Full Release Notes
  • Increases difficulty of the last staff+circuit puzzle
  • Improves redundant sounding voice effects
  • Removes in game "view log" button (no longer necessary), and mitigates related crash
  • Tutorializes the fact that you can leave a level if you're stuck without losing progress
  • Better tutorializes undo/redo/reset if not used
  • Fixes annoying alternate solution for difficult crab puzzle
  • Adds zones above some large professor puzzles where camera zooms out to reveal the entire area
  • Fixed bug that affected the mouse cursor when the game is in the background on some setups
  • Improved usability of the secret area, especially on Steam Deck. Added a m*****p, increased spacing, and zoomed in slightly.

  • Improves audio mix, including turning down the select and elevator and Snow Crab voice sounds

  • Fixed red herring where it looked like the crab could enter an area that was not relevant
  • Made navigable areas clearer in an end game puzzle
  • Discovered that there is *not* a bug where the interact doublet triggers--my keyboard is just broken (:
  • Improves fiddlyness on some of the ice puzzles
  • Stops showing speed icons over cut scenes they don't affect
  • Fixed a bug where under very specific setups, gates could press orbs through the floor
  • Fixed an area where scenery was slightly blocking a puzzle element
  • The UI showing the current song now stays around for a second after you start moving so you have time to read it
  • Removes unnecessary logs
  • Gives remaining untitled songs names
  • Fixed toggle UI button not hiding dialogue controls
  • Fixed alt solution to a puzzle in the last level
  • Improved calculation of per-level completion percents, fixed bug where they'd be slightly off on some ice levels
  • Adds UI explaining the various video options, and making clear what the recommended settings for most players are
  • Fixed bug where saves from older versions of the game would load into the wrong checkpoint at launch

Cheers,
Mason

Protectors of the Light,

Firstly, the team would like to extend a massive thank you to all of our players for your patience over the past few months. We’ve been hard at work on the development of Age of Darkness: Final Stand, including new single player content, and our long awaited Multiplayer update.

Today, we are excited to share the future Roadmap for Age of Darkness: Final Stand, and reveal the final stages of our journey through Early Access and our path to Multiplayer and our full 1.0 release.

Over the coming months, we will be releasing three new content updates, with a core focus on addressing known issues and bugs, and bringing new single player, Survival focussed content to the world of Erodar. These will include upcoming balance changes, introducing the Order Knight to Survival mode, and new Blessings, Hardships, and Malices.

Our first new update - Seeds of Darkness - will be released next week (Tuesday 7 May, 10am AEST | Monday 6 May, 5pm PDT | Tuesday 7 May, 2am CEST) click here for your local time zone, featuring Map Seeds, Achievements, World Map updates, animation updates, and new accessibility options for our players, alongside several bug fixes and balance changes. We’ll be sharing the full release notes next week, and kicking off a new era of Community Challenges around the new custom Map Seeds! We can’t wait to hear your feedback!

MULTIPLAYER

We have remained committed to delivering on our vision for Age of Darkness: Final Stand - a vision that has always included a co-op Survival mode. We’re pleased to say that development is progressing well - and while this has been a humbling and challenging experience along the way - we’re massively excited to share that Multiplayer is currently planned to launch, alongside our full 1.0 release, this coming Winter (or Summer, if you’re from the Southern Hemisphere like us).

Early Multiplayer Gameplay | Development In-Progress

We understand that you, our players, and our valued Age of Darkness: Final Stand community will be key to helping steer us through this process. With that in mind, our goal is to share the first Multiplayer Beta this Fall.

We’ll aim to share exact dates for both our Multiplayer Beta, and the end of Early Access as we get closer to both launches.

We are incredibly excited for the future of Age of Darkness: Final Stand, and looking forward to sharing more updates around our Multiplayer development, and road to 1.0 in the coming weeks and months. Importantly, we’re excited to continue on this new chapter of our development journey with you - our players.

Till next time Protectors of the Light…

Age of Darkness: Final Stand
Company of Heroes 3 - John_RE

OVERVIEW

This hot fix focuses on resolving GPU related crashes and introduces additional logging so we can get our crash rate down even further. We have also fixed the matchmaking queue estimations being stuck at 50/50. We are still investigating a few outstanding issues. You can find our Known Issues thread here and the previous 1.6.5 patch notes here.

GENERAL
  • Fixed matchmaking queue estimations. Not all players were receiving accurate information based on which match type they were queueing for.
  • Improvements in GPU related crashes where GPUs on a hardware level report as missing, lost or hanging. These are often referred to as D.R.E.D. crashes.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Semovente's barrage to go on cooldown when using smoke launchers.
  • Fixed an issue where modded maps that had the same filename as maps in the quick match pool could cause the Map Preference dialog to show duplicates.
  • The names of cosmetics for the Dark Brown and Charcoal units in the store have been fixed. Localized names will be fixed in a future update.
