Hello everyone!

We've just released a second hotfix to address issues in the Blood in the Water update. Find the list of changes below, and be sure to update your game to the latest version.

Please note: We are aware of localization issues in certain talent descriptions, but unfortunately these could not be addressed in today's hotfix. We will release a third hotfix for the localization issues specifically a bit later, most likely next week.

- Fixed monsters sometimes spawning immediately after the round starts (Often happened between levels, when there was no outpost between them).
- The 'Art of Submarine Warfare' book granted by the 'War Stories' talent is now a separate item and the original book has been reverted to its original state.
- Fixed Thalamus' fleshgun ropes not being able to stick to a submarine anymore.
- Fixed Thalamus' flesh spike crashing the game in the multiplayer game mode.
- Added a scrollbar to the submarine warning list. Fixes the list not fitting on the screen, when there were multiple, long errors.
- Fixed server list filters not saving properly.
- Fixed marking a stack of items to be ignored or deconstructed only taking into account the first item of the stack, instead applying to all items of the stack.
- Removed duplicate localization lines that caused old versions of text to show up in some places.
- Fixes to the Chinese localization.
- Fixed the inability to edit tags that contained the same word as one of the predefined tags.
- Fixed a crash on opening the contextual order menu for an item of another character's inventory while the health interface is open.
- Fixed a crash when editing and resizing the circuit box label texts.

2024 Season 2 Patch 4 Release Notes [2024.05.01.02]
This Patch Release contains important updates and a few fixes for the 2024 Season 2 Release.
Of special note, this Patch removes EasyAntiCheat (EAC) as our Anti-Cheat Software provider and restores Epic Online Services (EOS) to this designation. Issues that resulted from this initial change at the beginning of 2024 Season 2 have been resolved. No actions are required from our Members to make this switch.

Anti-Cheat Software
With this release, iRacing is restoring implementation of Epic Online Services (EOS) as the Anti-Cheat Software in effect. EasyAnti Cheat (EAC) is disabled.
- - No action is required for customers to take in order to make this switch.
- - With thorough in-house testing of multiple versions of EOS, we have confidence that the issues resulting from EOS at the 2024 Season 2 Release have been resolved.
- - If you begin to experience new or previous Anti-Cheat Software issues, please reach out to Customer Service and let us know!

iRacing Weather System
Improved the audio for ambient rain effects in stadium areas.

Physics
Some additional crash logging has been added for zippy events.

Graphics
Some PopcornFX code has been updated.
Fixed a rare issue with PopcornFX rendering.

Pit Stop
All cars with multiple tire compounds have been updated with improved logic that immediately updates the tire compound checkbox statuses.
- - The system now allows you to deselect a tire checkbox when the tire compound is different. When deselecting a checkbox while the compound is different, the system now changes the tire compound back to what is on the car currently.
- - The pit crew now immediately recognize when tire checkboxes have been changed, and immediately start a pitstop when a tire compound change is toggled. When the checkbox changes, it is now immediately effective, more like how a black box operates.
Improved some pit stop detection scripting.

Spotter
Your spotter’s visual acuity has been improved, and he will now let you know if you’re using the wrong tire compound for the current wetness conditions while you are gridding instead of after the race has started.
When you jump the start of a race, the spotter will no longer inform you of the exact duration of your hold penalty, because he was often incorrect due to its variability.
The spotter call for having a car in front or behind you pitting may now only be called once every 10 seconds.

Active Reset
Fixed an issue where the Active Reset sounds were pitch-shifted.

Controls
Fixed an issue where an unrealistic steering column torque value generated by crashing the car could adversely affect the controls.
Pedal vibration effects are now blocked when you are not driving.

(GT3) - The allowable caster range has been increased to allow for some very low rake setups to pass tech inspection.
(Both) - Fixed an issue where the dashboard display was extra dark when transitioning from day to night lighting.

(Moto & Moto - Chicanes) - Fixed an issue where the slowdown penalty for taking the outside of Turn 5 was 35 seconds instead of 1 second.

(Open Wheel Oval) - Track grip has been adjusted to increase performance on the bottom of the track.

Nürburgring Grand-Prix-Strecke
Reduced visual popping that could occur on the signs at the BMW pedestrian bridge.

  • Fixed issue where the "Turn off option settings" text would appear when loading the title with a restricted Xbox/PS5 account, but the settings would not change once you transitioned to the top menu.
  • Fixed bug where the visual effects for wood and stone were not displayed when shooting or striking them.
  • Fixed Battle results bug where info was not correctly displayed when an enemy was killed by a Cataclysm.
  • Other minor fixes.

Ravager

Our Federal Intelligence has unearthed a menacing evolution of the Scorpion Bug, now known as the Ravager. This formidable foe is larger and more lethal than its predecessor, capable of launching explosive projectiles that inflict significant area damage. Armored units should exercise extreme caution; when critically damaged, the Ravager sheds its tail and shifts to a melee combat mode, wielding its massive pincers that can easily penetrate armor.



Rocket defense: M23 Cloudburster

To counter the new Arachnid threats, Federation research has developed the M23 Cloudburster. This versatile machine is armed with a missile launcher system and features two operational modes to maximize combat efficiency: stationary for defensive tactics and mobile for dynamic strikes. It is specifically designed to tackle swarms and execute precise long-range attacks against formidable adversaries like the Ravager and the monstrous new Tanker mutation (featured in a future post).



Fleet Liaison update

We've upgraded the default attack capabilities of the fleet liaison unit. They now call in precision air strikes on designated targets, significantly extending their engagement range and enhancing their role in providing crucial air support. They are now a very effective counter against Scorpions.



Streamlined editing tools

All the scenarios in the game are crafted using our custom in-game editor (which is fully integrated and accessible within the game itself!). For this DLC, we're embracing a new level of verticality, incorporating a broad array of assets to construct towering buildings and skyscrapers. We have made improvements to the editor’s selection tools, making it more intuitive to select, modify, and fine-tune elevations and prop variations.



As of this week, we've opened sign-ups for Closed Beta testing of the Urban Onslaught DLC. This is your chance to experience the new content firsthand and influence its development.

Hey everyone! We're keeping a close eye on the valuable feedback you're giving us, which is why we're delivering another quick hotfix. We're looking into some other things that were mentioned and we'd like to kindly ask for a bit of your patience until we manage to adequately sort them out.




  • Fixed the issue where the prisoner could be locked in combat mode after dropping ranged weapons.
  • Fixed the issue where base building walls sometimes could not be placed on inclined terrain.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to install the vehicle inventory expansion attachment in service mode on other vehicles than Rager.
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to put the Dirtbike on the Car Jack when it is missing the rear wheel.
  • Fixed an issue where dropping items to the vicinity from the vehicle inventory would not work when the vehicle has an inventory expansion attachment installed.
  • Fixed an issue where the passenger camera would change to a smaller FOV when the vehicle is going really fast.
  • Fixed an issue with the collision of the big raft inventory expansion.
  • Fixed an issue where the owner of a base building element wasn't properly shown in drone mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the prisoner would randomly T-pose when mounting a big raft passenger slot.
  • Vehicle inventory expansion collisions are now disabled when there is no vehicle inventory expansion installed.
  • Fixed an issue where entering the raft option from the context menu would not execute correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with the bunny slippers panini in first person.
  • Fixed and issue where base building elements and the grill grid would not interact properly.
  • Fixed the issue where dropping chests from vehicles would destroy BB elements.


  • Flying vehicle cheat detection will now kick the player instead of banning them.
  • Adjusted the drift of the SUP and the Small Raft when moving forward with each paddle cycle.


  • Implemented puppet health multiplier server setting.

The setting will be located under the [World] section of the server settings. With this setting, players will have the option to globally modify the health of the puppets. Also, this setting will not require a server restart for it to take effect as the setting dynamically modifies the health of puppets on the server and multiplies it with the value that you set. Here's some more info on the range of the values for it:

scum.PuppetHealthMultiplier
Default value - 1.0
Min. value - 0.01
Max. value - 100.0

Quick note - the default health values for various puppet types stay the same. This means that muscular/heavy puppets will always have more health in comparison with the skinny puppets, regardless of the multiplier that you set.

Also, suicide puppets will be affected by the health modification, so make sure to take that into account in order to avoid any surprises.

  • Items equipped directly from small storage rack will disappear. Make sure to take them out first.
  • Locks disappear from prefab buildings on relog in Singleplayer.
