Slappyball - A Reese Of Cake
Hey, small but medium sized update here:

We felt for awhile that for casual matches, it's length can vary a ton. And for a cute lil sports game, having a game go on for too long doesn't feel great. Plus, what if you are expecting a shorter game and have important Business to attend to?

Casual matches are now just one set, 12 points to victory.

As well, there are changes to improve matchmaking reliability and party connections.

Keep on slapping \o/

WANDERER: Broken Bed - cabaret_garolda

🤭 Hey, howdy hi, our dear Wanderers! 🤭
There's something that we're updating... Yes, the game itself and the character models, but there's another equally nice part for those who like to watch and enjoy... It's the artbook! Yes, we're redesigning it now too, bringing just the latest information about the characters, as well as all their new and old versions ✨

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2485860/WANDERER_Broken_Bed/

It is mentioned that this is a DEMO version for a reason. The table of contents states that the full artbook will have 200+ pages. For now, we're sharing it with you with the most enjoyable part of it - our girls and the other characters in our story 🔥

So far, these are small examples of what will later come out on Steam as an DLC. The artbook will be coming out after the release of the WANDERER: Broken Bed itself. For now, add to your wishlists! 💜

New week brings new changes and bug fixes that you've been reporting all weekend!

We're still actively looking into various performance improvements to make the game more stable and boost your FPS on any system you might have. We've solved some of the issues on GPUs below minimum requirements already, but will continue to fine tune the game to allow it to run on your hardware and get rid of all the known GPU crashes. We're currently also investigating high memory consumption and will hopefully have a fix for it soon.

  • Added saves backup system; old saves will be backed up in case new saves fail to create
  • Made reclamation party only attacking one village if multiple are liberated
  • Made reclamation party attack once every 3-5 days

  • Fixed item description of Animal Trophies saying they can be placed in villages
  • Fixed storage rules on stockpiles making item unavailable for crafting

Aw Heck, WAR! - Barph_Stroganoff
Maddeningly, before this update, when changing any movement settings in the in-game menu, your changes would not remain when loading a new level/main menu level. Now, the menu saves the selections you make!

ALSO: thanks to a discussion post by a dear player, I have added head AND controller based movement direction options! I think they more or less wanted me to add room scale mode so they can irl walk around and have the player character recenter around them, but unfortunately this is a bit complicated for me and I cannot find a good solution for this yet, as the player collision capsule that is the root of the entire player only moves when you give an input for it to do so, making that update to follow the player's head is the issue. BUT regardless, this update now gives you more options for more natural movement.

I don't recommend using controller direction while using armwaver mode, it makes you zig-zag a lot, please use head-direction moving when using armwaver. This may improve in the future when I can calculate a more constant forward vector from the controllers that works best with armwaver.

Speaking of Armwaver locomotion: there was an issue where there would be random drops in speed in random places on the map. I believe to have remedied this by making the player run speed drop gradually after armwaving stops, rather than being set in the same frame that the waving stops. (ugh I hope that makes sense, what a buncha nerd talk)
