Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported Sker Ritual on its early access journey and welcome to all those who will be having the Sker experience for the first time.

“We are super excited to bring Sker Ritual to players on console and PC.” said Dr. David Banner MBE - CEO & Co-Founder at Wales Interactive. “Over the past two years, our core team of five has been working non-stop to implement community feedback from the PC Early Access, ensuring the 1.0/console launch is the complete package. Baldur's Gate 3 - SaloAtLarian
Hey gang,

It’s been a whirlwind few months here at the Larian castle, attending some of the biggest awards ceremonies in our industry, and we are absolutely humbled by the recognition we’ve received from our players and our peers.

As you might have seen, last week we attended the BAFTA Games Awards 2024, donning our nicest pair of pants to accept awards recognising Baldur’s Gate 3 for Narrative, Music, Performer in a Supporting Role (Andrew Wincott as Raphael), the publicly-voted Players’ Choice award, and Best Game.

This is the fifth major Game of the Year trophy Baldur’s Gate 3 has been awarded since launch, alongside awards from Golden Joysticks, Game Developers Choice, DICE, and The Game Awards. As far as we can tell, that makes Baldur’s Gate 3 the first game in history to win GOTY at every major awards show. Needless to say, our heads are still spinning, our hearts two sizes too big, and our mums are thrilled. What a remarkable journey this has been, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

You folks were the first to have faith in us, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Every comment, livestream, meme, and piece of art you created throughout Baldur’s Gate 3’s development let us know we were on to something special long before any of this. Awards are of course appreciated, but it’s this community that has been the true source of our resilience while we were making this game. Whether you’ve been active since the halcyon days of the Astarion body pillow or are a long-time veteran of Early Access; whether you’ve participated in our Panel From Hell livestreams or discovered the game after launch, thank you for supporting Baldur’s Gate 3 and helping to nurture this community of wonderful weirdos. It’s meant the world to us.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

So, what's next for Baldur's Gate 3?

We still have a few tricks up our sleeve.

We’re working on our next game update, Patch 7, which will add improved evil endings to the game for even darker conclusions to your most sinister playthroughs, and yes, that includes you non-Durge players.

Without giving too much away, here’s a little teaser for what’s to come: be warned, there may be spoilers!

Got ‘em.

What’s the best way to get blood stains out?

These new cinematic cutscenes have also been given the musical treatment by our very own BAFTA award-winning composer, Borislav Slavov.

"Dark endings usually make the music colours go dark too. Here is a snippet of music from one of the upcoming new end scenes." - Bobby, Composer & Music Director.

This one gave us shivers!

Patch 7 also aims to fix several bugs that you have reported, including Jaheira’s unwillingness to follow the group and jump into combat, Wyll’s less-than-romantic greetings, as well as the mysteriously disappearing Narrator lines from the Gortash and Dark Urge confrontation, to name a few.

This next patch will also begin introducing our official modding tools, letting you change up visuals, animations, sounds, stats, and more to overhaul Baldur’s Gate 3 into the weird nightmare realm of your dreams.

Beyond Patch 7, we will continue focusing on bug fixes, performance enhancements, and stability improvements to ensure you have the best possible gaming experience.

And yes, we are also actively working on bringing Crossplay and a Photo Mode to Baldur’s Gate 3, but the work required to bring these to you means that these additions will likely be further down the road.

Learning from our journey with you

It’s no secret that game dev is one gigantic learning curve, but it’s these learnings and your feedback that help us improve, so we are introducing additional internal playtesting ahead of releases to support our regular QA process.

With Patch 7 being packed full of bug fixes and new features we’ve yet to go into detail on, there will also be a closed beta on PC where a select number of players worldwide will be given an opportunity to test the latest update - which we’ll talk about more in the coming weeks!

Looking to the future

Being given the chance to develop a game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe has been a dream come true for all of us. But as Swen recently confirmed, we won't be introducing any major new narrative content to the story of Baldur's Gate 3 or its origin characters and companions, nor will we be making expansions or Baldur’s Gate 4.

As an independent studio since 1996, we value the freedom to follow our creativity wherever it leads. In this case, after six years in the Forgotten Realms and much discussion and rumination, we’ve decided to seize this opportunity to develop our own IPs. We’re currently working on two new projects and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future has in store.

It’s still early days - we’ll tell you more about those later down the line. But know that even as our focus turns to these new games, the sensibilities that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 are alive and well here at the Larian castle. We’re fueled by the very same fire in our bellies, one that drives us to create immersive experiences shaped by your choices, and we can’t wait for you to join us on this next adventure.

If you have any worries about our change in direction, then perhaps this’ll help:

“I don’t know if we’re going to pull it off, but looking at our narrative, visual and gameplay plans, I think what we’re working on now will be our best work ever. I get excited like a kid watching the key imagery, want to show it to everyone now and grumble in frustration at having to wait until it’s actually all working. Yes, it’s hype but it’s hype because it really looks and feels good.” - Excited Swen, April 17th 2024.

Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together - Bajer

Hi Chefs!👨‍🍳

Let’s check some of the new handy features that will turn cooking in Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together into something even more professional!

While creating the game we focus on improving the gameplay, which is based on recreating lifelike cooking in a professional kitchen.
In Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together your task will be to prepare various meals for the restaurant’s guests simultaneously! That’s why you will have Chef’s little helpers at your disposal in the game. One of them may seem small but how important – a stainless steel container!
CONTAINERS 👌

You already know that we introduced some changes in the BIG KITCHEN. First of all, you’ll have separate work stations for cutting and preparing products. This is also the place where you can transfer products into the containers. They’ll have different sizes and you’ll be able to mark them with colorful stickers!

In the heart of the Big Kitchen we have designed two islands – as you know, we’ll introduce a coop mode in the game! On each island there are two assembly stations. It means that you will be able to prepare not only one dish but four different meals at the same time! Each assembly station has a place for 8 containers, which gives us as many as 32 containers max.

It’s important to add that at the end of the day if you have some ingredients left, you can store them in the fridge in the containers. It’ll extend the freshness of products. And if you’d like to run this place as a professional Chef you can prepare the ingredients in larger quantities in advance in the morning or in the evening for the next day’s cooking! How cool is that 😃

We’ll be revealing more tasty details soon! If you want to stay up-to-date with news and announcements wishlist and follow Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together on Steam!🚀

Meadow - A Shelter Game - MaD_Oliver
News

  • We added a new unlockable action - sniffing! To unlock it, you need to collect 100 000 essence. Stop and smells the flowers!
  • We’ve made adjustments to the locomotion system to make it work like it did before.
  • We updated the minimap feature. Now you can switch the player display mode on the minimap in game settings.

If you have blocked some players, you won’t be able to see their markers on the minimap or regular map.

  • We’ve added a possibility to track particular players. If you want to find your friends, you can do that by clicking the button next to the mute/unmute button on the player list. Then, their markers become golden and are always shown both on the minimap and the map.

An indicator to show the camera direction has been added both in the minimap and the map.
The quick selection wheel can now be closed by pressing Right Mouse Button.
Now you can press Tab key to show and hide all emotes. It can be customised in game settings.

  • You can now hold RB (right shoulder button) to show/hide in-game UI with the gamepad.

We added camera new controls for gamepad:

  • Hold LT (left trigger) and push right joystick to zoom in/out;
  • Hold RT (right trigger) and push right joystick to change camera height.

We’re introducing a new approach to the Classic branch:

  • We needed to make some back-end changes to how the emotes/special emotes/actions are structured to ease working with them and adding more in the future. This has caused a de-sync between the Classic version of Meadow and the current Live/Beta. To ensure the best player experience we can, we decided to guide classic players to their own “Classic grove”. This grove can only be accessed while playing on the Classic version. To access Meadow Classic you need to right click on Meadow in your Steam library, select “Properties…”, go to “Betas” and select “classic - Classic branch” from the “Beta Participation” dropdown menu. To go back to the current version please select “None” in the “Beta Participation” drop down menu.

Fixes

  • Name-peeking is fixed now.

  • Full wardrobe achievement to be unlocked when unlocking the first skin.

  • The issue of several animals still existing when you return back to the Den from the game has been fixed.
  • The ambient sounds no longer persist when you return back to Den from the game.
  • The customised key mapping is fixed now and will remain the same after relaunch.

  • The issue of animal-cloning and spawning under the wolf after you return to Den is fixed now.

  • The bear cub is not able to walk while performing Sleep and Play Actions anymore.
  • Cursor now hides when hiding UI (default keybind “H“)
  • The issue with the audio volume not turning down when opening the pause menu at the Big Tree has been fixed.

Quilts and Cats of Calico - kingab
Hi there, Quilters!

It’s been 5 weeks since the release of Quilts and Cats of Calico. It’s also been a fun ride for us and we hope playing the game has been fun for you. We know we thanked you time and time again, but this email is us saying thank you again. Part of this is because we feel you deserve it, and additionally, we wanted to share something with you.

First of all, we’re extremely grateful for the Steam reviews that appeared on the game’s store page after our last message. At the moment of us writing this, the game sits at over 200 reviews and a fantastic 95% positive review rate. We know this is thanks to your efforts and we appreciate that a LOT! We couldn’t be happier about how well the game’s been received, but that doesn’t mean we’re done - we’ll keep doing our best to work on the rough edges and improve the experience.

Speaking of reviews and opinions, there have been some in particular that caught our attention and made us feel warm and fuzzy inside. Some are written by gaming outlets, while others - you guessed it - were written by you! What we did is rounded up some of our favorites and put together an accolades trailer. Take a look:

That being said, if you want your opinion to be seen but still haven’t posted a review, please do so - we (and the cats, too, surely) would be grateful if you did!

We hope you enjoyed it and we also hope you continue to enjoy playing Quilts and Cats of Calico. We can’t wait to share what’s next for the game, but for today, that’s all we wanted to say.

Stay tuned for more, stay safe and cozy, and give a hug to your cat for us! 😸
