HELLDIVERS™ 2 - PS_6

Valiant warriors of justice… a deep freeze is coming to the galaxy. Super Earth leaders are deploying the next Premium Warbond on 9 May to all fearless frontline forces, codename Polar Patriots.*

Overflowing with all-new gear, this package of petrified pandemonium features weapons, armor, capes and emotes. So stay frosty in the roaring heat of battle as you ice the malignant enemies of freedom.

It’s time to thrill and chill, Helldivers!

Firepower

AR-61 Tenderizer
A real tentacle-tearer. This high calibre assault rifle has awesome stopping power but limited magazine size, so make each shot count. Unpatriotic “banter” shots are not advisable.

SMG-72 Pummeler
A slower rate of fire than your other SMGs but these concussive rounds will leave your enemies dazed, confused, and still very ugly. Good things come to Helldivers who wait.

PLAS-101 Purifier
Set the trap. Hold the trigger. Let them charge at you. Smile. They’re getting closer. Smile again. Closer. Smile. Closer. Smile. Closer… and release the trigger.
S.P.L.A.T.
The longer you can hold your nerve, and the trigger, the bigger the damage.

Secondary weapons / Utility Booster

G-13 Incendiary Impact
Don’t waste time reading the instructions, lob it at the enemy and run. This thing detonates on impact and ignites the area in white phosphorus, so make sure you – and your allies – are not standing around having a chat.

P-113 Verdict
The guys in R&D love this one. Gas-operated, semi-automatic, and chambers the largest centrefire cartridge of any lunpistol of its kind. “Rapid Deliberation”, they call it. Quick-draw to look cool in front of your squad.

Motivational Shocks
Literally shocks Helldivers back into action after being hit and slowed by sneaky, unjust attacks like the revolting bug acid vomit. Won’t help you much with area effects like EMS strikes, though.

Armour

CW-36 Winter Warrior
Blend into snowy environments with perfect camouflage. The enemy will never see you coming, until it’s far too late. Ah the sweet smell of stealth. Passive boost – Serve-assisted.

CW-22 Kodiak
Thoroughly pressure-tested by patriotic volunteers as part of the Test Subjects for Super Earth Citizen Advancement Programme. Their sacrifice shall not be forgotten. Passive boost – Fortified.

CW-4 Arctic Ranger
Features a nifty utility belt boasting handy pockets that can be filled with any number of things – pocket knives, mementoes, interesting rocks, Terminid tentacles, bits of bots, etc.

Capes

Dissident's Nightmare
Scientifically proven to be “terrifying” to dissent-afflicted citizens during extensive testing in Patriotic Rehabilitation Centres.

Pinions of Everlasting Glory
All but ensures ascension to the immortal ranks of those enshrined in the Super Earth Digital Archive of Valorous Acts.

Order of the Venerated Ballot
Adorned with the insignia of the Order of the Venerated Ballot – a Ministry-sanctioned Patriot's Club for citizens pledging to preserve the sanctity of voting.

And, of course, the new emotes! We know our brave, heroic soldiers like to bust out a new move right in the middle of ferocious battles – no matter the deadly risk – so rock out with Mime Instrumentation, request incoming patriotic chat with Call the Helldivers, and search for new voters with Distribute Ballots.

Polar Patriots is rolling out to your Destroyer’s Acquisitions panel on May 9.

Keep your cool, drop the temperature and drop some ice cold justice out there, Helldivers! See you planetside.

*Requires base game, paid purchase of Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.

🖥️ Full Screen and Resolution Enhancements
  • Fixed issue where seesaw mod was not working on different resolutions.
  • Changed the "Is Borderless" option to a dropdown for "Full-Screen Mode". Options include Full Screen, Full Screen (Borderless), and Windowed.

    • When Full Screen is selected, the resolution dropdown only shows resolutions that match the aspect ratio of the native display (to prevent stretching). This full screen mode is also known as “exclusive full screen”.
    • Full Screen (borderless) and Windowed will show all available resolutions up to and including the native resolution.
    • Note that Full Screen (borderless and not borderless) does not do any letterboxing to render the game at your native resolution.
  • Fixed autoplay breaking with resolution changes
  • Fixed seesaw being broken with resolution changes

🛠️ Other Fixes and Improvements
  • Fixed deleting Steam map packs resulting in “ghost” song panels
  • Fixed skin editor not allowing the skin creator’s name to be changed.
  • Increased the size of in-game chat slightly.
  • Skin editor now will only accept sprites that have image dimensions of power of 2 (e.g., 256x256, 512x512, …) to reduce the number of issues with texture loading.
  • Fixed difficulty sliders displaying the wrong values for newer maps.

Interstellar Plunderer - Mattie~
Greetings Pilots!

It's been one month since Interstellar Plunderer's release, and it's finally time for the Google Play version of the game to follow the PC version out the door. The mobile version should be available to download right now from the Google Play Store!!!

Google Play Release

  • The same game but mobile, Interstellar Plunderer, can now be played on Android devices.

We have also rolled out this new version with some cards both mobile and PC gamers alike can enjoy...

New Card: Broken Android

  • Broken Android is the newest companion to accompany you on your deep space flights. He may look beat up, but he will surely give your enemies a shock... At least when his broken gyroscope points him in the right direction.

New Card: Advanced Robotics
  • Advanced Robotics is a new addition to help builds that focus on stacking companion cards, namely Sting Drone, Jeremy, and Broken Android.

A few minor bugs have also been fixed to help create a smoother experience.

Coming Soon(ish)

As demonstrated with our roadmap, we are dedicated to a year of new content for you all to digest, so stay tuned. Currently, we are hard at work on the 'customization' update, which has something extra not on the roadmap that we are excited to show off.

For now, though, here is a little teaser of what is to come:

Demeo Battles - Elinari
Greetings, Champions!

Getting hands-on with the Assassin was interfering with their stealth - today's patch should help Kai keep to the shadows as intended!

Bugs
  • Board pieces that are stealthed or out of line of sight should no longer remain visible if the board piece is being held
  • Orientation should now be fixed when tilting the game board

See you in the Arena!
The Tribe Must Survive - SBZ_alexkilmpasanis
Tribe Leaders,

A new dawn breaks over your tribes, and with those first rays of sunlight comes hope - and a patch. The hope, you’ll have to manage on your own, but for the patch notes, we got your back.
This update focuses heavily on replayability and balancing difficulty throughout the game’s acts.

We’re just one more month away from the full release and are so excited to have you with us this far on our journey. Make sure to check in on the game and get a feel for all the changes before the 1.0 release!

Without further ado, let’s have a look at the changes coming in the May update.

Patch Notes
Discontent & Tribe Growth
  • A series of act modifier effects have been introduced that multiplies the discontent from unsatisfied needs (Act 2: x1.15 / Act 3: x1.3 / Act 4: x1.5 / Act 5: x2)
  • Additionally, tribe growth is cut down in Act 5 by 90%.
  • A base tribe growth change has been introduced, that roughly translates to 20% more tribe growth
  • These changes result in more growth early and less growth late and basically no more growth during Act 5 (so no more cheesing the Cataclysm by outgrowing sacrifices)
Outpost Pacing
  • Required Journey steps to fully uncover an outer quadrant has been halved from 12 to 6
Outpost & Trade Caravan speed has been increased greatly
  • Outer Quadrant resource spawn locations have been pulled together a bit
  • Animal herds have gotten a Map icon, so you can consider them in your outpost placement
  • A series of exploration centered events has been added that can aid in uncovering the ideal quadrant for your strategy
Starvation Perk
  • Starvation has a much longer grace period before it can kill someone (from ~half a day to a full day) and scales a bit slower. Shock is much less deadly as a consequence
Forest Regrowth
  • Forests can now regrow (slowly) even if you cut them down completely
  • Overall regrowth has been accelerated a bit in the baseline by tweaking various factors
  • The Forestry building upgrade might seem nerfed on paper (from 75% to 50%), but it now applies to all growth factors
  • Overall you can push the forest boundary slightly slower now, and careful management of your forests can increase your wood economy significantly
Interactions / Opinions / Inner Conflicts
  • We have made a number of changes to the Interactions Simulation between Tribe Member to improve the way Factions form and grow. This should enable Inner Conflicts to happen more regularly.
  • The Tribe member opinions now do not gravitate to all positive opinions anymore. This should provide a more diverse opinion landscape that sets the stage for various Inner Conflicts.
It is still very much work in progress, as we are waiting to see how these changes affect your runs. There will be an additional batch of content and balancing changes for this in the 1.0 launch.

Building Upgrades
  • Added Trade Upgrades
  • Did changes to many Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 upgrades to make specifically late-game upgrades more impactful
  • Adjusted the cost for Tier 3 and Tier 4 to account for different play-styles and available resources
Events
  • Adjusted and added Events, this includes for example:
    • Added a new event category called an Event Cluster. During your run, you may encounter strange beings in search of a new home. It is up to you to decide if helping them is worth the cost.
    • New events for when cohesion is low and when discontent high
    • Improvements and balancing adjustments to many other events
    • A few new event artworks
Night Horn
  • The Night Horn automation is turned on from the start of the game now
Notifications
  • Added a new notification to provide more information during the Cataclysm
Building Contact Shadows
  • Buildings now have small shadows where they meet the ground
General
  • Hunters now deliver food after getting two animals instead of four
  • Added a Food Icon to show the location of the Animal-Herds in the Strategy-View
  • Shadow death now has a much higher chance when the fire is out and wood is 0, to make failed runs end faster
  • Added Windowed mode
  • As always many bug fixes, UI improvements and performance optimisation
Future Updates
We are very grateful for all your feedback throughout this Early Access period. It allowed us to bring the game to its best possible state. We now feel ready to proceed with the release of 1.0, with some significant, and highly-requested additions.

The biggest change we want to highlight is the introduction of Player Progression. New players can look forward to completing early-game goals for Score points. Completing those goals and achieving other feats during a run, contributes to a gradual unlock of different perks and systems that can be used in the next playthrough. For the more initiated, new Challenge Levels will give you some demanding obstacles to overcome, enhancing your sense of mastery of The Tribe Must Survive. Expect more details on these features on a related update ahead of the release.

To wrap this all up, a new Ending scene will be added as a reward for people who complete a successful run and the mysterious Red Tree Spiritual Aspects will now be available to unlock.

As always, don’t hesitate to join in our Discord server and leave a review about the game on Steam. We are very excited to hear your thoughts about the upcoming additions and we cannot wait for you to experience them yourselves!

And remember; whatever it takes... The Tribe Must Survive!
