Howdy y'all,

Today, we're starting a new series to introduce y'all to the Wild Bastards gang! We'll be sharing insights into the outlaws and their playstyles. For our first Bastard, we're coming in hot by pouring some gasoline on today's Bastard to watch him catch ablaze. Introducing Smoky!

Algernon "Smoky" Johnson was a young successful chef on his way to the top. A kitchen fire triggered his mutant genes and he was cast out of pure human society. He now lives in a state of constant pain and conflagration.

All-in-all, Smoky just wants to cook great meals, and he doesn't really care what it's made out of.



Damage: Moderate
Range: Short-Medium
Rate of Fire: Extremely Fast
Ammo Capacity: Moderately High
Special Notes: Upon hitting the floor, turns into flame carpet. Upon direct contact with shot or flame carpet, ignites enemies and damages them over time.

Smoky's Flamethrower is a completely unique weapon in the Wild Bastards universe that allows him to use his extremely fast rate of fire with the special flame carpet effect for multiple strategies. Use this combination to deal with numerous short to medium ranged enemies with ease. Due to his short range, he's not the greatest outlaw to go after distant enemies.



Cookout immediately ignites all enemies within a large radius around Smoky, letting them burn until they turn into smoldering ashes. Use this stunt when you're surrounded or just can't find where those last enemies are hiding.






Smoky fits great with almost every other Bastard, and especially does well with a long-range one to make up for his limitations. As stated, he's also great at going solo as long as his weaknesses are accounted for.

With great crowd control and some of the best mod versatility, you're going to love frying up some beans with Smoky.

Gelli Fields has a free demo! This is something I've been working on for a long time and I am SO happy to finally share it with you all!

The demo features the first two biomes of the game! The game features changing mechanics in each biome so it's really important to highlight that aspect of the game by letting you play two of them! Please give any feedback you have I'm always looking to improve the game.

Even though Farming Fest ends on the 6th the demo will remain up past that date. I'll do my best to release patches for any major bugs found.

Gelli Fields is going to be shown off in the June Nextfest and I think I might upload a new trailer with sneak peeks at some content from the full game!
