SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection Update Patch Ver. 1.21 has been released.

▼Ritual of Bonds Vol. 2
- New scenarios featuring Alice, Eugeo, Leafa, Yuuki, Rain, Seven, Kureha, Zeliska, and Medina.
- Premium Pass holders and those who have purchased it separately will get access to Ritual of Bonds Vol. 2, which can be begun by speaking to characters in Obsidia Castle Town from Chapter 8 of the main story onwards.
- Recommended Rank for Ritual of Bonds Vol. 2 is 34.
- During each character's scenario, there will be restrictions on party formation and other activities.
- The scenarios added in Vol. 2 can be played to the end even if Vol. 1 has not been purchased or cleared.

- The following new outfits will be added for Alice, Eugeo, Leafa, Yuuki, Rain, Seven, Kureha, Zeliska, and Medina.
- Kirito: Soul Ritual Black Wear
- Alice, Eugeo, Leafa, Yuuki, Rain, Seven, Kureha, Zeliska, and Medina: Soul Ritual Black Wear

✔️ Fixed a phenomenon in which selecting "Visualize Attire" for the character "Rain" could result in a disheveled hairstyle.

✔️ Fixed a phenomenon in which the item icon for the item "Cool Breeze Garb" was not displayed correctly.

✔️ Fixed the phenomenon in which the Allied Gauge does not recover to 100% at the start of the boss battle when playing "Forbidden Shrine" in succession.

✔️ Fixed the phenomenon in which when a guest user executes a finishing art during online play, the finishing art is canceled if the user performs a "Sword Skill" or step just before the attack decision is made.

✔️ For "Vecta's Silhouette" appearing in "Ritual of Bonds," the phenomenon in which the Seal does not appear on the face in the event scene before the battle has been corrected.

✔️ Fixed a phenomenon in which the Visualize Attire of all 1-Handed Mace added in patches 1.10 and 1.20 was removed when a 1-Handed Mace was acquired in 《Ritual of Bonds》.

✔️ Special Effect "Remove Buffs on Enemy-1" now removes the "Titanic Loss" debuff that is granted to enemies in the Sacred Disaster Quests.

✔️ The recommended rank for the weapon enhancement quest "The Power of the Blades" has been adjusted from Rank 30 to Rank 50.
 The rewards for "The Power of the Blades" have also been adjusted upward to reflect the above.

✔️ The suggested attack range of the "[Charge] Nostalgic Dusk" skill used by Griffon-based enemies was being displayed a little smaller.

✔️ When editing 《Skill Palette》, a phenomenon has been fixed where the passive skill of an armor with two granted skills set could be set in the Skill Palette in a specific procedure.

✔️ Fixed a phenomenon in which the game could become inoperable if save data was created before and after a new illustration event in "Ritual of Bonds" and "Load" and "Return to Title" were repeated on two save data.

✔️ Fixed a phenomenon in which Skill Connect EX lowers the cost when a guest uses "Skill Connect EX" for stance and aiming skills during multiplayer.

✔️ Other minor adjustments.

This is a small hotfix to resolve hotkey and inventory slot inputs being disabled after the prologue on a fresh new campaign and to slightly polish the lockpicking mechanic.

➡️ Changes
  • Lockpicks are only consumed if you fail the lockpicking minigame instead of upon starting the minigame to increase risk/reward feeling of lockpicking and reduce the grind of gathering lockpicks
  • The player will now switch to the lockpick item when lockpicking to prevent equipped items from clipping weirdly and to increase immersion
  • Changed styling of waiting for players and skip video button prompts

🛠️ General Fixes
  • Fixed being unable to switch weapons with hotkey numbers or interact with inventory slots after completing the prologue
  • Resolved AI re-pathing that would occur if you sold a turret, picked it up, and walked around in your shop
  • Polished some death box dropping behavior
  • Increased building integrity of bamboo foundation to match vertical beams and other foundation pieces
  • Fixed being able to get stuck on the main menu if you spam clicked Join Game or Settings
  • Fixed item pickup notifications not showing up in certain cases
  • Reduced length for prologue chair sitting animation to match the cutscene better

CHANGES
-Toned down "Tougher enemies" battle challenge.
-Made high unit counts from "Extra units" battle challenge less likely.
-AI characters will now better avoid harmful environmental tiles with teleporting and jumping skills, but not completely if they are good positions for using other skills.

FIXES
-Fixed an exploit that in some cases with good timing would allow player units to attack farther with a normal melee attack than is normally possible.
-Mute setting will now be remembered between game sessions.
-Fixed bug where endless runs didn't properly update high scores.
-Fixed a bug that would cause some event outcomes affecting the next battle to disappear during saving & loading.
-Fixed a visual UI bug where Passing Wisdom buff did not visually update mana points to the current unit's details.
-Fixed a bug with comparison tooltip that could cause it to block the mouse while being invisible.

-Fixed a bug that caused AI characters to sometimes prefer using charge skills or pulling skills against barrels.
-Fixed a bug that caused AI characters to think that pulling an explosive barrel next to their own face and making it blow up is a good idea.
-Fixed an issue where few specific events could cause an error if the player had 0 characters in their team.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed default input for roll not properly using ctrl modifier.
  • Fixed default input for zoom in/out not using ctrl modifier.
  • Removed camera shake for player summoned infernal.
  • Fixed issue with Brightwood Requests skipping to last dialogue line.

New:

  • Added new talent in fel tree, Ruin: Increases your direct fel damage by 5% per fel burn on the target.
  • Added resistances to enemy bars, will be looking for feedback on if it's too cluttered or other suggestions. Possibly an option to disable for example.
  • Added New talent in fel tree, Corrupted Wounds: Reduces healing on targets by 35% (up to 70%) to targets with fel burns.

Dungeonmans - [APro] MadjackMcMad
A certain very deadly purple stack of monster has had a some work done, and some bugs related to damage dealt, resistance, and printing damage to the log have been corrected.

Some other fiddly bugs with damage processing have been fixed. What I'm getting at is that some of you got killed unfairly by monsters that dealt damage which should have been processed by resists but instead was just treated as true damage and you ate shit. I'm sorry.

But it also worked in reverse for Rose of the North, which will no longer be able to, for instance, deal fire damage to monsters with 100% fire resist. Again, sorry.

Oh and hey uh some powers the player and their bird had access too also did this and would bust through even 100% resists.

The full screen log can now shift over to show just combat data.

Added more keybinds to keybinds.txt. Still no keybind UI.

Nurphe Bats can no longer undertune or rebalance a Dungeonmans' fist.

Rotating Fire Pillar Traps are now a little clearer about what they're gonna burninate next turn, and they no longer are walk throughable.

The heart particles that got stuck in the world sometimes should not do that anymore. Probably!

If you are running at a high enough resolution, the inventory screen will now show you your elemental resists underneath the rest of the stats. I mean look at all that space. Thanks BuckSilver for nudging me to make use of it.

A whole bunch of love went into the item equipping process. There were some bugs with things like Battlemage and Dual Wielding that made getting the right items equipped a pain in the ass. Should be better now.

Fixed a crash involving the midbosses in the Mountain Fortress.

Fixed a crash where a truly dedicated enemy ninja would try to dodge after he was already killed.

Tried to fix this crash: "I destroyed a staff wielded by a previous Mans, clearly the unleashed magic was too much for the fabric of the universe"

Done and done! Well there's no roar sfx but all your pets will do little level up hops now.

Hello All!

Tomorrow is the big day, and I wanted to release a final patch of fixes and optimizations before then!



Several minor optimizations in this build should make large-scale combat faster yet again, but the critical testing this week focused on long-running games. As a solo developer, it can be hard to get into the long game, but thankfully, custom mode allowed me to speed things up. What this allowed for is setting up an automated tower that can reach day 150 with minimal work, and I left it running overnight with no troubles!



If anyone does run into any difficulties don't hesitate to join the Discord and ping me directly, I've taken the this week and next off of work to make sure I have time to fix anything at lightning speed.
