Biomes & Locations
The ship

Windswept Plains
Windswept plains is home to the Xi’Kai and other aviatory creatures and great plateaus. A Sky City of the ancients once resided here, but it has since moved south to the Razor Mountains on the back of an ancient storm being. The Corruption has affected this region the most, causing the Xi'Kai to migrate west to the Fungle Forests for refuge with the Umar. Many other forms of life in this biome are struggling to adapt as their food source dwindles. Some creatures venture into the Radiation Wastes for food but few return and those who do are sick and in need of aid.
The Fungal Forest
The Fungal Forest is filled with towering fluorescent plants, glowing ichor, and dust from the mushroom trees. However, please keep in mind that the forest should also have poisonous creatures, making it dangerous for players to navigate. The Umar are the primary inhabitants of the forest, and they rely on their small size and stealth to defend their territory. The Xi’Kai from the Windswept plains are seeking refuge from the corruption here, which may lead to negotiations between them and the Umar. Please ensure that the design incorporates the themes of enjoyment, safety, sociability, family structure, and community.
Caves
Not much is known how these dense crystalline caves were formed. Some say the Law Binder was angry and carved out her jagged furry deep into the earth leaving behind a network of beautiful, jutting, crystal shards coating every inch. Some say it was a foreign sentient meteor that crashed into this earth forming deep caves before it died.. If at all. Many who travel here are never seen again. Like a Fun house full of mirrors, travelers can easily get lost and turned around in a matter of minutes. What's worse is the crystal seems to move and change. None are quite sure if it's the actual crystals or the cryline spiders that spin their crystal webbing to form more. Be extra careful of those creatures. Or you’ll end up trapped as an added crystal to this maze.
Razor Mountains
Long ago this place was once a beautiful lush landscape. Now a jagged rocky dessert. Not much was left behind to give us answers to who, how, or why? But we have some possible hints. One was this land changed during the Great Scourge. Legend says The Shepherd slammed his staff and uprooted this valley entirely. Others link it to the Great Storm itself. A very ancient creature that roams this land. Either could be likely possibilities. The great storm, doom cloud, Realm Devourer. All fitting names for this odd tech storm. Moving about the desert unchallenged. Its miles long and generates enough electricity to power new york for 100 years. It leaves only ruin in its path. At the beginning of the age of the narcalids most in this region were nomadic and ran from the storm.
Core
A great fissure is opened in the center of this desolate landscape. This has caused the land around to decay and die. No one has been able to stop it. And the planet is slowly dying because of it. Legend says the shepherd and the Orderbearer caused this destruction to happen out of anger towards their children. So great was the devastation that it began a new age for the planet, called The Scourge. Some say the Children of The Makers did this. Mining so far beneath the ground stripping resources that they inadvertently awoken some powerful being. Others claim it was a weapon of war gone wrong. Whatever the case its here now and as the legend goes. One must find the Makers Tear and heal this land.
Base Area
Your safe place to explore collectibles, talk to other NPCs, and much more! There is also a dedicated spot to meditate and stay in tune with Narcalid enlightenments.

Hi, everyone. Welcome to another week's developer's diary.
According to very recent history. Every May, there is a very special festival celebrated by people globally. In such a festival, people will kill at a lot of things, chant BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULL FOR THE SKULL THRONE! And get a lot of Warhammer game discounts. Right, that's the Skull Festival. Even though you can never find anything in our game that is directly from the Warhammer universe because of legal reasons, Una just uploaded her Khrone faith mod to the Steam Workshop so that we can also have some fun. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3241823590 Something unique about this mod is that in addition to adding a new faith of Khrone worship to the game, the Mod also changed the configuration of the Blood Gods array so that you may even see certain enemies worship Khrone in the game after activating the mod. Combined with the human-pet feature from last week, maybe you can enslave a group of Khrone Berserker at your service if you are lucky.
That's about a new Mod. Now, let's see what content has been added to the game itself. There are of course other bloodthirsty gods and goddesses out there. So, I picked a few of them to add to the game. Not all bloodlust divines are male, we can certainly have a goddess that equally brings wars, violence, and destruction. But, I am not that much of a politically correct person. A much more important reason to Add Enyo to the game is, that she is also known as the "Destroyer of Cities and Civilizations." Pretty much like what those Bandit Berserkers want to do. In the game, the faith has bonus damages against machines and constructions to reflect such aspects of Enyo. As we have those berserkers in the game, we certainly must have the origin of the concept of "Berserkers." Thus, we also got the Norse Paganism faith which empowers "Berserk Attack" down to a raw power level. Those new blood gods and goddesses shall make berserker enemies become more diverse. They are no longer all Kong's followers, they now have a much wider range of possible faiths. Unlike the relatively gentler Kong faith, all those new faiths added this week can directly pray to gain attack power instead of praying for healing or cleansing. Their main devotion generation mechanisms are from killing instead of praying or doing good deeds such as helping an old lady cross the road. They also do not care where the blood comes from as long as it flows. Thus, when you need some emergency devotion points feel free to stab a teammate to death. :)
However, it's not just those who seem barbaric or even straight evil faith that allow their followers to show devotion to killing. It's time to show how bad-ass the force of good and order can be. After all, in very recent history, we also learned that only when good guys have bigger guns than bad guys, the bad guys will be deterred. Thus, a new organization known as the Eternal Staff has been added to the game. They follow a charismatic leader who is a veteran of supernatural wars since about 20 years ago. Yes, that's also related to what happened 20 years ago in real life. Something special to all those who have played this game for a long time. Yet, I'll not assume you know anything about him. Thus, his past will be retold just like the Dark Elf King. But, unlike the Dark Elf King, we human ages.
Their leader is not the only factor that makes them distinctive. Another definitive feature is this organization follows Christianity even in the capital of the Nise Federation where most populations follow the Samujier faith. Thus, they take a much more harsh stand against certain monsters. You can unlock some faith tenets like those during your interaction with them. You can finally customize your good faith into a military order to kill monsters to gain your devotion instead of a soup kitchen that gains devotion only by praying and helping the poor. Both of those new tenets can be applied to any Abrahamic faith, not just Christianity. Because on the matter of killing those monsters, there seems to be no significant difference no matter whether someone uses the words "God", "Hashem" or "Allāh" in their prayers while everyone says "Amen," "Āmīn ", or "Ameen" to conclude their prayers. To an extent, even those in the Samujier faith but consider Samujier to be Jesus can use those two new tenets. Maybe the names of those tenets need to be dynamically changed to better fit to the center belief. But, that will require another system to be implemented first. Thus, that will be a topic of another time.
More about the Eternal Staff organization: They may even consider the Samujier faith too weak against evil. With all those unique features while being a local organization inside the Nise Federation, they certainly gained the attention of externally powerful potential allies. Of course, their Latin must be legit, unlike a certain other organization that speaks plastic Latin.

Ritual Season Event The new season has its own activity with its new enemy type. Vampires are the new enemy type which are specific to the Ritual portal activity. The event pass of this season has completely new tasks from previous seasons. It also has 3 cosmetic rewards like always.
Booster Flags Booster Flags are new addition to the game. Some enemies drop this flag on death and the flags give player various stat boosts for 10 seconds. They have higher drop chance on campaign than endgame. You can see booster flag icon above the enemies health bar, if they are going to drop a flag.
Ranger -Ranger's attack speed is decreased from 1.1 to 0.9. -Ranger's arrow speed is decreased from 2000 to 1400. -Ranger's damage is decreased from 10 to 8.
Warrior -Warrior's attack speed is decreased from 1 to 0.8. -Warrior's critic chance is increased from 1 to 3. -Fixed the problem with power up of Warrior's Earthbreaker skill. -Warrior's Scatter passive projectiles now travel faster and scatter wider.
Mage -Mage's defence is decreased from 3 to 2. -Mage's attack speed is decreased from 1 to 0.8.
Assassin -Fixed the problem with Sting's area damage.
Outlaw -Outlaw's damage is increased from 6 to 7. -Outlaw's attack speed is increased from 0.6 to 0.7.
Lasher -Lasher's damage is increased from 8 to 10. -Lasher's movement speed is increased from 600 to 650. -Fixed the problem where Lasher's Whipstick relic didn't deal damage.
Enemies -Made improvements on enemy melee hit range. -Champion bosses now have increased health with each difficulty. -Champion bosses now drops 100 items instead of 50.
Game -The difficulty of base now only increases by 1 when you complete a difficulty higher than the base's. -High Stakes Shop only appears in maps when High Stakes activity appeared. I made an absolutely stupid mistake which explains at least half of the negative reviews.
Enemy health was calculated 80 * (0.2 * player count). Yeah, player count. So if 1000 people played at once, enemies had over 200 health more than they should. It's fixed now.
Also other changes:

Although a little late - I'm extremely proud to announce Hypersomnia is played at this year's PolyLAN event between 10-12th of May! The first tournament was held with 12 TEAMS of 2 competing in Hypersomnia for the first time ever in real life!
