This one adds more tweaks to the Sidekicks mod, and also adds more information on the quickstarts screen. It also fixes a regression in the prior build where the savegame folders were not in the most-recently-used order.
A new version of the demo is almost finished. We are just testing it and fixing issues we still find. These are two major things we have added to the demo.
The first is a cool finishing move that can be very useful if you are low on health. In the game you will learn how to use this attack, but in the meantime this is how it looks.
We are also changing the way the tutorial works. In the current demo, you have one tutorial that teaches you almost everything you need to know. We changed that tutorial and now it will teach you the basic things, like attacking, moving and dashing. And then you will have other, shorter tutorials as you get the different unlockable attacks (like spells or finishers).
Another thing is we added an NPC to the tutorial that teaches you the things. in the images below you can see him. That's actually Moni's Master.
Not sure if every girl will have a different NPC or if we are going to use the same for all. Ideally we would use a different one since (in the lore) each Doll has a different master, but if we can't add all of them, we will stick to this one.
We have been doing other, smaller things like improving the lights. For example in the image above you can see the tutorial has a different atmosphere now. Likewise, the demo level also has different lighting now.
We have also been working to improve the AI (as shown in a previous post), and making some small adjustments to make the Doll "snappier" as she's attacking. For example, in the current demo, if Moni is attacking and you want to turn to attack an enemy behind her, she turns slowly. Now in our current demo she turns faster.
