In this patch, the parameters for ships have been rebalanced.
  • The maximum thrust of one engine has been increased from 50 to 75 units.
  • The bearing load of one engine has been increased from 3 to 15 ship blocks.
  • The maximum angular velocity of one gyroscope has been increased from 50 to 150 units.
  • The bearing load of one gyroscope has been increased from 3 to 15 ship blocks.
  • Maximum ship speed increased from 50 m/s to 150 m/s

Also added functionality for looting chests: if you fly further than 2 meters, the interface will automatically close.

Known Issues
  • Some players may experience graphical glitches with the new AoE radius indicators on lower-end systems. We are actively working on a fix.
  • Interaction with certain newly introduced animals may cause unexpected behavior. Please report any inconsistencies.

AI changes
The ghost leviathan now has a better AI that makes it a bit more predictable.
Also the higher difficulty will affect the ghost leviathan too.

Video Settings
A new video setting was added to get rid of the screen distortion entirely, as you can see on the screenshot below.
Also turning off the distortion effect improves performance by A LOT on weaker PCs

The Crazy Hyper-Dungeon Chronicles - Latest modifications

Significant changes have been made since the Steam Demo release (with more to follow).

Content:
- Added 6 new levels (we're now at 21 levels done over 50 totals)

Gameplay:
- Implemented a defense system against magical attacks (which deal damage) in combat: you can dodge them by pressing at the right moment.



- Through special items or by drinking a particular potion, the hero can see the area visually controlled by enemies.



- Added a defense feature for some enemies who might retaliate by attacking the hero immediately if the player presses at the wrong moment.



- The crafting system now allows making multiple units of the same product at once.



- Changed the management of power cooldowns: they are immediately available after their effect ends (e.g., Focus) or after they have been used instantaneously (e.g., Preemptive Strike).

Cosmetics:
- Enhanced various dungeon levels: biomes are now (moderately and evenly) adorned with various graphical embellishments, from puddles on the ground to sewer bars, from cracks on the walls to bloodstains, etc., as in classic dungeon crawlers.

Future (upcoming):
- Changes to the rage accumulation system.
- Introduction of some variants for certain enemies to become more aggressive as levels increase.
- Introduction of new enemy attack and defense special moves.
- Removal of the Renegade (Adventurer) profile from the game (the fact that it has some features of other game profiles makes it interesting on paper but not in practice).

Dawnsbury Days - Dawnsbury Studios
  • Fixes the memory leak bug introduced in 2.45 where spending time in character editor in some cases would cause memory usage of the Dawnsbury Days process to build up. Eventually the game would stop responding or crash. This happened especially if you had the DawnniExpanded mod installed (through no fault of the mod itself, the fact that it happened to manifest with DawnniExpanded was by chance) or you had some specific feats or spells selected.

Hello everyone, we are Wabisabi Games, the developers of RKGK!
RKGK is our first game, and we’re so excited to be able to share it with all of you soon!

Wabisabi Games
We wanted to introduce ourselves to the players as you’re learning more about RKGK!

A shared love of video games, anime, manga, and street culture brought our four founders, Oscar Noriega, Anwar Noriega, Julio Zabre, and Esteban Lezama together. Wabisabi was brought together in Mexico, and now has developers coming together from seven different countries remotely all over the world.

While we took on work in advertising to build the studio up initially, our goal was always to create RKGK.

RKGK
RKGK is our love-letter to the things we grew up loving– anime, retro platformers, and our roots in graffiti culture.

“We always pay homage to everything we loved as kids that fueled our imagination, from graffiti and streetwear to anime and manga.”

Anime
The anime we watched as kids in the 80s and 90s made a profound impact on our lives. We loved the larger-than-life stories being told with their humor and relatability. The different styles and expression through this artistic medium was like nothing else we had seen.

You’ll see the art style in the main characters of RKGK heavily showcasing these vibrant colors, in contrast to the hand painted backgrounds nodding to 80s and 90s anime. The character proportions are heavily stylized to add emphasis to the graffiti in the universe, which is our main weapon and tool for the story of RKGK.


Watching anime in national tv was tough. One day you were watching episode 143 of your favorite show, and then next day pum... episode 1 again. Maybe this helped us grow the patience needed to make games.


3D Platformers
Growing up, we all played a lot of games, especially games from the golden era of 3D platformers. We fell in love with the genre: the larger-than-life villains, the puzzles, and the ability to figure out the quickest ways to overcome a smooth challenge.

We put a lot of focus on creating a single player experience that’s challenging but approachable to all, regardless of their familiarity with platformers. We’ve been working to make sure that Valah is responsive with a lot of varied actions that can be chained together for a unique experience.

We hope you find all the secrets in the game! (being fully transparent, there are some of us who still haven't.)


Graffiti
We have been exposed to the graffiti culture of Latin America our whole lives. In this culture there is an unmistakable honesty in its expression, where it can be a tool to inspire a thought, open minds, or reveal a history and emotion that can’t be shared with words or an image alone.
We worked with an amazing graffiti artist to develop the art you’ll be using to spread creativity back to Cap City.

This honesty inspired the purpose of RKGK and gave us the setting and story that we wanted to tell (with some cartoon-villain humor, of course!).

We cannot confirm nor deny some of us painted graffiti in real life. 🤐
