Hey everyone!! The biggest update Carnaval Simulator has yet received is still work in progress: The Grand Expansion Update (1.1). This update will contain new content and a bunch of bug fixes (especially rotations making them user-friendly). The update includes an overall massive improvement of the game hence its name. All updates for Carnaval Simulator are heavily influenced by the community's wants and needs and are combined with the vision I have for the game. So if you have any wishes or suggestions, make sure to let us know on Discord! Without further ado, let's show what's to come in the upcoming update!
Fountain Fireworks
Just like in real life, some floats both at day time and at night use fountain fireworks to impress its audience. The upcoming update will include 2 types of fountain fireworks: regular & large. The large one can only be placed once per float. These are high-level items, akin to other show elements such as smoke machines.
Colorable lasers
While adding new content is really fun, sometimes it's also crucial to return and update some of the existing items. The option to change the colors of lasers has been added, enhancing customization options for lights. More customizations for lights are in the planning stages.
New Smoke
Speaking of smoke, smoke effects have received a massive graphical update, enhancing realism and interaction with colorful lights. In real-life, I love seeing the smoke being used in combination with colorful lights so of course I had to find a way to make this possible. It's far more realistic overal including the way it floats around.
Old smoke:
Letters & Numbers
A very much requested feature is the ability to add letters to your float. All the letters of the latin alphabet have been added. Now you can spell things out or use them in a very creative manner. And of course, when I added the letters, why not add the numbers?
Confetti
Players can now throw confetti for added interaction in first-person mode, providing an enjoyable and fun addition to gameplay. This fun little gimmick ended up to be way more enjoyable to play with than I expected. And yes, you can spam click to throw a lot of confetti.
New flags
Additional flags representing major German Carnival cities will be included in the update.
Water
Water has been added to Farmlands. Not a major feature, but I love how it turned out visually. I don't wanna say too much about the future, but let's say it's gonna be reused in some way or another ;)
And much more!!
The full update log will be released as soon as the update hits, featuring numerous additions, changes, and fixes. Currently, developement is focussed on the long promised customizable front cart as well as a revamped score system. Additionally, more characters and other props are being worked on for further creative possibilities. When will this update hit? It will take a few weeks to finalize the update. It is expected to be released around Easter, but it may arrive later in April. I will keep you guys up to date!
Lastly, all promised features mentioned in the last anouncement are still on the table, except for the durability mechanic. We have bigger plans for this one in the next Disco & Weather Update (1.2).
We're thrilled to share that we're just 10 days away from the release of Unleaving the mind bending new hand painted puzzle game, scheduled for March 27th for PC and later for Mac OS!
Unleaving's demo was part of The Steam Next Fest and Women's Day Sale, but we wanted to give players who missed it a chance to try the demo, so we kept it a week after the Women's day sale. Now the game is only 10 days away!
Big thanks to the players who already played Unleaving's demo and gave us great feedback! Your input matters! We have taken your feedback into consideration and we've implemented some of the suggestions, it will follow in an update.
- Made fishing slightly more forgiving - Adjusted Anubias / Red Anubias to not "flicker/move" - Fixed a bug with the daily wheel - Fixed a dupe fish bug with new save files - Added SOLD OUT signs to Charlie's Cavern Shop
