Changes in the new version:
* The game has fixed a number of minor bugs and translation errors.
* The game uses a new engine with more effective and in some cases sharper rendering.
* The game no longer supports custom user profile names (old profiles will retain their names).
* The game uses Steam API v1.55.
* Windows version requires Windows 10 or higher.
* Windows version no longer supports 32-bit executable.
* Windows version uses DirectX11 instead of DirectX9 with greatly increased efficiency.
* Windows and macOS versions have better support for windowed mode, and the game window can be resized.
* macOS version requires macOS 11 Big Sur or later.
* macOS version has universal binary and supports both Intel x86-64 and Apple Silicon.
* macOS version uses Metal instead of Open GL when running on Apple Silicon.
* macOS version uses AVFoundation instead of Open AL when running on Apple Silicon.
* macOS bundle is signed and notarized.

The old version of the game is still available under "legacy" beta branch. The old version can be run on Windows XP and higher (64-bit as well as 32-bit).

We’re back this week with our second deep dive into Thrones of Decay. Having royally infested ourselves with Nurgle’s blessing last time, we thought it appropriate to take a refreshing trip to the Gardens of Morr with the Empire’s latest Legendary Lord; Elspeth von Draken.

And though you may have heard some rumblings already, we’re delighted to confirm that Thrones of Decay will be releasing on the 30th of April.

The Puppeteer always takes care of his puppets, so he cut the prices of all health items by 30%.

Dear Queens Dear Kings,
We’re excited to roll out a collection of 15 unique twists on Thronefall’s core gameplay, based on your amazing submissions to the Quest Fair community event. Sure, you’ve played Thronefall — but have you played Throneball?

Since some of the new game modes alter the rules quite wildly we decided to package them in separate challenges (three for each region) that unlock after beating the region’s main level. They come with their own leaderboard, quests and a unique set of rules that can be found on the left side of the loadout selection screen.

In this post we highlight five of those modes (including the winners of the Quest Fair event) to give you a little overview of what to expect:


The Great Wall
Inspired by CaporalNico


Based on CaporalNico’s idea, you start with a fully upgraded wall and economy buildings in this mode. The wall is what’s keeping your throne from falling and it is only repaired by small amounts between nights, so protect it at all costs.

Just The Way They Are
Inspired by Gertimoshka

Inspired by Gertimoshka’s submission you suddenly have a sore throat and your units just won’t listen! Defend your castle with nothing but towers and units that do whatever they want. To make things even more challenging, you can’t bring a weapon.

One Man Army
Inspired by Hjorse Rider


This mode inspired by Hjorse Rider is pretty much the opposite of the last one. All you have are five royal forges to upgrade your stats to ridiculous levels. Demolish entire armies on your own.

Time Flies
Inspired by matan


You thought with Thronefall we eliminated the stress from the traditional RTS formula? Well, thanks to matan we now re-introduced it in this challenge. You have 20 seconds to prepare for the next wave each day before the night sets in automatically. Use your time wisely!

ThroneBall
Inspired by a silly pun



Oh no! You got stuck in a massive snowball again. Well… Perhaps you can use it to your advantage? Roll over enemies and make your foes wish they had never attacked the round ruler of these lands.

10 More Modes In-Game!And that’s not all! In the game you can discover ten more modes — from very challenging to very silly. Thank you so much for providing us with countless fantastic ideas. Have fun! We can’t wait to hear what you think.

Bug Fixes:

- Towers that are meant to attack the closest enemy actually do that correctly now. (Ooops)

- Fixed a bug that incorrectly reset the damage modifiers of shrines when continuing from a saved match.

- Fixed a bug that caused enemy archers not to attack in certain situations.

- Ring of Resurrection makes it so your own health resets to full health the first time you respawn as intended.

- Game no longer crashes when you have too many coins.

- King health bar is now always displayed above all other health bars.

- Heavy sword manual attack visual effect adjusted to better reflect its attack range and direction (this weapon will likely need some more attention in the future, this is a quick fix)

- Eternal trials loadout navigation fixed to always cycle in the correct direction.


Balance Changes:
- Ballistic Spire now ignores the "armored against ranged" tag on enemies. This means the ballistic spire deals +66% damage against battering rams. Other interactions should be unaffected.

- Heavy Sword splash area increased. Damage increased by +10% and by +40% against ranged units.

- Your berserks have additional resistance against fire and explosion damage (66% of explosion damage is blocked, 50% of fire damage is blocked)

- Flying wizards no longer keep attacking walls when no other priority targets are nearby.

- Rams have smarter targeting and no longer chase after pointless wall pieces.

- Implemented a tie-breaker mechanic that slowly deals damage to an enemy anywhere on the map if at least 60 seconds have passed since an enemy or a building was last destroyed (and no boss enemies are on the map). This is to reduce ridiculous wait times and soft-locks for edge cases only.

- Magic armor deals +20% more damage.

A small maintenance announcement from us at Flat Head: very soon we will be removing the demo from Steam. It's been a long time since the demo was updated, meaning it doesn't represent the current state of We Are One.

This means that, if you have the demo already, it will soon cease to function. A huge thank you to everyone who gave it a go. Unfortunately, continuing to update and support the demo would be a drain on resources that we can't afford right now. If you enjoyed the demo please support us and buy the full game :)

2024 Season 2 Patch 3 Release Notes [2024.04.16.04]
This Patch Release contains fixes and updates for the 2024 Season 2 Release.
Of special note, this Patch includes additional error logging for some of the ongoing crash issues many members have been experiencing and reporting. This Patch will allow us to collect additional information to help find a solution.


SIMULATION:--------------------------------------------------------------
Race Servers
Some additional crash logs may now be acquired from Replays.
Some logging parameters for Session failures have been updated.

Physics
The collision parameters and physics properties for various movable track objects, such as various types of cones, tire bundles, bollards, barrels, brake markers, and bales, have been consolidated and balanced for improved realism.
Some parameters for handling torque calculations have been adjusted for the Zippy Prevention code introduced in Patch 2.
Some additional divide-by-zero checks have been added to a few physics systems.

iRacing Weather System
Significantly updated a water flow equation for transitional periods between dry and wet. This provides a slightly smoother transition as rain falls, the track changes state from "lightly wet" to "moderately wet", and puddles begin to form.
Weather system code for processing drastic changes in weather over short periods have been updated.
The in-Simulation forecast wind direction calculations have been corrected.
Windshield wiper rain lines now render on opponent cars during a live Session, and render on all cars during Replays.
The maximum allowable amount of rain particles on windshields has been slightly reduced.
Windshield rain textures have been updated.
Fixed an issue where some raindrops would disappear at inappropriate times during a wiper swipe.

Graphics
Updates for a new version of PopcornFX to improve memory usage parameters.
Adjusted some processing scheduling and queuing for particle effects to improve processing.
Some additional crash logging has been added for PopcornFX processes.
Windshield texture mapping has been improved for rainy windshields.
Windshield particle effect processing code has been updated.
Fixed an issue where a GPU particle draw call could use the wrong rendering state/constants.
Fixed a spooky SSR issue where a Ghost Car that was in use for reference laps could cause large portions of your cockpit to not render whenever it was overlapping your car.

Audio
The Spotter Calls audio output has been adjusted to mix at 22050hz instead of 5512hz so that the Active Reset sounds we currently push through this channel will play back correctly.

Spotter - Foreign Language
The Italian - Renzo A. Olivieri spotter pack messages have been updated.

Super Formula Lights
Updated the drag and downforce aerodynamic calculations, particularly as related to front ride height adjustments. Some additional drag has also been added based on the front flap angle. In the garage, adjustments to both front and rear ride heights are now restricted.
A damage tuning pass has been completed which raised the stiffness and lowered the break limits for the nose and front wing, and lowered the mount stiffness for the dampers.
Fixed an error with the displayed RPM values for this vehicle’s engine.
Fixed a model error for damaged front sidepod and suspension.
iRacing setups have been updated.

[Legacy] Dallara DW12
Vehicle floor collision has been adjusted slightly to prevent bottom snagging.
iRacing setups have been updated.

Barney, Legendary Flagman, has finally arrived to flag races here!
Added configuration names to the in SIM user interface.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The mass of the arrow signs at this track have been dramatically reduced. They should no longer total cars on contact.

Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
Adjusted some gain-time checkpoints that were slightly too intrusive on the track limits.
(Alternate) - Added a missing track camera.

Winton Motor Raceway
(Club) - The standing start grid layout has been standardized.


Islands of the Caliph - MKSchmidt
Inventory Bug
Thanks to some fantastic player feedback I was able to resolve (I think) the inventory bug where moving and managing inventiory coudl cause stacked items to disappear. It turned out that pressing space more than once, when selecting the number of items caused the issue. It seems very obvious in hindsight, but I can say that this particular issue is resolved. If there is any other trigger that can cause inventory to vanish, I am not aware of it.

Unconscious message
The character falling unconscious would show a text explaining that you can either continue or load a saved game. Well I have updated this simple message to one that is a little more representative of the actual choice players are about to make,. I hope this helps!

By toggling it on in the Settings menu, profanity will be censored (in texts, King's voice lines, and by muting the music's lyrics) and gory scenes will be blurred out.
