- Fixed cardbomb breaking the match state. - End game screen now directly transitions back to the lobby instead of leaving players in the match screen.
Continuing on from the "lumber mill props" added last update, this next update adds some more props and features themed around a western town! This includes new buildings, props, and a new wooden tunnel style.
As you might have seen mentioned previously, all these updates are working towards a big map set in the Sierra mountains and the California logging industry in the early 1940s. This map is going to be Rolling Line's first ever expansion (almost 6 years after the games release). More details will be coming in the future about this expansion, but for now here's some new props added to the game while i've been in the process of making the town of Tuolumne, California!
Old western buildings
Firstly, a modular hotel building:
A set of classic street-side shops:
And a church:
Also a bunch of props, including shop-front signs, wood planks, hitching posts, etc:
New wooden tunnel style
This tunnel can be added from the popup track-style menu, or using the new painters in the "track tools" drawer. You can make a single-track tunnel or a double-track tunnel (by adding walls to each side on the two lanes of track). There are also snappable tunnel portals for single and double track tunnels:
More mill props
A few new props added to the "buildings -> mill" drawer, these include a new modular water tower as well as a wooden "sand chute" building:
Other minor fixes/features also include:
Added snapping to all double-track tunnel portals
Added placement ghost arrow to all tunnel portals
Improved collision on several wooden debris pile props
Moved several props around to clean up drawers, there is no longer the bizarre "props -> warf" drawer, these props have been moved to "vehicles -> boats" and "buildings -> Western"
Added a couple of new church window props
Sierra logging layout preview!
While this is still massively work-in progress, here are a few sneak previews of parts of the map that I have been working on! There will be much more info released about this map in the future.
First off, I want to apologize for not being as attentive to Farmburgh and some of its issues as I should have.
A few months after the game release, my life got really busy with a new job amongst other things. As of December, I had made Farmburgh free on Steam while officially ending developer support. I never saw Farmburgh as being a fully completed game, but I no longer had the time to maintain it. I made it free so that more people would be able to enjoy the thing I'd put my heart and soul into for over a year.
With the influx of new players, there were some more bugs discovered that I largely ignored until now. I do apologize for ignoring those because some of them made the game unplayable.
This was not my intent, so this week, I had made the effort to tackle a few of the major ones to make Farmburgh playable. Specifically, the issue of level unlocks not saving properly. This issue is now fixed, and those who were affected will have their Level Points appropriately refunded.
While fixing these bugs, I did find the motivation to add a few new crops and decorations. While these will not be a part of this smaller update, they will be releasing (hopefully) within the next week!
Thank you all for playing and for your continued patience!
Patch Notes
Unlocks bought with LP will now save properly. LP that has been wasted has now been refunded.
When removing buildings, crafting stations now properly refund resources and animals are returned to storage.
Thanks to those reporting issues and for your patience as we improve things. I just put out a quick small patch. I will continue to patch things as they pop up!
Here are the few things I changed for v0.2.2
Spawners on the surface is fixed (you might need a new world - sorry!)
Sky regions now properly only cost 1 Void Matter (again you'll need a new world for this)
Oil Slime spawner is now guaranteed to spawn on the surface of starting region
Recipe Icons on machines (alt) now update correctly when changing the recipe
Removed Martial Essence from the Foldery (It's coming in a future update!)
