Mythic - Porogami
Hi all,

We have an important update about the future of Mythic to share with you today.

Mythic was a passion project for us from the beginning, and we quit our jobs in 2022 to focus on finishing the game. We were hoping that we would earn enough money from the launch to let us pay rent and keep working on Mythic, and even hire an artist to help with future content.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us at launch by buying and playing Mythic. We made enough to just keep the servers on, but not enough to do more beyond that. The Mythic servers have been on since launch, but almost a year and half later, our funds have finally dwindled down to the point where we can no longer afford the server upkeep. So, we have made the very difficult decision to sunset Mythic.

Mythic's servers will continue running till the end of this month and will be turned off permanently on May 1st.

Hypersomnia - Pythagoras of Samos
The app would sometimes close on its own when alt-tabbing.
HRTF would sometimes show as unsupported for headphones that report themselves as 7.1 (the ones using DTS 2.0, e.g. Logitech PRO X Wireless Gaming Headset). HRTF should now be enabled on all headphone models increasing gaming comfort.

Hey all! Just a small update here to push a few bug fixes (including one critical one that can break the game in rare instances). Here's the change list:

  • fixed: the AI would get locked into an infinite loop when swimming with proc gen units generated with the Swimmer trait.
  • fixed: the counterattacks icon did not display correctly when providing in-shop explanations for why characters wanted Vengeful weapons.
  • fixed: a range error occurred when a stone golem threw a flying character.
  • completely overhauled the way the game deals with parabolic movement to improve performance on slower systems (and to thereby avoid weird issues with assassin Leap arcs visibly lagging behind everything else).
  • overhauled the game's dodge animations so that they, like the new parabola animations, are driven purely by code and math, and so perform much better on older machines.
  • rewrote the way that the game times combat sequences to end after zooming out the combat camera so as to avoid issues arising from the slowdown in Unity animations on lower-end machines.
  • cleaned up the timing on character "hop" animations when changing elevation.
  • received a revised smile for the blacksmith portrait. (The original was just too awkward to use.)
  • balance change: reduced the number of green allied caravan guards that spawn during caravan defense missions from 4 to 3.
  • balance change: reduced the chance of a Whetstone appearing in the shop during a given visit from 33% to 10%.
  • fixed for version 0.6.11a: due to recent changes in the AI code, the game would throw a null error if an enemy drowned to death at the start of the AI's turn.
  • fixed for version 0.6.11b: it was possible for an AI-controlled character with a preferred area tag and no viable moves to remain on the "calculate a move" list forever despite having no viable moves, thereby preventing the computer from ever ending its turn.

I'll be focused on creating new battles for the update proper near the end of the month. Until then!

Autonomous Anarchy - TomKnocker44
Hey Everyone,

We just released a small update for the Autonomous Anarchy Demo. This update fixes an issue that caused the buttons on the game over screen to not work when using keyboard input.

Titan Outpost - Franky
A lot of improvements and bugfixes, from dejankification and quality of life stuff to fixes for some really obscure issues and quest logic.

Including new (actual) voice for Adanech and ladder animations. Special thanks to Technomancer for the detailed bugreports. Spoiler alert.

Gameplay
  • Pigeon Friend is now available! Start the quest by interacting with it in the Animal Center. A total of 13 items successfully delivered is required to complete the quest.
  • Hersha’s Bakery open and Cooking system in place (new saves created from this version only).
  • New cooking items and equipment
  • New Crops - Wheat/rice
  • Quest added from Hersha (day 11) that unlocks the cafeteria mini game which runs twice a season (every 15th and 30th)
  • Cooking recipe books added - donate new dishes to the basement in the bakery.
  • Normal and Moat farm layouts size reduced - this may cause a lot of issues with older maps making all objects that were cropped off unuseable/inaccessible, very sorry about this!
  • Added chefs poster set - 5 in total, get one after each recipe category is completed.
  • New Alpaca color - Black Alpaca. Not purchasable, only obtainable by completing the entire cooking collection in the bakery.
  • New cutscene - Hersha’s Bakery - unlocked after completing the Desserts cooking set.

Backend
  • Dungeon map rendering optimized for performance
  • Change versioning system for control of features available in each version.
  • Legacy old map support removed, those on this map will be migrated to “Normal Map”


Balance
  • Evaporator cost changed to 50 points in Virtual labyrinth
  • Skilled merchant max eatable card level reduced to 5 (from 7)
  • Skilled Farmer/fisher/miner chances for double items reduced from 15% per level to 10% per level.
  • Increased Greenhouse cost from 6,000 > 12,000.
  • Slightly reduced critter spawn chances further in some areas


Bugs Fixed
  • “Fire Syrup” corrected to “Fire Essence” in quest description for Aft Rune
  • When trying to pick up an item you cannot take, the currently held item in your hand no longer visually disappears.
  • Fixed all missing non-breaking space characters in other languages showing up as BOXes



Known Issues:
  • Audio not working in Linux build
  • Animals being able to squeeze through fence gaps. Animal pathing stuck on steps.
  • Daisy and Cedric standing up in bench
  • Monsters moving incredibly fast (Anyone else beside MuffinMages experiencing this? Please report)
  • Controller mappings reset on computer restart
  • Some buttons not working in co-op mode/remote play before/during tutorial
  • Seeds and trees can be placed on and grow through rugs placed outside
  • Fences don’t tile correctly with T shape is created
Windowkill - torcado
Note to linux users reporting stuttering, please try enabling the "limit fps" option, this seems to solve the issue for most users.
