How are you? We hope you are enjoying the updates that have been released so far, and it’s all thanks to the insightful feedback from all of you. As we continue to improve your gaming experience, we are excited to share that we have rolled out another patch that includes even more game balancing improvements.
Without further ado, let's dive into it!
New Content
Added a new item for adding specific characters to the team: Wish Compasses. When more than three characters are unlocked, a dedicated Wish Compass shelf will appear in the shop. Wish Compass: When used, it can create a recruitment node, allowing you to encounter a character that has been unlocked but not yet met in the current run. If the player does not wish to change the team configuration, they can also use the Wish Compass to generate a treasure node.
Added a special status display feature. Now, when a unit has an Ambush Mark or 5 stacks of Burning, special icons will appear on the status bar above their heads.
Optimizations
Adjusted the warning number style on the monster skill aim lines.
The recovery value formula in the description of Thriving is now displayed.
The value formula in the description of Tough Pelt is now displayed.
The enhancement values in the description of the trait Empowered Beast are now displayed.
Removed the attribute recommendation conditions for the abnormality Motivator.
Changed the status type of the Reflection buff to a debuff.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the skill Group Charge could not perform attacks.
Fixed an issue where the health of the phantoms summoned by Transcendent Voyager was too high in hard mode.
Fixed the incorrect sorting of abnormality slot unlocks for Soma in the character selection interface.
Corrected the trigger effect of the trait Flanking Master.
Fixed some UI display issues.
We trust that these updates will enhance your gameplay, and we will continue to work hard. Keep an eye out for more updates, and please, if you run into any issue or have other feedback for us, feel free to contact us here on Steam or through our Discord channel.
Hello, dungeon builders! It’s been a while since our last update, but we’ve been hard at work adding new features and improvements. Here’s a glimpse at what we’ve been up to:
Hero Groups
We’ve introduced the ability for your visitors to form parties and take on mightier monsters together! Grouping is a crucial tool for heroes to defeat high-level monsters and bosses. After all, what good is a cool skeleton boss if no one can ever defeat it?
Setting up hero groups is straightforward: simply research “Grouping Tables.” These tables serve as meeting points where heroes can rest, bond, and possibly form new parties.
With this new mechanic, dungeon building becomes even more dynamic. Consider researching tavern props and building a tavern inside your dungeon for that extra touch!
Energy System
Heroes now have energy meters that deplete with each action they take. Exhausted heroes will prioritize exiting your dungeon. To counter this, you can construct camping spots and energy potion dispensers to help heroes recharge.
New Research Perks
We’re expanding our research atlas with new perks that add depth and strategy to gameplay. Here’s a preview of some perks we’ve implemented:
Boss Door: Unlocks a door only openable by a party. Elite Monsters: Increases the chance of spawning an elite version of a monster. Smithing Station: Adds a vendor where heroes can enhance their abilities permanently.
Queue System
Visitors now exhibit more polite behavior. If they notice an object is in use, they’ll queue up to wait their turn.
Legendary Heroes
Designed as end-game content, legendary heroes bring unique challenges and exceptional rewards. These special visitors will evaluate your dungeon’s standards before they visit. Meeting their high expectations will earn you substantial rewards, including unique buildable objects with magical properties.
Stay tuned for more updates! - Dungeon Tycoon dev team.
We've had some feedback on our demo and have implemented some changes!
Gameplay: - reimplemented the mouse and touch controls - HP and MP restores after each battle - increased the encounter rate of random battles
Audio and Visual: - new menu screen - changed the text scroll sound so it's let obtrusive - fixed some spelling errors - lowered the brightness of portraits of non-talking characters to make it easier to spot who is actually speaking.
Other news: The game is on track to release after NextFest wraps up! NextFest is taking place 11-18 June 2024 and Peaches and Dreams will be taking part. Once NextFest is over, we will release the game for free in early July, with an optional DLC soundtrack.
We hope you enjoy this update! As usual if you have any feedback, please contact us on twitter @madspacestudios or instagram @madspacestudios.
The demo of the recasted version of Drifter’s Tales is now set: May, 29th.
What will you find on the demo?
All the features we planned to include in the final game will be implemented. Compared to the prologue, you will find:
The tutorial, 5 stories to play, along with the choice of the stories
Random origins (Architect, Healer, Priest, and Blacksmith) at the start of the game with their own storylines
The alchemy, allowing you to modify your player card stats
The storyteller, to unlock more rares and powerful cards
The Doubt, which change how the battles will occur with random events
The options, save system, collection in the title screen
Please note that your progress in the demo will still be available in the final game.
How to play to this demo?
The demo will be available on Steam. Steam does not allow us to release the demo officially (as the demo won’t reflect the game we are selling - it can be taken as a false advertising), so you will be able to grab some keys on our website.
What’s next?
The final game date is still set later this year. We are polishing now the overall game, and will take all your feedbacks from the demo. Though, the demo will still be updated until the final release.
