We're taking a look at some of the new Space Junkers Blocks AND THEN showcasing some of the awesome Techs that the TerraTech Community have been building.
In this new update, we're focusing on adding more variety to the challenges that you're going to encounter. In addition, we've added a selection of new buildings and artifacts that will allow you to support a bigger variety of builds, especially when it comes to harvesting and creating resources!
New Threat : Fires!
Draugr can now raid your camp, setting fire to some buildings. Each turn, the fire will spread. After 3 turns, buildings on fire will be destroyed. You can stop the fires by building a Might building adjacent to it. Before you decide to ignore the fire spreading, make sure Skidbladnir is safe!
New Cards
Resource Creation
We're empowring a new playstyle based on resource exploitation with this update. Your first new tool allows you to create new resources.
Enhancers
Another type of building we're adding are the Enhancers. They don't do anything when placed, but they'll amplify any future exploitation. Draft wisely!
Versatility
Finally, two other small additions to complete your builds. Arsenal is especially good to convert your extra Might at the end of an island!
Artifacts
This update we took a lot of your ideas and made them into artifacts! Here's a few from the 7 new artifacts that were added :
New Island Modifiers :
Island modifiers have been expanded! When playing at higher difficulties, instead of having many difficulty modifiers on island, you’ll instead have fewer harder modifiers. To make this possible, we’ve added new modifiers and new versions of existing modifiers!
In total, we've added over 10 new Island Modifiers. Take a Look!

Expanded the Panic Cards with multiple versions and new Art!
Added new art for artifact “Conqueror's Looking-Glass”.
Added an option to add a delay on tooltip appearance.

Bug Fixes & Balance
Balance
Swift keyword now only makes you draw on the last use of the card. Previously, this made Swift too strong on cards with multiple uses, making it pointless to add it to other cards.
Thrasir’s “Man of Action” power supplies gained increased (10 → 15)
Added Farm's upgraded version.
Added Salvager's upgraded version.
Made fishing nets a lot easier to place. They can also be placed on higher grounds now.
Events in Asgard now have more turns inbetween them, making the beginning less intense.
Dead ends in Asgard now have a little more resources to make them more worthwhile to explore.

Before we dig into the actual devlog, we need to inform you that today’s topic- the in-game animals will be split into two parts because of the sheer amount of information we’d like to cover. 📝
Today, we’ll talk about what animals will make their appearance in Animal Shelter 2, what are the ways of acquiring them to your shelter, their preferences and adoption. In part 2, likely in 1 to 3 months time, we’ll tell you more about their health, possible health issues, means of treatment and what impact on animals and their future owners chronic diseases will have. 🤯 As you can see, there’s a lot to talk about so without further ado, let’s dig into it! 🤩
For quite some time you’ve been expressing just how much you want to have not only the cute, lively puppies and kittens 🐈 as alternative to the adult animals but also older, calmer senior animals. Today we’re happy to officially confirm- in Animal Shelter 2 there will be animals of all ages! 🔥
Animals in your shelter 🐶
As we’ve already mentioned, there are multiple ways the animals can arrive in your shelters. Recently, we’ve described the most common one- sending a rescue car via your tablet. This is the mechanic that players who took part in the Playtest are familiar with. 🙂 Another way is to carry out an intervention. There are multiple different causes for an intervention like for example a kitten stuck in some place like a drain.
Once the animal arrives at your shelter it will require their own private space. Just as it happens in Animal Shelter 1, the animals are hungry and thirsty after arrival so don’t forget to show them some love and feed them well. Some belly scratches afterwards wouldn’t go unnoticed as well. ❤️
At this point, there are some additional activities which would be reasonable to do as soon as possible. One of those is taking a blood sample for a check up. After all, a neglected animal is likely to have a disease of some sort and it’s only for the best when it receives the medical attention it needs as soon as possible. 👍
Every animal which lives in your shelter, whether it’s an energetic youngster, adult or senior, will have their preferences in many aspects such as favorite toy, the best petting spot or food. 🥫
By following those preferences you’ll receive bonus points to the animal's respective status meters. For example, playing with a doggo using its favorite toy will make its fun status rise quicker. 🐕 And while ignoring this little piece of information while playing does not bring any negative consequences,
it’s very important to keep a close track of all the animals’ feeding preferences because feeding an animal food other than the preferred one may lead to some diseases- usually because of their food allergies. 😿
Adoption 👱
As you might have already guessed, the chance for an animal to get adopted quickly will be impacted by various factors. The most important one being the age. Usually kittens and puppies will be able to find new homes much quicker than the senior animals, who’ll need more time before finding their new carrying owners.
Another important factor altering the chances of adoption are the chronic diseases but if you’re interested in this topic you’ll have to look forward to part 2 because this is the end of today’s devlog.

The Powerup Pack 2 passives and ship modifiers have been completed, and are now ready for combat. Get your builds ready!
Once again, to be able to use the new passives, unlock them by doing specific achievements listed on the weapon database. Once unlocked, these will be available in the support shop to be bought during your current run.
The new passives consist of:
Combination Craft - Grants bonuses when in combat with the Support Craft
Critical Jump - An emergency evasion when taking too much damage
Glitch Protocol - Screen-wide chance to stun enemy ships
Particle Capacitor - Firing energy weapons gains charge that can create a protective barrier
Remote Signal Booster - Improves drone weapon performance and deploy count
System Guard - Chance to ignore harmful status effects and hazard damage
VIP Powercard - Grants additional effects when picking up Power Ups
...for a total of 7 new passives! Hope the new additions strengthen your ship builds!
As for the ship modifiers, get them from the Transportal, or finishing a game mode with a certain number of Requisition Points remaining.

A batch of QoL adjustments, and some balancing changes. The highlight of this update is the new button to speed up battles.
Additions

Boss enemies have had their health increased.
Hard mode difficulty and rewards have been doubled. Previously, the challenge wasn't really felt too much. This should make it more apparent.
Minor UI layout adjustment on story battle selection.

Dialog typo fixes.
Guides are now ordered properly when reviewed in the menu.
What's next?
I've been working hard on the new game mode, 'Challenge'. I'm finalizing the new feature now and it should be available in the coming weeks. In this game mode you will face randomized waves of enemies with bosses. It has a greater risk, but also comes with greater reward.
