A new update has come to SoulQuest to fix some errors and rebalance asked by the community. Thank you guys so much for the support SoulQuest has been having this year.

Changes made:

- Added a zoom-out effect for platforming scenarios so players can get a better look at their surroundings.
- Increased the difficulty of the final boss.
- Increased air attacks style.
- Decreased "million stab" damage.
- Added a cooldown for aerial "million stab"
- Completing the current dialog now doesn't stop the voice audio.
- Corrected some misspelling errors.
- Added the function of running with the d-pad by double tapping a direction.
- Added the Join the Discord button on the main menu.

  • User Interface: Added a splash screen and a photosensitivity warning for safety.
Balance Changes
  • Adjustments to Great Sword:
    • Increased attack range to improve combat reach.
    • Decreased recovery time for the last combo attack to enhance responsiveness.
    • Dash-Attack now includes a slight knock-back effect.
    Overall, these changes aim to make the weapon feel less sluggish.
Bug Fixes
  • Rage Mode: Fixed an issue where players remained stuck in Rage Mode after switching maps.
  • Dialogues: Fixed an issue that prevented some dialogues from playing.
  • Save Slots: Fixed an issue that caused save slots to display "Unknown" as the location.
  • Ultimate Badges: Reintroduced a previously removed badge after fixing underlying functionality issues.
  • Maps: Made collision and layout adjustments to certain maps for smoother navigation.
  • Stability: Made memory improvements to reduce crash problems.

Here's the updated devlog with the changes wrapped in the Steam list format:

Update on mining rig and boat attachments

We felt like the mining rig was not up to our standards and wanted to give it more love in the style of a new information screen that explains to you in detail how much your mining rig is producing! We also made changes to how the ores drop and where you place it makes an impact. Each of the regions in the game, for example, grass, autumn, spring, and snow, have different possible ores that are included in the yields that can be mined.


Boats now also have 3 new items that can be attached to them with an advanced workbench:


  • 2 motors with different fuels
  • A storage that allows you to pack extra for the trip or bring home a bigger fishing catch

Bug fixes

Here are also bug fixes that we managed to fix:

  • Chest found from Treasure map will no longer respawn
  • Fixed bug where adding batteries to mini turret would make them empty
  • Fixed bug on steam inventory where keys would show up as duplicate
  • Fixed an item duplication exploit when placing item
  • Made farming collar harder to obtain
  • Applied fix for players using exploit to create clones of themselves
THRESHOLD Playtest - PATALOON
  • Fixed several bugs and blockers.
  • Added a UI feature allowing player to better know what they consume in terms of Oxygen.
  • Mo can now be traversed, no longer blocking player.
Nucleares - Iwa
The following improvements and fixes were implemented:

  • Fixed bug with the indicator lights missing from the fuel block containers in the control room.
  • Fixed bug with inverted labels on the external reactor vessel load pump actuator.
  • Fixed bug with glare in the control room when activating dynamic lights.
  • Fixed bugs when interacting with the train buttons: door opening, trip start, trip selector.
  • Fixed bug in the position of the AO battery in the player's hands, which prevented it from being placed back in the robot.
  • Fixed bug in the energy absorbed indicator of resistance banks, when activating a bank without resistance blocks.
  • Fixed bug with the core's radioactivity visual effect on water.
  • Fixed bug in the radioactivity sensors, which were not deactivated even if the area had been decontaminated.

  • Added the description of the area that requires decontamination to the pending maintenance tasks report.
  • Improved tube textures so that they look correct even in low quality.
  • Improved the interaction of the advanced core vessel water simulation with the control rods.
  • Improved the animation of the advanced water simulation so that there are no jumps when lowering the level inside the external vessel.
  • Increased the sound emitted by the generating turbine so that it can be heard again from the control room.
  • Modified the fast-time time format from hh:mm to hh H : mm M : ss S to unify the indicators and avoid confusion.
  • Blocked the ability to modify dynamic lights, as well as changing the quality profile during the game, to prevent graphical glitches.
  • Enlarged the window between the control room and the reactor core.

This update is compatible with all previous savegames. If you're having trouble loading a saved progress, please let me know!

The Motorcycle - Troubacom
Update 1.8.3
Hi guys, hope you missed me :)
After long time, I again found motivation to work on this game, because I encountered some problems, that needed to be repaired.

I also created public github repository that I would like to use as bug tracking for you guys. So with that, you can help me with finding bugs, problems or share your ideas for the game improvement. However, you need to have a github account to post something.

Changes:

What's new or changed?
  • Dialog system (Used only on the first and last map)
  • Make the first and "between" map hopefully more first time user friendly
  • Cursor now changes, when you point at something interactable
  • Little bit changed the game ending
  • New title graphics in the main menu
  • New splash screen :O

Bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug, where you need to watch intro for the bossfight each time, when user launches the game
  • Fixed a bug, where sometimes the game respawns you at the start of the last map after dying during the bossfight
  • Fixed an issue with camera sensitivity, where it would change along with current framerate
  • Fixed issue with traps, where it wouldn't register all the key presses, same with shooting photos during the bossfight
  • Made the flashlight a lot brighter, so it's now easier to navigate maps
  • (Almost) Fixed camera showing the moving animation even when staying still
  • Readjusted default settings
