WHAT'S CHANGED - Check out the patch notes below:
PATCH NOTES
FEATURES Increased creature autonomy: after learning first to swim and then to seek out targets, creatures enter a life stage in which they are more autonomous in their decision-making, attempting to fulfill their individual needs.
The following new behaviors are now available to creatures:
Finding shelter and resting
Building nests
Feeding on insects on the water surface
Gathering food to bring to their offspring
Playing and socializing, chasing each other or knocking stones around
Swimming in schools
Bioluminescence
Song
Pitch and volume envelopes for each note in a song are specified in the genetic code, so songs will evolve as the species does.
Reworked creature fertility and energy so that the odds of survival and number of offspring is less influenced by random factors.
Creatures now remember the locations of food seen while exploring.
FIXES
Improved line-of-sight checks before creatures resort to pathfinding to prevent cases where creatures swim far up because their target is behind a small bump.
Fixed some errors with line of sight checks that could result in creatures not seeing food/mates that actually should have been visible.
Fixed error where color comparisons could be incorrect when checking how well a creature blends in with its environment.
Fixed error where bilateria spawn preset had incorrect 4x lifecycle count by default.
Hey Custodians, we've just rolled out a minor hotfix update. This update addresses an issue where Tier 18's icon on the Expeditions Reward Track was displayed as a white square and couldn't be equipped upon unlocking it.
As some of you might have noticed, we're taking a bit of a break from the ATOM series by dipping our toes into our next favorite cRPG genre: low-magic fantasy with Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy.
While not related to ATOM (at least on the surface... wink-wink) Swordhaven is as near and dear to our hearts as any of our previous games. We really hope it establishes us as more than a one-note developer and helps us get on a new technical level with all of our upcoming projects. There are plenty of improvements in Swordhaven that are already spotted by the players of the free demo we put out: better dialogue, improved combat mechanics, a richer skill system, graphics-related innovations and more. This is why we are sure that if you enjoyed ATOM and Trudograd you might just find your next cRPG fix in Swordhaven before we begin ATOM 2 in the future.
We're currently running a Kickstarter campaign for Swordhaven, so please feel free to check it out, at least for the comprehensive explanation of what it's all about and a free playable demo on the campaign page.
Commanders, We extend our heartfelt thanks for all the feedback provided over the past day. In the upcoming period, we are dedicated to actively releasing updates, addressing issues according to priority, and swiftly enhancing your gaming experience.
Patch note: Game Pacing Adjustments: Resource drops from defeating Harvesters have been increased from 1 to 3 points. The power boost from skipping target zones has been decreased. Defeating Harvesters now has a chance to drop materials. In Tour Mode, Tanks may randomly drop turret parts. Fuel consumption for entering Endless Mode has been lowered. The issue of slow acquisition of machine gun turrets in the Woodland area has been improved.
Game Experience Adjustments: We have fixed the bug where continuous firing with the left mouse button would not activate the automatic reload feature. The duration of the item detection function via the Outpost Core has been enhanced. Additional tutorial hints have been implemented in the Canyon area. The default setting for room online visibility has been changed to "Private." The initial XEN provided in the Resurgence mission has been switched to Spray. Mission NPCs now have identifying markers. The quipment logs has been introduced. The position of the initial generator has been adjusted (This update will not affect outposts that have already been edited). On Recovery Day in Old Axizus, the tank on the left path will no longer prioritize targeting the Advanced Artillery Cannon on the high ground; it will instead prioritize the outpost.
Bug Fixes: We have resolved several instances of game freezing. The issue where adjusting the sensitivity options did not affect the sensitivity of mech piloting has been fixed. The issue where equipping the same types of XEN caused the UI to display identical cooldowns has been rectified. The issue that allowed the elevator in "Laboratory 11" to be subjected to repeated interactions, causing irregularities, has been fixed. We have attempted to fix the mission flow deadlock in Operation Starfall caused by prematurely crafting ammo crates. The abnormal animation behavior of the character Levy has been addressed. Errors in dialogue texts have been corrected. We have resolved the abnormal audio-visual performance during interactions with Juliette. A bug in the Find Monica mission where trees on the map could be harvested twice has been fixed. Attempts have been made to fix the black screen issue with the outpost editing interface. The progression block in some Base Missions has been fixed. Incorrect NPC names in the Resurgence mission have been rectified. In Endless Mode, the issue where client players could not see Portable Building Parts provided by the Promethean Core has been resolved.
