Today, let's embark on a journey beyond mere survival tactics. Let's delve into the realm of planetary terraforming.

Picture this: A lone astronaut venturing into the far reaches of space, stumbling upon barren, lifeless planets with vast potential. Instead of merely eking out an existence on these desolate rocks, why not transform them into thriving havens of life and opportunity?

Enter the art and science — well, science, mostly — of terraforming.

If you’re not a huge ner– I mean, science fan, you might be wondering: what is Terraforming? Well, the E-Corp Intergalactic Dictionary defines Terraforming as:

the process of deliberately altering the environment of a planet to make it habitable for humans and other terrestrial life forms.

It’s the ultimate expression of Mininauts species’ indomitable spirit to turn anything and everything into a luxury beach resort.

But how does one go about reshaping an entire planet?
First, you must understand the unique challenges posed by each celestial body. Is it too cold, too hot, or lacking in essential resources like water and oxygen? Once you've assessed the conditions, it's time to get creative.



Here, you see an E-Corp operative stumbling upon the rugged beauty of a rock planet. Take in its harsh landscapes sculpted by aeons of geological forces. These formidable worlds, with their towering mountains, deep chasms, and, well… you know, rocks present a unique set of challenges and opportunities for terraforming. Imagine deploying advanced drilling technologies to tap into subterranean reservoirs, unlocking precious resources like minerals buried beneath the surface.

By strategically seeding the barren rock with hardy vegetation and engineering artificial habitats using the incredible power of E-Corp technology, we can gradually breathe life into these ancient, rocky bastions, turning them into thriving oases amidst the cosmic expanse. Through ingenuity and perseverance, even the most inhospitable of planets can be transformed into flourishing hubs of diversity and vitality.



Ethics? I don’t see a governing body..
Of course, terraforming isn't without its ethical and environmental considerations. We must show a commitment to treading carefully, before we inadvertently disrupt fragile ecosystems or irreversibly alter the balance of life on a planetary scale. Of course, an E-Corp Operative like Mininaut would never engage in such barbarism. Right, Mininaut? Mininaut?! Oh dear, what are you doing!?

Saloon Simulator - glivigamessa
Hello future Saloon owners!
As March rolls in, bringing the promise of spring, we're back with another exciting development log for Saloon Simulator. Without further ado, let's dive into the new features and enhancements we're currently working on.

Sheriff's Patrols
Playing outlaw in Blueberry became significantly more challenging with the arrival of Hank Custer – a man of high society, a charmer, and an unmatched horseshoe player. Our developers have been hard at work implementing his patrol mechanics. Engaging in criminal activities, such as disposing of bodies or dismantling wagons, will now raise his suspicions. Carelessness will swiftly land you behind bars.



Better hide!
However, you can distract him by serving stronger drinks than he's accustomed to. Maintain your saloon's reputation and a good relationship with Hank to lower his vigilance. In dire situations, where you must dispose of a VIP's body unnoticed, find cover in bushes or behind buildings to avoid his prying eyes.



Town expansion and time progression
Dedicated care for your saloon and reconciling the town folks' conflicting interests will mean you'll spend a lot of time in Blueberry. The saloon's success will attract travelers with full purses, benefiting both you and the local artisans. These craftsmen will invest the money earned—not only in refurbishing their workshops but also, along with you, in enhancing the shared spaces of the community. A beautiful symbol of life returning to the town will be the flora that flourishes over time.



Save system
Completing all tasks in Saloon Simulator Prologue will take around 2 hours, but that doesn't have to be the end of your adventure! After finishing the main storyline, you can continue playing, using the money earned in subsequent days to purchase upgrades and decorations for your saloon. We're currently working on a save system to ensure that the time you've invested in earning money and beautifying your saloon is not lost, allowing you to return to our game whenever you need a moment of relaxation.



Beautiful new illustrations
Though loading screens in our game appear only during launch or loading moments, it's important to us that every moment spent with Saloon Simulator is enjoyable. Therefore, our 2D artist has prepared beautiful illustrations to make these waiting times more pleasant. Inspired by historical paintings from the era in which the game is set, we've decided to also include these artworks in the game. Later in the game, you'll be able to purchase them from Addie, the carpenter with a huge artistic flair, and hang them in your saloon.



How about a new wallpaper?
On our Discord, which we warmly invite you to join, you'll find these graphics in high resolution, allowing you to use them as desktop wallpapers. On Discord, you can also chat with us, share suggestions, stay up-to-date with game developments, and join a wonderful community of people eagerly awaiting the opening of the Saloon in Blueberry.

TWEAKS/FIXES

- resolved some visibility issues regarding the not so friendly well dwellers. They should be easier to spot
- resolved some pathfinding issues for them as well.
- made them... more bearable to confront. Still not recomended.

Level3 is still in the making - and we made plenty of progress. The main logic of the level is almost finished, there will be more not so friendly dwellers to meet, and a big surprise at the end of the level :)
