Hooray! The manga "Welcome to the Karoshi Club" is now available for free download!
The manga author is Valerie Yogay, an old-school mangaka. This style is something you are going to absolutely love! We want to thank everyone who contributed to its development!
We are excited to share some inside information about Kenji Haishima, the Keneō Industry, and the afterlife world of Yomi.
How to read and access manga?
1. Add the DLC to your library and download the minor update.
I'm thrilled to announce that the text for Chapter 5 is not only finished but also fully scripted into the game (at least for me!)
I'm excited to be one step closer to sharing it with all of you.
While the text is pretty much done, as usual, there's still some polishing work ahead. The next steps involve thorough testing and tweaking. I'll also be adding the final touches like music, sound effects, and any missing choices.
If I failed to include a conversation choice you would really like, you can tell me after the chapter comes out. I could include it, unless it requires me to write a whole new game around it. ːlaughing_yetiː
Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement!
This patch restructures the design of Haven and the way it dictates the start of each run. In essence, you start inside the temple in Haven where you select and prepare for a new quest. You can only leave the temple when you have a quest, and once you have left you cannot return.
If you complete a quest successfully, you immediately gain a skill, and return to Haven to prepare for the next quest.
Gameplay Changes - You start each run inside the temple in Haven. - You can only leave the temple once you have accepted a quest. - After leaving the temple you cannot reenter. - The loremaster offers main quests. - The first lorekeeper offers side quests. - After you have accepted a quest you can still change your current quest by accepting another. - To switch between wayfarers you walk up to another wayfarer and interact with them. - When you accept a quest you no longer gain provisions, instead they automatically appear in the vault section of the temple. - Provisions are replenished between runs. - The legacy chest has been removed from the vault. Legacy items appear in the regular chests should you die. - You no longer gain skill points for performing a quest, instead at the end of a successful quest you can immediately pick a new skill. - The old prologue has been disabled for now. - Camping / not camping at minor settlements (farms, trading posts, etc.) has been made more consistent. - If a site is locked you are still able to find a camping spot ‘nearby’.
Before we dive in to your genius creations, we just wanted to make you aware that we've been working hard to improve your experience week by week and have made a significant number of alterations to the game! See the three hotfixes we've carried out since launch here - Hotfix #1, Hotfix #2, Hotfix #3.
Workshop Wonders #2
Now, on to the community! We're back once again with our second series of Workshop Wonders. This edition sees a plane made from a mis-match of garish parts that perfectly meld together to make a well oiled flying machine, and a hybrid boat-submarine that you really don't want to cross paths with (we'll give you a clue - duh dun, duh dun, duh dun!).
We've linked to the Workshop items below, so you can try them yourself right now! Thank you for submitting your incredible creations to the Workshop, we love taking them for a spin, so please don't stop uploading!
We’d like to share some important information about the upcoming changes in WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes.
As per our previous announcement, players who owned WARSAW in their libraries prior to August 23, 2023, will receive an update with a special launcher on May 20, 2024. This launcher allows those players to choose between playing WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes or the older version of the game, which was previously available on the “bootcamp” beta branch. At the same time, both available beta branches of WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes will be closed. This change affects the 'legacy_version' branch, which contains the older version of the game, and the 'bootcamp' branch, which was used for public testing for updates.
Achievements and save files:
Achievements on Steam are tied to the current version of WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes and not the older version of the game. Completing the campaign in the current version of WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes will be required to unlock all the achievements.
Save files from the 'legacy_version' branch will remain compatible with the older version of the game with one exception - if you saved the game during the tutorial, you will have to start over due to the changes introduced in the meantime.
Players who never purchased the previous version before the launch of WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes will continue to have access to the current version only. That means if you added WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes to your library after August 23, 2023, and started your playthrough of the older version of the game from either “bootcamp” or “legacy_branch”, you have until May 20, 2024 to complete it.
