I am excited to announce that Tower Song's haunting soundtrack will soon be available for purchase on Steam - and by soon I mean 4 April 2024!
The soundtrack will be sold with the full game as a discounted bundle, as well as on its own. Existing players who already own the game and love the sounds will want to grab the soundtrack when its released, as it will also launch at a discounted price!
Making the soundtrack with our composer, Will Aleshire, was a special part of this journey for me that I am really excited to share with everyone! (I won't lie, I am also excited to get it on my phone for my own listening.)
Sorry for the delay on this one, grinding out a system for 'special locations' in the void -- something is in place now, it just takes a while because I like the idea of them having unique lore-specific enemies, which all have to get created
The hope is to keep pushing these updates and leave early access May 7, lots to do. Thank you everyone for playing, you bring honor to this little niche project, I'm still feeling a lot of gratitude and delight from this
A special location will now be generated on a random peripheral tile in the Void, currently: blood-void, mind-warren, forbidden trod, with some themed enemies & extra treasures
Added more stars to the void
Added Rebel Jambiya, void knife that doubles the target's highest harmful effect
Tengu now also deals 50 lightning damage to a random enemy on attack
Qamar no longer reduces Stasis stacks, now removes Stasis on game turn
Master Teleport no longer reduces Stasis stacks, heal scaling increased (may get merged with astrostoicism)
Psychonaut no longer reduces stasis stacks, removes stasis on dealing Astral damage
Inuqqa reworked, now increases Death damage by 1% per stack of freeze on yourself and the target, and applies freeze to you when you deal death damage, grants protection from damaging freeze-triggered effects
+1 range to staff of astrostasis
serpent chakram now grants a a random ally +20 speed, instead of +5 to all allies (was slowing down mass summon builds)
Eresh 3rd prayer now applies 25 doom to you and summons a MawEresh, no longer deals damage
Worm 1st prayer now applies 20 corrosion to you
Worm applies less corrosion
Agara stand still range reduced to 2
Hadad applies less charge
Yu 3rd prayer no longer divided by Speed
removed some of the damage events from getting processed on allies that are immune to your damage
made some multi-tile effects simultaneous in fast mode
tightened up some more of the gampead stuff, Y always exits out of popup / menus and some other things

Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord - Dant.Rambo
Friends and adventurers, we sincerely hope you find this massive March of the Mad Overlord update to have been worth the wait. We've spent the first quarter of 2024 bringing many planned features and upgrades into the game; here's what you can look for when you return to the Maze…
Improved Graphics All 10 levels of the Maze now have received a significant visual upgrade. Please take notice of the cleaner textures and improved visuals as you run for your life, desperately searching for the gorgeously rendered exit. And Levels 6-10 now use a secondary tileset!
New Music Winifred Phillips has composed several new tracks for Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord, including a refreshed version of the original theme that console players remember and love. You'll also hear pieces specific to locations in town and special cues on certain in-game activities.
Enemy Animations Creating detailed, fluid animations for all 101 enemies has taken quite a bit of time, but after hundreds of hours of work by our artists, this feature is finally complete. All foes in the Maze are now fully animated!
Console Levels Many console players missed the alternate layouts for levels 6, 7, and 8, so we have added these as user-selectable options.
Hide & Ambush In the Japanese 16-bit console compilation of Wizardry, thieves and ninja could hide and ambush during combat, even when situated in the back row. This feature is now on by default, but can be toggled off in the Old-School Options menu.
Treasure Details The Bestiary, which offers a reference guide to all the creatures your party encounters in the Maze, now also includes a guide to what types of treasure you can expect any given enemy to drop.
Achievements Steam players will find 28 achievements, representing a wide array of activities throughout your adventure. From character leveling to spellcasting to money management, you'll find plenty of satisfying milestones!
Save Icon It's a small detail, but you'll now get a visual indicator of when the game is saving your progress. Keep a watchful eye for the parchment inscription icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
And More As always, various tweaks have been applied and bug have been squashed, including fixing the issue with the Gold Key.
We've come a very long way since we launched this project in early access just six months ago. Your continued feedback remains valuable as we continue working toward version 1.0, so please do keep posting your reactions and suggestions in the forums. We appreciate it. See you next update!
Added some camera shake to jumping, braking, and dying in the game for a better game feel.
Implemented a bug detector in the game. It will alert users if a bug occurs and will let you copy them and you can send that error message to me via steam or via email,.
