After pixel pitch, watching Asmongold and the juges play made me realize the starting area felt a little empty, and the animation could use some love.

I added 200 new playtesters, if you have the chance to play, let me know how it went, it helps me improve the game!

I'm also adding a new public server, this will allow me to see people playing directly and test how chaotic it can get!

New:
  • Added a public server! Check the public server tabs to see all public servers. (note that the experince in a public server can be degraded as anyone can destroy your buildings)
  • Added a permanent light on your character that only activates when you are in dark areas (dense forest etc...)
  • A chat bubble now pops up when you type in game. The chat icon also adapt to the chat content to an extend.


Changes:
  • Increased the trees density in the starting area (x2)
  • Added a yellow highlight for the tutorials UI
  • Changed the crafting UI background to transparent
  • The run animation without weapons has been changed.
  • Added a missing jump start animation.

Bugs
  • Fixed a bug with slimes where they would not properly synchronize their height.
  • Environmental damage sources will no longer be shown as "fall damage" in death recap
  • Fixed a bug with global entities (giant golem, giant snake) where they would not be properly synchronized when the player would be too far.
  • The npc update loop no longer blocks the main thread, an other source of freezes that was removed.

Optimization
-Adjust upper limit for obtaining rare relics from 1 to 2
Even if rare relics are powerful, sometimes a random one may not be suitable for current team. So I think it might be better to have another chance to choose. In addition, it's also a chance to achieve stronger synergy by combining 2 rare relics.

-Add unlocked relic info in game record UI

-Solve the problem that [Loyalty Medal] triggers [Rush To Rescue] loop
2 units both with ability Rush To Rescue and rare relic Loyalty Medal, can trigger rush to rescue repeatly. That make those 2 units will never be defeated.

-[Magic Relaxer] adds description that it does not take effect on [Ease]

-[Archer Tower] renames [Shooting Platform], and [Extreme Maneuver] will not add [Fatigue] on it

Event
We'll participate in the Steam Endless Replayability Fest which is from May 14th to May 21st. There will be good discounts during the event. You can buy it then (although it is not expensive now).

UBERSLAUGHTER - Gooch Sniffer Gary
This one is a bit heftier, a few changes that I hope I have implemented correctly. I have tested them but you never know...

-Fixed the money in the billions going negative from the stock market
-Lava tubes map has increased number of pickup locations (the hp, ammo, testosterone pickups)
-Small arena map with the statues now has its lava dealing way less damage, so you don't get one-shot if you drop into it
-Every enemy should now give testosterone. Testosterone gained is still based on distance to the enemy, keep in mind
-Reroll button for leveling now has a different sound playing when the player doesn't have enough money to afford it
-Stock market values now stabilized 5 times faster than before. It is still possible to abuse the stock market, it just needs a lot more commitment, only true sigma males will achieve such financial gains now
-Added a slider for max active enemies in the in-game setting menu. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AS IT CAN CAUSE PERFORMANCE ISSUES WHEN SETTING IT TO HIGH VALUE!
-Every enemy now scales (some didn't previously) based on round number. They also scale much faster than previously, and there are less total enemies generated per round so rounds should go faster
-Brutus and redacted guns now both scale with weapon damage level-up, they didn't before
-Big Baz now has scaling too!
-Fixed minigun spin sound playing when reloading
-The original (shotgun) upgraded variant sucked, as it didnt scale on-hit like its original counterpart. Therefore I have made the green mega shotty have one upgraded variant, and the original now has no upgraded variants. This is just for now, as I'm brainstorming what I want the upgraded variant for The Original shotgun to be.


//NEW MECHANIC//

For you guys who immediately went for the turbo-oligarch grindset (you know who you are), stacking share prices of millions and up, I have added a counter mechanic. I won't spoil too much what it is, but let's just say you would be finding out what the IRS looks like in UBERSLAUGHTER if you turbo-abuse the stock market...


I have a few more fixes coming up either later today or tomorrow.

The game is scheduled to launch in about two hours at midnight on May 13th, Korean Standard Time.
The release button has not yet been activated, causing a delay in the launch. The game is expected to be released within today, May 13th.

Currently, there are issues with data resetting, as some information is not deleted when either directly removing the game from your Steam library or deleting data files from the local folder. Please be cautious when attempting to reset the game.

In upcoming updates, we plan to prioritize the creation of a feature to delete all data in the 'Settings' menu.

Additionally, following a data reset, it is anticipated that the in-game scripts may be affected, and as a result, the game will be programmed to force quit.

Major Content Update--Patch 1.2.2

This update is much needed, and I am not sure why it never got done sooner? But here it is! Anyhow..

The Update introduces 8 New Tutorials to enhance the new player experience. Town has been redesigned because of this addition.

Updated every RogueStone obtained Skill for better readability and ease of use when it comes to Scaling your Damage Type. The New System makes it easier to understand How to Scale Damage.

Reduced Block skill from Golem to only prevent the first 2 hits rather than 3 to balance overblocking.

The Portal Keeper now stocks Orbs that are keys to access the Worlds at a reasonable cost. 5000 GP.

Orbs now have a value of 2500 GP when Sold to a Vendor and can still be obtained Free by dropping them in the Campaign.

Looking at the changes, time has been spent on making the game more accessible and user friendly, more changes like this if i can spot what needs done will happen eventually.

There seems to be an issue with players not being able to enter Worlds, with the new changes to the Portal Keepers inventory stock now having Orbs which allow you to purchase a way into a World, as an investment opportunity in the game since Worlds is where most of the GP gains happens, although maybe not anymore since higher areas of the Campaign drop Orbs reliably so that could be a method to acquire more GP for LootBoxes and other items you will want in your Quest. Orbs now have a value of 2500 GP and dropping your first Orb in the Campaign i think is pretty exciting since there's alot of useful things you can do with 2500 GP because of the many Vendors in Town.

The lighting system is now working like it is was always intended along with the the camera system. This mainly results in it looking better, supporting more lights, and being more stable. Along with that we have some additional bug fixes following the major release last week.

Changes
  • The lighting system upgraded, can handle more lights (performance options) and lights look better including not oversaturating player
  • The camera system was upgraded, utilizing a more modern approach to game camera, better performance
  • Avatar Change - Human Avatars 1 and 2 were using the wrong image and have been fixed
  • Seeds will now always be used when planted
  • Easier skills (mixing, planting, other) were made easier
  • Graphic artifacts (players, items) being left on screen but aren’t there shouldn’t happen anymore
