I don't like having to wait so long between releases, but every once in a while it'll be necessary just due to the nature of software development. In this case, it was due to some much-needed refactoring of the way input is handled alongside its associated state machine(s). I'm happy with how it turned out, though, resolving many potential input-related issues and opening the door to better device support across the board.
There's also a new way to share feedback about the game directly with me. Just launch the game and look for the feedback button in the top-right of the screen.

Multiple keyboards can now be used without interfering with one another
Controller d-pad and/or right analog stick can now be used to steer the car
Menu key on controller can now be used to go back to the main menu

It's been a year and a half since the release of HOSPICE Vol. 1
And no, it's not HOPSICE Vol. 2, and no, there won't be any settings menu there.
On November 24, 2022, HOSPICE Vol. 1 saw the light of day, my first game on Steam. And honestly, it's my dream to develop games for others. Just think about it. 28,000 copies spread worldwide, and I'm very grateful to everyone who played.
So, what's next? The game that will be released later this month is not a visual novel. It's something bigger for me. It's my letter of gratitude to the person who inspired me to make games.
That person is Scott, Scott Cawthon. A well-known figure, isn't he? (smiley)
I would be very happy if you played it and even happier to read your review. Game development is an interesting part of the process, but seeing your screenshots and comments is the most fun. Even a Let's Play was made for HOSPICE Vol. 1, and it's for a "questionable" visual novel, like mine (teeth)

First of all, thank you for the enthusiasm for this first week of HMS! It is heartwarming!
So for this first patch, we corrected a few bugs, notably display bugs, as well as the online scoreboard.
Also, it was pointed out to us that it was a shame not to have more skin for lactomans since the size of the farm is limited to 10 anyway (Thanks Sarah). So our teams are working on more skin, in the meantime we've tinkered with something, I hope you like it!!
