Now, you might have noticed that the original racer got renamed to 'default' in the previous patch, and well, the reason for that is because the previous racer... although it did have a close resemblance to the Racer drone, its specifications were more akin to that of a combination between the freestyle/racer drone, but being true to the neither, and that makes it a pretty good default drone.

That is why we came up with the new drone that is 'true' to the Racer drone characteristics, it's fast and it's agile.

Lead 3d Artist Johann Gerard spent some time making this amazing animation from modeling the elements from Suzanne's concepts to animating them. “At each stage, I had to think about how to do things, and that's what was enjoyable to do. Additionally, this exercise combined a variety of techniques: using multiple UVs for texturing, scripting, and utilizing shape keys (morph targets).”

For example, there are around a hundred pieces in the animated board. Manually placing one bone on each piece (which allows it to move) would have taken me a lot of time. So, to speed up the process, Johann wrote a script that does it in just one click inside Blender.

Hey folks, end of the week does not mean an early weekend for us. So here is yet another hotfix with the most critical issues, check it out!




  • Fixed the issue where rafts not in water would be falsely flagged as flying.
  • Fixed the issue where equipping items directly from small vehicle storage would make them dissapear.
  • Fixed the issue where vehicles would fall under raid protection when inside flag area.
  • Fixed the issue where chests would not be raid protected if built before the flag was placed.
  • Fixed the issue where chests would increase active BB elements on restart.
  • Fixed the issue where chests placed on foundation could sometimes cause a server crash.

Known issues:
  • Quickly pulling chests out and in of car inventory could cause them to disappear. To minimize this issue, slowly take chests one by one out until properly fixed.
  • Chests show maximum 65kg weight while in containers. If the chest has more than 80kg, on take in hands action it will get stuck in the middle of the vehicle. To avoid this, put it on the floor first until properly fixed.
  • Sometimes chests that are put in vehicle inventory while being on foundations will break the foundations.

Hello, everyone. I am Kwon Dae Ho, the executive producer of Black Stigma.

As a follow-up to our last test, it's time to talk about Active Skills, which were the second most important factor after Shooting.

As we've shown in our testing, the Master Characters in Black Stigma have been developed with distinctive role positions. The four positions are as follows: 'Marksman', 'Striker', 'Infiltrator', and 'Disruptor'.

Over the past few months, our development direction has been 'It's a shooter game, let's make shooting more fun and less stressful,' and as a result, the shooting system has changed quite a bit, and the role position distinctions we have set up has become somewhat irrelevant.

This is why we're reorganizing the four position classifications to make them clearer and more representative of the actual combat in the game.




[h5] [ Four Positions ] [/h5]

'The Masters of Black Stigma are categorized into four position classifications.



This is an in-development version, and there may be changes to the Master character's skillset and subsequent changes to the position arrangements.

The old 'Marksman' position has become somewhat ambiguous due to changes in the shooting system over the past few updates, and we've replaced it with the 'Long-Ranger' (tentative name) position name, which is characterized by superior firepower at long distances. We expect these four role positions to move in the following general patterns.



'In today's developer's note, we're going to give you a brief overview of the direction we're taking for each of the positions we're currently planning.


[h5][ STRIKER ] [/h5]



'First, we set up TEN, PARABELLUM, NANO, and PAPER as Striker position.
They'll be the ones on the front lines, boldly charging forward and quickly taking out enemies in close quarter combat.

They will have the following attributes.

    1) Skill sets that consists of only strong melee Active Skills.2) A counter skill that neutralizes an enemy's melee Active Skill will be given
These four Masters received some minor skill balance adjustments to fit the redefined Striker position, especially for Nano, who was given a completely different style, we created a new skill and revamped it to serve as 'Striker Nano'.

    'Nano's Space Skill (Same as past Sliding Grab)Nano's E Skill (Hit with dagger swings to chain into grappling skill)Nano's Q Skill (New Nano-only Counter attack Skill)

In the Infiltrator position, we've placed TWIN, GRASPER, and the new Master, who is neither A.S. nor A.B., but the new Master will be a member of a third faction and will be one of the driving forces in the new story.

They specialize in quick movements and are tasked with ambushing enemies when and where they least expect it.

Members of this position will have the following attributes.

  • They will have a dash skill, which is useful in melee combat.


'The new Master, newly assigned to the Infiltrator position, is being prepared as a character who does Taekwondo. And will use fast movement speed and powerful kicking skills to subdue enemies.

    The new Master will quickly get in close with the Dash skill and unleash fierce aerial spin kicks'Taekwondo-based skills are being created with the help of 'BEST STUNT TEAM', aka the martial arts team for 'The Squid Game'.


[h5][ DISRUPTOR ] [/h5]



The Disruptor position currently includes ONE, and HAND, but we are planning to add another new Master. The new Master assigned to the Disruptor position will also be in a new storyline faction, similar to the previously announced new Master in the Infiltrator position.
They will use non-attack-type skills like Smoke/Flash to turn the tide of battle. These skills can be used offensively or defensively, depending on the Master.

    1) Non-attack-type Skill: Offensive Use exampleUtilize a flash bomb to block enemy sight2) Non-attack-type Skill: Defensive Use exampleThe scene in which the area of Hand's white phosphorus coal is being removed by Ms. One's new-coming purification-bomb skill before she enters.
'The newest member of the Disruptor position Master is a shield-wielding character that uses Combat Police skills. While they don't have the high-damage active skills of the Striker position, they are being developed to be able to take the lead and protect their allies with solid defensive skills.

    New character combat mechanics that can turn the tide of a fight with shield defense skills.Similar to TaeKwondo, we're working on a variety of shielding actions with the help of the 'BEST STUNT TEAM.


[h5][ LONG-RANGER ] [/h5]



'One of the positions we had in the test service was 'MARKSMAN (Shooting)', which we changed to 'Long-Ranger(tentative name)' and re-categorized each master based on the new criteria, resulting in HOLLOWPOINT, ZERO, CRUSH, and HEAVY being in the Long-Ranger position.
We intended to give Long-Ranger positions an advantage in situations where you have some distance between you and the enemy, rather than close-range combat.

We're considering one or two of the following characteristics for them.

    1) One of them is to give Throwing Skills that enable them to take down enemies in an instant with powerful one-hit skills.2) Or Skills that can perform a steady ranged damage over medium to long distances.Zero's skill set has been changed to be more thrower/launcher oriented due to position change Heavy's skill to shoot with two guns at once for a moment.​A new skill which allow shooting without bullet consuming for 3 seconds
These Long-Ranger positions will be responsible for overwhelming the enemy with great firepower from the center to the rear of the friendly forces.

'We put a lot of thought into the properties, presentation, and balance of the active skills based on your feedback from our last test. And our thought process is still ongoing.

In an effort to organize these skill sets, we're reorganizing the previously ambiguous positions to make them more rational.

Using these four positions as a base, we're also working on the fighting styles of our new characters. Stay tuned for more updates to the original 12 and the new Master Characters that will be joining them.
