The first few weeks we were focused on pumping out patches to improve AutoForge. Now that things are mostly better we have shifted our attention to working on the first major update - Strange Encounters (v0.3). We've made some great progress on this already but there is still much more to do. While working on it, I do plan to simultaneously get in at least one or two more patches for 0.2 since I know there are a number of things that need some more immediate action.
Developer Livestream Feedback Event
I have read over the feedback and suggestions on the Steam forums but honestly I have yet to go deep into all that has been posted on the AutoForge Discord server. I do truly appreciate everyone taking the time to share your thoughts and so I am now putting on an event this Friday at 10AM PDT. This will likely be an all day event where I will be streaming over on my Twitch channel as I go through each and every post. If you haven't already now is a great time to share your suggestions and feedback. I hope you can join!
A little patch here with a pretty big impact, let's get to it:
Improvements across the animal sheets, animal sheets should now update more often and more accurately.
Animals should no longer stay in the pen after they've been sold.
Character Sheets will now hide when selecting a special social interaction such as marriage or improving skills. This is a stop gap solution until Character Sheets follow the z index.
I think there are some other improvements in here since it's been a while since I've uploaded a build (dealing with personal issues) so let me know if you run into anything. I'm also aiming to massively expand the descriptions in the game, adding descriptions for jobs, items and menus but that's going to take some time so if it's a while before the next patch, you know what to expect.
Based on the feedback received and how demotivating it was to play against opponents from other leagues due to the difference in MMR gained or lost, we have changed the system of increment and decrement as follows:
Winning Match - +20 MMR points for defeating an opponent in your same league +15 MMR points for defeating someone from a lower league +25 MMR points for defeating an opponent in a higher league
Losing Match - -10 MMR points for losing against someone in your same league -15 MMR points for losing against a rival from a lower league -5 MMR points for losing against an opponent from a higher league
Disconnections
We made improvements to prevent some disconnections that could occur, and there is no penalty for MMR loss when the disconnection is involuntary.
Bug Fixes
We also made corrections and minor improvements.

Island: removed the initial hoverbike, it was a temporary solution until the appearance of a hover that you can build yourself.
Island: a new element "Hunter" - a combat hoverbike, and his docking station for recharging ammunition/repair. After being destroyed, it recovers in 10 seconds at his dock station.
Bridge level: slightly expanded the location on the street on the left at the main crossroads, added loot. It should feel less cramped/corridor-like.
Quantum towers have been simplified once again to avoid keeping the player waiting. The triggers are now static, just the cubes are slightly cover triggers sometimes. Therefore, activation in a good case is done by a simple sequence of plasma.
Improved gamepad control when interacting with energy triggers.
AIM assist for gamepads has been better customized.
Alright it's been a long development but the day is finally here. v1.0.0 is ready!
Back in October of 2023, I started working on a little prototype for a small coin pusher.
