Here are the release notes for Update 39.2, released on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.


Instances can no longer award legendary (gold) traceries unless the instance is set to a level cap, and also require players themselves to be at that level cap, or up to 3 levels below it, in order to receive legendary traceries. This means that instances such as The Doom of Caras Gelebrin will henceforth only award incomparable (teal) traceries when the instance is set to level 141-149, but can award legendary traceries when set to level 150. If the instance in question is set to level 150, players present when the chest is opened must be between the levels of 147 and 150 if they want to receive legendary traceries. This is true for any historical level caps as well: you can run instances at level 130, for example, to earn legendary Morgul traceries, but the players present must be levels 127-130.

• Azagath's Sea-shadow and his crew are now more aggressive and responsive to players who enter the arena to face them.
  
• Slapping Tentacles will now throw stones at random players if left alive too long (exact time depends on the instance tier).
  
• Hâkraph's Static Shock is now much more damaging, and will correctly damage players near the Crackling Conduit.
  
• The Arenas of Conflict meta Deed 'Deeds of the Arena of Conflict' will now bestow and complete properly.
  
• The Algraig, Men of Enedwaith, have erected a Task Board in Lhanuch where five new level 60 task quests can be found that award reputation with their faction. These tasks are also available from the Neighborhood Task Boards.
  
• Monsters with skill power costs were using significantly too much power per skill play. These power costs have been adjusted to a more appropriate scale.

• Beorning's Umbari Armour of the Razor Claw (red set) once again restores Wrath over time as intended.
  
• Fixed issues with Beorning's Bond of Trust, Honey Cleanse, and Desperate Shouts, which were not functioning correctly or consistently due to incorrect skill-type flags on many of their skills.
  
• Brawler's Umbari Armour of the Iron Fist's 4-set bonus will no longer proc off of Auto-attacks.
  
• Burglar's Sudden Diversion no longer inappropriately resets the cooldown of Touch and Go.
  
• Captain's Telling Mark should no longer toggle off when its target is temporarily debuffed by a Mariner's Marked Foes effect.
  
• Rune-keeper's Fulgurite and Molten Runestone damage is now correctly classified as Tactical, so it will not bypass Incoming Damage modifiers.
  
• Blackarrow's Explosive Arrow once again deals its intended damage.

Hello, Boxheads! We’re thrilled to introduce fresh game content that will enhance your gaming experience. Let’s dive into the details.

New Additions

1. Each role now has exclusive items, replacing the previous place items and throwns. Here are the details:
   
   • Gunfighter
     
     • Cluster Grenade: Throws an explosive that splits into multiple smaller grenades upon detonation.
       
     • Claymore: Explodes and scatters high-damage steel balls in a fan-shaped area in front.
   • Support
     
     • Molotov Cocktails: Creates a fiery area upon impact, continuously damaging and slowing down zombies. It also applies a vulnerability effect, significantly increasing the damage they take.
       
     • Explosion-Proof Sandbag: Has higher durability than fake walls and significantly reduces damage from explosive sources.
   • Sapper
     
     • High-Explosive Grenade: Slightly smaller blast radius than the original grenade but deals substantial damage.
       
     • Electric Trap: Can immobilize monsters while inflicting minor damage. Limited usage and can be attacked by devil.
   • Medic
     
     • Corrosive Barrel: Explodes, causing continuous bleeding and slowing down monsters hit.
       
     • Nano Enhancer: Place a medical box on the ground, granting a short-duration boost to movement speed, firearm firing rate, and max HP when picked up.
2. In-Game Score Incentive Mechanics
   For every 10,000 points earned, randomly boost one of the following attributes for all players by 5%: max HP, movement SPD, firearm firing rate, or HP recovery rate. Each attribute can be boosted up to 10 times.
   
3. New Challenge Mode
   Before starting a game, players can choose a challenge mode. In challenge mode, zombies gain buffs, and players receive a score multiplier. There are four challenge modes:
   1.5x zombie spawns, score × 1.25
   2x monster HP, score × 1.5
   2x monster damage, score × 2
   2.5x devil spawns, score × 2.5
   
4. Dynamic Accuracy Mechanics for Firearms:
   Prolonged use of a specific gun increases its deviation angle. Different firearms have varying durations. Higher accuracy, lower damage, or worse knockback effect firearms can be used for longer periods.
   
5. Effective Range Mechanism for Firearms:
   Hitting targets within the effective range grants a 25% damage bonus. Beyond the effective range, damage is reduced by 25%, and at extreme distances, shots miss. This damage multiplier is independent. For example, Gun X has an effective range of 8-10 units and a maximum range of 12 units.
   Within 8 units, damage increases.
   Between 8-10 units, damage remains unchanged.
   Between 10-12 units, damage decreases.
   Beyond 12 units, shots miss.
   Due to workload reasons, we will update the redrawn gacha cards as soon as possible, and the new card’s firearm values will match the actual values.

Changes

1. Weapon Switch Logic Optimization
   Removed weapon type switching keys; now use previous/next weapon keys. Numeric keys allow quick switching. The combined mouse and keyboard control users can use the mouse wheel to switch weapons.
   
2. Optimized the gacha interface operations
   Now you can use keyboard to control.
   
3. Supply Box Refill Logic Adjustment
   When the current weapon is a pistol, prioritize replenishing other weapons.
   
4. Support’s Bombardment Active Skill Adjustment
   After each bombardment, there will be an additional 3 small-scale bombardment.
   
5. Adjusted Firearm Ranges
   Adjusted the range of some firearms to match the new mechanics.
   
6. Enhanced Devil Destruction Logic Devils are now more effective at destroying place items and more intelligent when destroying.

Bug Fixes

1. Fixed bug related to shared screen visibility in two-player mode.
   
2. Fixed issues causing a black screen with specific graphics cards.
   
3. Fixed bug of throwns passing through walls.
