but I adjusted the formular for that a bit so it ONLY means more boons until roughly nightmare 120
-Not having access to more cubes, especially during the first battle was very high variance and made the early battles far too random and risky. This should help, though may not be enough. I'll have to see.

Performance improvements:
-Mostly a change to how quickly the game recovers when reaching a truly game breaking state which freezes the game. These makes it much less likely that the game fully crashes, though this can still occur at even more rediculous chains.

Saikyo Robots - Missing The Moon
Ok, not everything is new BUT since the last update in February I added a lot! So why were there no updates until now? Let me explain!

Sometimes adding something to a video game is like a Lego piece. I choose the piece. I put it on some. Done.
Sometimes it's like adding to a house of cards. When adding one piece I need to add another one at the same time. This update was a lot like that. One update lead to another to another. So this is like five updates in one.

Actually this update is so big, I will only give an overview of all the things I did or this will be waaaay too long. The next DevLogs will go into more detail.


Levels
I started out by creating new levels. When I needed more content for them I worked on...


Sanctums

I added places to each level that ask you to sacrifice your robots. As a reward, they give you upgrades, resources, or new powerful abilities. These took really long to make! Not only did I need to make them and the rewards they give you, I also needed to balance them for every level. I worked on the levels, then sanctums, levels... rinse and repeat. During that I also worked on...

Upgrades
With the changes above the balance of the game kept changing. That lead to changes with the upgrades. If possible I left them until everything else was done.

At that point I got to make the non basic ugrades. Basic upgrades give you more health, damage and so on. The other ones change the game in a more interesting way. Like "Every 5th shot stuns the target for 3 seconds" or "when a gate is destroyed, the other gates become invincible for 6 seconds". I made quite a few of them which was a lot of fun but also a lot of work. There is a reason basic upgrades are so common in games.


Invasion
The default win condition is to survive for a certain number of days. I created a few levels with a huge final wave that makes it almost impossible to survive. But they give you the choice to "escape." A special area has lets you charge up a teleporter. While you do that, enemies will constantly spawn around you, making it no easy task!


I did more but those things are not "big" enough to make it to this list. For instance I won't mention how I created a new enemy, how I worked over the other enemies, how I updated the gate destruction logic the combat logic, how I added a bit of dialogue, how there are now abilities or how I made a brand new level with an easy invasion and a simple sanctum and and and lots of new things!

Hi everyone, in this patch we have did some changes/fixes and some cards balance

Changes:

  • Removed Taunt visual effect when attacked from an in front of creature
  • Clarified better Time Reversal ability description: You play an extra turn (As long as this Spell is in your hand, each time you draw a card from your deck you reduce the cost of this Spell by 1)

Balance:

Nature's Redemption: Increased minimum cards required in hand from 1 to 2

Time reversal: Cost 20

Herriot, King of Men:
Reduced from 3 to 1 General condition
Reduced from 5 to 3 Soldiers condition

Imperial Seal:
Cost: 3
Max Copy: 3

Magic Emperor:
20/50, Magic Assault 20, Armor 10, Immunity, Guard, Charge, Vanish

Kreg, King of Beasts: maximum cards condition now include also dead creatures

Fixes:

  • Fixed Tutorial cards
  • Fixed Immunity that not prevent destruction from Mortal Touch ability
  • Fixed card visibility during summoning
  • Fixed Divine Path status description issue on Hero details window on "Status" tab
  • Fixed Time Reversal cost reducing. Now effect is applied only if draw happens from your deck
  • Fixed wrong cards ability update when a card return back to hand from battlefield
  • Fixed Unstable Genes does not work if play more than 1 while another one is active
  • Fixed various translations
