We are proud to be a part of the triple-i initiative! And if you have already seen the showcase, you know that we just revealed something really exciting — talent trees!
…But first, the new goddess:
Ninh, Goddess of Earth
The World Peak is the highest point in the mortal realm, crossing the border between men and gods. It is this cosmic bridge that has allowed our heroes to travel into Death’s domain. As the Maker of Mountains and the Peak’s original creator, Ninh has been keeping an eye on their quest. Now that she has witnessed the heroes' persistence, she is ready to offer her blessings:
We’ll be revealing more of her abilities in our next dev log, so stay tuned! This will also be our last dev log, before the Act II update on April 20th.
Now, let’s jump back into our new skill trees:
Constellarium
We’ve replaced the simple signs with 30+ different talents for each hero. These will make characters feel and play unique, with multiple paths you can take for each one.
It all starts with Cosmic Essence:
This new resource will drop when bosses are defeated. You can get up to 36 essence for each hero, which is then spent in the Constellarium, to make the build you want.
Lets see what kind of builds we can make for Avoron, our Knight. We can start with a Classic Knight - focused on blocking and shielded in heavy armor:
First, we get a strong defensive core, with Bulwark, Stoicism and Hardened Steel. The last one synergizes with Tectonic Plating, boosting offensive capabilities. And the final point in Aegis gives you a glimpse of immortality!
We are also investing in the Vanguard tree, which allows us to block damage. Outflank gives us mobility, while Riposte and Avenger are powerful counter-attacks.
Now, when the knight blocks, he can become Exalted! This means +100% attack damage for some devastating swings!
This is just one way to build the knight. Lets try something else - a "Holy Knight", blessed by angelic power.
This time we have a different defensive package, focused on stopping negative statuses and Divine Protection + Guardian Angel combo.
Zeal, Conviction and Austere Training is our damage package, with Edge of Divinity for smiting the forces of Death!
And we have some points left for utility:
This completes our “Holy Knight” build!
However, some knights prefer to focus more on scholastic pursuits in the Great Library of Aulum. Here is a “Great Archon of Aulum” build:
This build shines when it comes to getting rare blessings from the gods! It also provides an alternate way to become Exalted and helps you find those rare and powerful locations!
Finally, here is a Champion build, focused on heavy-hitting attacks and divine powers!
Of course, you can mix and match all of those options to create something that works best for you!

Sky kids are a creative bunch, and the doors are about to open to a Season made just for that creativity. Starting on April 15th, Season of Nesting puts Sky kids front and center with a new location ready to be made into something truly special.
The Nesting Guide awaits players at the soon-to-open Nesting Workshop in Aviary Village. Head over to see the Seasonal items that can be unlocked—special display stands offer cosmetics and, especially, wood-crafted furniture and decor to use in your Nest and Shared Spaces…or perhaps in other environs for those who enjoy both interior and exterior design.
Season Pass holders will be able to unlock two Ultimate Gifts from the Nesting Guide, too: an outfit appropriate for a creative craftskid, and a special figurine that can both be used as a prop, and to switch outfits when you’re away from your closet. Pick any outfit items from your closet to display on the figurine. You can place the figurine anywhere from your Nest to your favorite realms, and Sky kids who pass by who also own the cosmetics the figurine is wearing can switch their outfits to match!
A Shared Space shrine in the workshop has also been set aside for you to set up in whatever style you want, or browse the workshop setups that other players have imagined.
Create Your Personal Nest
As for the Nesting Guide themselves, you’ll want to take on the Seasonal Quests they have for you—help them with the quests, and they’ll help you unlock your own personal Nest! This cozy spot will be yours to design however you like.
Add your favorites from the wooden seasonal furniture set to make a cozy nook, perfect for recovering from a busy day of Dark Dragon wrangling. Or perhaps you’ll make it into the perfect spot for a sculpture exhibit. Or maybe it’s where you’ll create the most chaotic jungle gym that Sky kids have ever seen outside of the Trial of Earth (hey, we don’t judge!).
Privacy settings allow you to welcome friends for a visit, too, so when you’re feeling social, throw a chill house party and show each other the designs and sculptures you’ve put together (or make them try out that chaotic jungle gym—like I said, we don’t judge).
And when you need a quieter break without all the honking, just set your Nest to private mode to watch a peaceful sunset over Aviary Village from your windows with your plants and plushies.
New Permanent Features
Players have asked for a version of Sky homes for a long time, and we wanted to bring them in with extra features that wouldn’t be limited to just one Season. So here are a couple things coming with Season of Nesting that you’ll be able to enjoy at your pace as you play the game.
Nesting Challenges
Nesting Challenges are a permanent addition to Sky and can be accessed once you start the third Seasonal Quest. There are three categories of challenges displayed on a board in the Nesting Workshop, each with their own tree. Once all challenges in a tree are completed, a unique interactive item becomes available to unlock for in-game currency.
Some challenges are focused on (appropriately enough) your Nest, while others can be done out in the realms. These are entirely separate from the Season, so they can be completed over time as you play the game in your style and on your own schedule!
Stone Furniture & Decor Set
Once the Nesting Workshop opens in Aviary Village, we’re introducing yet another permanent addition to Sky: a rotating selection of stone-made furniture and decor. We think the seasonal set of items is pretty spiffy, but having a range of options is fun too, so we wanted to make sure Sky kids had a choice of what to unlock for their Nests.
The stone furniture set contains more than 50 items, offered at the front counter of the Nesting Workshop. Since this set is a permanent addition to the game, items can be unlocked over time using a variety of in-game currency, similar to the cosmetics offered by the base game constellation Spirits.
Between this set and the seasonal items, you’re bound to find something that fits your Nest. But that said, if you eventually find yourself wanting something a little different than the items we’ve introduced in this news post…well, for now we’ll just say that this is a feature we have more plans for, so stay tuned for future updates!
A Place for You and Your Creativity
With so many new offerings to use in your Nest (and Shared Spaces, and maybe Eye of Eden picnics for the chaotically inclined), this Season offers all kinds of room for creative expression. The Nesting Guide, fellow Sky kids, and your imagination are inviting you to build something that is uniquely yours. On April 15th, take to the skies to make Season of Nesting your very own!
Today we are releasing Start11 v2 2.07 with improvements to Windows 11 compatibility for future releases. You can download the new build by opening Start11 v2 configuration panel, clicking About, and checking for updates.
With this release, we are primarily focusing on improvements to animations on the taskbar and squashing a few bugs that have been reported by the community. Also in this release, we are improving stability for complex search queries as well as a continued focus on the upcoming release of Windows that is currently known as Windows 11 24H2.
Later this year, Microsoft will be releasing as significant update to Windows 11 that is referred to as 24H2 and as part of this release, it looks like Microsoft will be removing legacy code from the OS. The removal of this code is impacting any Windows 11 application that leveraged this functionality but Start11 and Start11 v2 are not impacted.
This is important because Microsoft has started pushing app compatibility blocking notifications to devices that are running these applications and stopping them from upgrading. Any customer running Start11 or Start11 v2 should not see these notifications.
After installing the latest update, let us know if you encounter any issues with the application or have any feedback about what features we should add next. Many of the newest features of Start11 v2 were developed because of the direct feedback we have received in our forums.
Today we are announcing Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns, our second collab DLC, made in collaboration with the KONAMI's Contra team!
You might have noticed a couple of very obscure hints in Vampire Survivors about how much we admire and remember fondly playing all the iconic game series sparked by KONAMI over the years, which is why when we got the opportunity to work with their Contra team we took it immediately!
It's been surreal and a lot of fun to retrieve old memories of playing Contra with randos at the arcade, or with friends on a home console, and reinterpret them in a Vampire Survivors sauce. In fact we got a bit carried away and added more content to the DLC pack than initially planned, trying to pick & mix some of the old and some of the new, some of the obvious and some of the unexpected.
This was yet another dream come true for many in our team, so thank you all for your continued support and making this a reality!
Will the agents of the Contra Force resist the urge to join the Vampire Survivors in their doomed search for a vampire? No.
Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns content
We started with the usual number of characters and weapons in mind when developing this content pack, but it's been very difficult to work with such constraints when dealing with such an iconic series like Contra. So we did the only logical thing, make more:
11 gun-slinging characters
22 new weapons between base versions and evolutions. They're not all guns - some of them trigger explosions too!
1 large stage and 1 bonus stage
13 music tracks directly from the Contra series and 6 brand new covers
As usual the DLC will add a new stage in Stage Selection, from where you'll be able to start the chain of unlocks to get the new characters and weapons.
Most characters will offer cross-stats benefits for players who like min-maxing, and will be able to find special pickups typical of the Contra series, like Grenades or RapidFires.
Most weapons will have a damage output slightly lower than usual to try paying a little homage to the historically high difficulty of the Contra series, but also there will be a lot Arcana interactions to customise the difficulty to your liking. In the same spirit, there are several weapons that require some aiming or that follow the typical arcade 8-angle constraints when firing.
While we like to joke about the concept of just adding a ton of guns, actually there will also be melee weapons and most of the new projectiles are rather unusual.
Finally, yes, the silly racing-stage seen in the trailer is real and will be playable!
PlayStation
We're finally in a position to make an unsurprising announcement about Vampire Survivors coming to PlayStation, in a time interval vaguely defined as Summer 2024! We're doing the ports ourselves just like the others, so we took our sweet time to get here, but in this way we can keep the low price and the parity of content, so it's better in the long term. We're doing a port for PS4 and another for PS5. We can't make any promises yet, but hopefully we'll have cross-save publicly available by then too.
FAQs
Will the main game still receive free updates? Yes, we're doing free content updates as usual. In fact there will be one happening around the end of the month! (it will be available on the public-beta branch on Steam in minutes 👀)
22 new weapons and evolutions?! My level-up pool! We're adding one more Seal power-up in the next free content patch, so don't worry, you'll still be able to easily manipulate the level-up pool.
More DLC FAQS While most of the contents of the DLCs are straightforward, being a collab there are some differences. For example, there are no Steam achievements and the 6 music covers won't be available in the Soundtrack on Steam, so please read the FAQs here for more info: https://poncle.games/operation-guns
