Hello Dice Rollers!

The first update since the launch just yesterday is already in with update 1.01 today!

Here are the changes made in this update:

- The dice rolling and bouncing off of each other physics and mechanics were a little wonky at times, and they are still not where I want them to be. But this update definitely is a step in the right direction as I made sure that their deflection angles are never the exact same as another dice to prevent two dice looking like they are in the same spot going the same direction. More updates will come to resolve the issues of them sometimes bouncing off the screen. Just think of this occurrence as them bouncing off of the table but the game will always put them back on your screen at the end of each roll should it happen!

- Over 70 one liners, some intended to make you smile or laugh have been added to the Welcome screen. Please let me know your favorite lines and if you'd like to see more of these added over time!

- A 'Join the Discord' button has been added to the welcome screen so that people can easily join the ZaxtorGameS discord right from the game.

- One key in-game buttons such as what the Escape key and Tab key buttons do have been listed in the game settings accessed by clicking on the 'ZG' gear at the top left of the Welcome screen.

- Some of the sound effects that were too loud have been lowered as well as some of the sound effects that were too low of a volume have been slightly increase in volume to try and balance all of the sound effects in the game better.

- A typo in the code that would prevent you from being able to purchase the "Radiant Ruby' dice with DZ coins has been fixed.

Greetings, Hard Chip players!

Quite a lot happened since update 39. We have a long list of modifications to go through and a major change of distribution. Let's get through it!



1. New from Itch.io to Steam: The reach Steam has is no secret. In 2 weeks, the new HC's Steam page matched the itch.io one's total visits. HC has been on Itch.io for more than a year now. The difference is staggering!

2. New distribution method on Steam: with the Steam page comes all the advantages for release management. Simplified release process and updates are available in minutes. Daily quick fixes are possible. All savegames are kept automatically between updates. It's really fast. We tested a playtest version and it went well.

All HC's new versions will be uploaded to Steam only.

HC already has enough hardcore players giving a lot of feedback (meet them in the HC's discord server!), but nonetheless you could request access to the playtest build if you have good feedback to give!



Note that version 0.0.4.8-legacy will be forever up on Itch.io!



3. New Conducive Gates: before transistors had their gate split in two, each side was isolated from the other. While double gates transistor exists, this was not a proper representation of a simple planar mosfet HC is using. To allow HC to stick to a life-like simulated gate's behavior, the shape of transistors has to change. Introducing dedicated gate blocks:

This new shape allows multiple new behaviors! You can short gates now, use them to interconnect each other, connect them from multiple angles, and a lot of other fun tricks I'll let you figure out.

Note that as the shape of the transistor changes, your old saves won't work without an update on your part.



4. Update Online Scores: Online scores have been reset for the new versions of HC (0.0.5.0 and up). A lot of scores could have been made while the simulation allowed strange behavior. With so many scores, it is impossible to triage them properly. So big reset from 0.0.5.0!



Quality Of Life, Bug, and Crash fixes:
1. Instructions are not shown automatically, giving the chance to the player to figure it out by himself
2. Crash fix when creating a blueprint with an empty selection
3. Adding music in the editor, tentative 1!
4. Fix the camera lock when exiting the editor
5. "Remove all readouts" option when selecting blocks

6. Editor shortcuts are disabled when a modal is up
7. Rendering crash fail-safe, tentative fix
8. Key bindings list updated with latest controls (still static)
9. Main menu shows the new starting area (performance greatly improved!)
10. New 30fps refresh rate limits

Brutus Tanker Fuel Pump
You can fill fuel into a tanker at the gas station
You can change the configuration of 'access' and 'price' at the back of the tanker
Anyone who has 'access' can buy fuel from the tanker
Note that only one type of fuel(gasoline or diesel) can be loaded
Note that you cannot load cargo while your own fuel is loaded, and vice versa

Heavy/mid-duty vehicles and buses are added to Vehicle Delivery at the Jeju Harbor


Housing Multiplayer Support (Dedicated Server Only)
You can now rent a house on a dedicated server
The rental fee is 10% of buying cost every 7 Days (Dedicated server admin can change max days and fee rate)
You can pay the rental fee for up to 7 days
If you miss the due date, the house and all of its buildings will be lost
Server admin can cancel the rent or destroy buildings

Housing Dedicated Server Config
3 parameters are added to DedicatedServerConfig.json
MaxHousingPlotRentalDays: Setting max rental period. Default 7
HousingPlotRentalPriceRatio: Setting rental price per period. Default 0.1 (Meaning 10% of buying cost per period)
MaxHousingPlotRentalPerPlayer: Setting max housing rental per player. Default 1 (Thanks to Colin)
